Apparently great customer service only applies to new customers. After a tech came out to service a neighbor's lines for the 4th time in 2 months, today he manages to damage my lines and disconnect my internet which my landline also runs on. After an hour and a half of dealing with the automated system, and appointment was generated for 2 days from now. Called again when I realized the phone was down (which is an emergency now) and was able to get someone in the Philippines to call me back. She insisted that it was my router, not knowing that the router she said I needed would never support the internet speed I pay for and have been paying for since early 2021. Was put on an waiting list for a time window for tomorrow and just received a text saying that they couldn't accommodate that time. This is an emergency being as the landline itself is a lifeline to our disabled family member. The majority of our home runs on wifi. UNACCEPTABLE XFINITY! YOU HAVE TO DO BETTER FOR YOUR LOYAL CUSTOMERS! *For new customers, do not expect the same customer service when you have an issue that you received when you signed on. *too bad we can't leave a half star rating. read more

I usually don't write reviews but in this case I had to. I know cable companies are all basically the same whether it's Verizon, Comcast or others but we happen to have Comcast and recently had the worst customer service experience in my life at 60+ years old. To make a long story short they made a sizable error in our billing, charging us for extra cable boxes that we didn't have. This had gone on for just more than a year and I realize maybe we should have caught that ourselves but why should we have to check line items every month when so much of it doesn't make sense anyway. So when I questioned why the refund was only a small portion of what the disputed amount was they proceeded to tell me it's Comcast policy not to refund any mistakes that go back more than three months. It wasn't so much the monetary value which was over $150 was more the principle of the thing where they just didn't care. What made this even more frustrating Comcast must've changed their merry go round menu selection when you call because it was impossible to actually talk to a person. I had to go over to the Comcast office in Exton to talk to someone in person. That was even more frustrating because the guy Josh behind the counter could have cared less and didn't really want to hear anymore of what I had to say only to reiterate what the company policy is which to me was not acceptable, it was THEIR error. I was nice and said I have to talk to a supervisor and that seemed to really tic him off and then I saw him in the office talking to the boss for a couple minutes and then she came out and asked me how she could help me so I had to go through the whole thing again. The upshot was they gave me an extra $25 off my bill, wow how generous, so I just said fine. At that point I had no other choice but to pay it or cancel my subscription which I would have & wanted to but that would've made life difficult in our household with others with how and what they watch on the Comcast selection guide So I just wanted to state my extreme displeasure for the Comcast so called customer service or lack of and disappointing to know how they resolved this mostly because this was their mistake and it cost me the customer money and a whole lot of wasted time. I asked for an extension to pay my bill. it was granted my past due and my new charges must be made on 7/18 on the 14th of July I called customer service to explain that the debit card on file was stolen and no longer operable. I explained that the bank has every intention to reimburse me for the charges used. So I called xfinity and Explained that the debit care must be deleted from my account. 1 was assured it was taken off and the operator extended my payment until 7/26 so I could get a new card and hopefully get at least some of the money put back in my account. I was so pleased I couldn't believe how helpful she was. In turn I told everyone how terrific the service was. I know that 2 people joined that day based on my recommendation. So today my WiFi and cable is off! I explained as calmly as possible what I was told on Thursday when I called. The young man said there was no note in the computer about that discussion. Also if the bill was not paid today it would be disconnected for good.? I was not permitted to speak to the woman who set u the arrangement f me. To make it worse she never deleted the card after blatantly telling me she did. I just wanted to say that I have a series of bad luck over this month. I thought things were looking up with the customer service operator. I was so frustrated that I told the guy I just can't take anymore bull! This was their employee who screwed it up and now it's on me. I honestly told him that I felt like jumping out my window! Nobody cared. He couldn't be bothered to try and find a solution. Just like most reviews here, Xfinity's customer service and scheduling is just the worst. This is more of a vent because of course they will NEVER get any better, but I am just another frustrated customer. I was contacted about an upgrade to my internet services, so I scheduled the appointment a week ago for today. Confirmed it twice via text messages. Got a message saying the tech was arriving, to which I silently gave a little praise to Xfinity for being on time. My mistake. Got a call from a rep just to make sure I was home to which I confirmed and they said the tech would be in shortly. 45 minutes later, no tech. I call, on hold forever. Get the opportunity to chat with a support rep via text. They were pleasant and trying to be helpful so I am not blaming them. Almost 30 to 40 minutes of texting, which included trying to sell an irate customer that is trying to be pleasant a cell phone. I declined, got back to the tech issue. Long wait. Long story short, no apology, no reason, just a tech will be out between 3pm and 5pm (which I still don't believe) even though they were supposed to be here between 10am and 12pm. If you are late with your bill by 1 second, they will cut your service, but they can waste your entire day with no apology or reason because they can. Had to shift and entire aftenoon of things I needed to get done now thanks to Xfinity. In the end it is my fault because I'm an idiot for paying for the services from such a bad company. So I have to seek out other options. But Xfinity is truly one of the worst around. I would tell them to do better, but it's just not going to happen as they have continually shown. read more

In terms of customer service, Comcast Xfinity is absolutely the worst. There is no question that they no compassion from their customer service reps. They read from a script what to say and no one will dare make any kind of concession to appease the customer. It's that "take it or leave it attitude" which makes we so happy knowing that the younger generation has figured out how to bypass cable. I am slowing learning and it feels awesome to know I am joining a large contingent of cable-cutters. I hope to someday see that Comcast will be forced to sell off the assets of the company. What comes around goes around Mr. Roberts! I am so happy to have left south jersey for sunnier skies in an area of Florida where comcast is not even an option. Xfinity is the worst. Their customer service sucks. And their internet service is never on whether I pay the bill or not. It will just turn off and flash a bunch of lights. And when I call customer service they never know any of the answers. The only time I had good service was when I talked to a supervisor one time. And any time I ask for one the agent says they aren't available, so it took me forever to get one on the phone. Everytime it's a few days before my bill, the modem turns off. And they always want to send a technician that never does anything and doesn't know any of the answers when they get here. read more

Signed a contract for 2 years with Comcast Infinity - assured by sales person that price would remain unchanged except for govt taxes. They just bumped up the charges. On calling, was told that it's an increase in the 'service fee' and that it was included in the fine print. As if folks have the time to read every line of multiple pages of fine print. Now, they can potentially increase the 'service' fee multiple times over the contract life (there's a penalty for short closure), and we have no choice but to take it. We trusted Comcast - that trust was belied. A DISHONEST company with deceptive marketing practices and people. STAY AWAY from Comcast - try FIOS instead. read more

My biggest issues with this company are two things. It takes many calls to ever get an issue resolved and the various departments just route you to another department to get rid of you. Also their customer service provides inaccurate information and then when that impacts your cost, they will not own up and take any responsibility. It has been the most frustrating experience. They take no initiative to call you back with a response and instead ask you to call them back in 48 hours and you have to go through another group of people to try to find someone to help you. I would dump them in a flash but there are no other cable providers in our area so they have a lock on the market. They charge what they want and we have to pay. What an absolute rip off. read more

Every year, I have a 1 year contract with Xfinity. The very next month my bill is $10 more than the contract. Calling Xfinity support shows a complete lack of respect for customers' time. Hours on hold is a regular experience. Support cannot explain why fallacious charges are incurred, yet claim they are valid. If you're having a similar problem, call and email your Senators and Representatives and demand an investigation of Xfinity for price gouging and a monopoly. It is a monopoly because Comcast owns Xfinity and ATT Broadband. In my area, residential customers can only get DSL internet from Xfinity or ATT. I didn't know if I could give zero starts or not, so I just put one star. Someone gave my address and unit number as their own in error to Xfinity. Xfinity did a HARD disconnect of my service, stating that I told Xfinity I was moving. I NEVER put in a move order. I have lived here for years. Xfinity acknowledged their error and had to send someone out physically to re-install my service. I was told I would not be charged for the re-installation. It was put on my bill anyway - $106. Not only that...but then I was disconnected three times from February 2023 to today Aril 16, 2023 in error!!!! None of the representatives I have dealt with have cared. One was hardcore trying to sell me on putting my cell phone service through Xfinity and was pushing to get my social security number. I even tried to go into a location near me to get assistance and they could REALLY care less. This has been a nightmare! I should be credited for two months, at this point. I work from home and this has been a HUGE inconvenience since February, being wrongfully disconnected three times! My due date isn't until April 21st and I was disconnected AGAIN today! I feel hustled. My monthly bill is $75. Xfinity is saying I owe close to $300. This has been a nightmare! An absolute nightmare and I can't get a manager/supervisor on the line to really deal the errors Xfinity made since February. I wrote a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. And I will be sending an email to the headquarters as well. If I don't get a credit for the nightmare I have endured for the past two months...I will change providers. Xfinity won't care because they are hustling so many others and me leaving won't matter. This is just really disheartening and truly an inconvenience. The Xfinity reps are humans who pretty much act like robots anyway. They recognize their errors, but do nothing to fix it. They downright lied to me when I tried to downgrade my plan to try to save a few dollars and I didn't have some sports channels during the NBA playoffs for my son ugh! Then when I tried to switch back to my original plan they said "oh sorry that plan is GONE you now have to pay $20 more!" You honestly can't make this up?!? I would like to share my experience with Comcast/Xfinity beginning November 25, 2022. I spoke with representative Mike. He insisted I need to make the deposit of $50.00, even though my daughter's card has been on file for the past 2 years. I told him "I didn't want my card on file," however, reluctantly I gave Mike my card information. I asked why I need to make a deposit when we're moving?" and keeping the service. They have to do a "new service" although, technically "transferring service." December 19, 2022, I noticed an unauthorized debit amount of $234.07 withdrawn by Comcast/Xfinity. I was outraged to say the least. I have spoken to literally 5o representatives back and forth like a "ping pong ball." Supervisors and representatives included. I finally got representative Amy on December 20, 2022, and she was going to reverse the unauthorized debit. Amy gave me ticket # XXX XXX XXX. I was elated. Someone finally hears me. "Not!" I have contacted, the Executive office and spoke with, Gary, Crystal, Lovely, and Ms. Gay. All of the CEO's I have sent letters to and contacted to no avail. Ms. Gay has emailed me called me; she has requested my bank statements. To no avail. I have contacted the BBB, the FCT and it's like the never-ending story. I cannot believe all of the months that have gone by, and I have gotten nowhere. From November 25, 2022, to date April 28, 2023. Do not place your debit card or any other payment method on file with anyone. This is to help others, who may be thinking about allowing your payments to be debited from your account. So, you don't have to go through this type of unnecessary treatment from any business establishment. I thought I was a valued customer. By the wat Comcast's mission statement is "to create "incredible technology and entertainment that connects millions of people to the moments and experiences that matter the most." I regret the day I chose this service. In terms of installation, a large box was left on my front step with instructions for me on how to install cable and internet in my new home. Of course I was not successful and had to wait over a week for a live person to come for the installation. Next, I've had problems with my router and it already had to be replace six months after I got it. Then yesterday, while I was working from home, the cable and internet started going on and off until eventually it stopped working. I called Comcast and scheduled an appointment for today. The technician arrived and 15 minutes later I received a text stating he was on his way and close to the house. He diagnosed the problem and told me the signal into the house was fine and the issue was with the cable wiring in the house. Next he told me "Comcast no longer handles wires and cables in the house, I needed to call an electrician". I damn near had a stroke! On top of that, the technician told me he may need to come back again after the electrician is done to add the cable connection to cable ends as some electricians do so that that type of work! I am looking at not having internet service for a week!!!!!Great turnkey customer service Comcast. read more

First, I spent four hours on the phone last year about my new phone that I couldn't get internet on. Then, another four when the remote control stopped working and I had tried about 30 codes myself. Then, it took about three hours for the representative (these have always been nice) to discover that I needed a new remote. Last month this new one stopped working and the tech found a code that worked after trying about 20 or so. Each code had to be entered a certain way by me. Oh, this was small beans for what comes next. My package was expiring, and was no longer available. It was available the day before it's expiration, but not the day after. It had been the least expensive package with very few TV channels and enough internet for one computer. So, I had to upgrade, and pay more. This new one included voice, and HD, so I needed new equipment. They sent it, and right away when I went to install it I had a question that was not covered in the small booklet or on their web site. I spent at least 2 hours trying to get a living, breathing person. I do not cry easily. But, I started to sob because the automated phone system repeatedly would not put me through to a live person. I somehow finally by lying about what I wanted to the computer, got a human being. (I wish that I could tell you how I managed this; but, I cannot remember because of the state I was in.) After waiting for another 20 minutes, a very nice man helped me with my question, anger and frustration. LOL! It is a good thing I contacted them about how to correctly use the splitter I had with the new equipment. Because, they had sent me equipment to connect another television, rather than updated equipment needed for the new package! If, I had installed it, it of course wouldn't have worked. And I would have wasted even more time. They are sending someone out the day after tomorrow to bring me the right equipment and the technician will wait outside (due to the virus) till I can get everything to work. Mistakes will be made. I am okay with that. But, not making technical support and customer service available to their customers is not. It was not this bad a few months ago; so this is a deliberate decision made by their head honchos. And, they do not provide enough resources on their web site to help you troubleshoot problems yourself. They, instead suggest articles to read that do not answer your questions. Thankfully, all the Technicians and Customer Service representatives are super. They exhibit great attitude, patience and persistence. Phone voice and text are free with my TV and Internet service. (They no longer give you a bit of internet free anymore; you have to pay.) If not for this, I would move heaven and earth to get out of my contract with them. If I signed up for a 2 year (i can't remember), I am sure they will cut off my service if I do not pay. And then, I will call the Better Business Bureau and explain how shoddy they treat their customers, and hope they can convince xfinity to just end my contract without fines and nonsense. I may have to contact BBB now to get proper credits on my account. (They started billing me extra until I return the old, antiquated equipment they set me up with three years ago.) Years ago, BBB got Sleepys to replace an expensive mattress they sold me. Just before the warranty was about to end, my new husband and I found ourselves rolling into the middle of the bed and waking up aching all over. We were only 46, so it wasn't sudden onset arthritis. They were horrible to us. They sent out "bed inspectors" who tied a very thin string around the mattress and placed a ball that weighed a couple of ounces on it and because the ball did not roll and the bed didn't say when no one was on it, they refused to replace it. I had suggested to the inspectors that a bowling ball or my body would give a true evaluation; but, they said that that wasn't allowed...?
