Their room had a sliding wood/glass door that didn't lock and mine was a sliding door with flimsy latch. I def wouldn't have stayed if I was concerned about security...couldn't sit on patio as there were wasps nest. FRONT DESK: She needs training. RESTAURANT: Only one was open when I went (this was several months ago), they had like 4 items and RIDICULOUS prices and service was AWFUL, even for a to go... CAFE: Over priced again..and coffee not great. VALET: The young Hispanic guy that I kept crossing everytime I needed a cart ride was only into his phone. I was concerned at one point because he was driving while texting (yes I know it's a golf cart but still) he barely took his eyes off the phone. LAUNDRY: OLD dirty AND 2 did not work! Each bldg has 1 washer and dryer and I had to walk to different bldgs to find one that worked. GOLF: Anyone I came into contact with on the green was very nice. GYM: Gym was NOT walkable it was miles away. CATERING: Lady was nice that set up dinner and breakfast, not sure what the deal with the kitchen chef/staff was because twice they would come out and remove food we paid for before people even got to eat! Overall, good (If I was paying it would be rated diff). This place can try and update all they want, but without the proper staff it's not going to be a success. Highly recommend the owner gets a new manager because this one is not competent (never met the manager just assuming as they wouldn't have all these negative reviews if the manager was competent, whilst Reno isn't fixable...clean sheets and staff are).

I had high hopes for this resort, as we were here for a week for a corporate sales meeting. but…read moreunfortunately, the experience felt less like a relaxing getaway and more like being assigned to a forgotten outpost with room keys. The rooms were not only smelly and poorly cared for, but they came with a special bonus: food left in the refrigerator from a previous guest. Nothing says "luxury resort" quite like opening the fridge and discovering someone else's leftovers still enjoying their vacation. The entire hotel and conference center feels old, dated, and badly in need of attention. Not "charming historic character" dated -- more like "no one has invested in this place since fax machines were exciting" dated. Getting from the rooms to the conference center is its own endurance event. Be prepared to hike what feels like a country mile just to attend a meeting. They do offer golf cart pickup, theoretically. Whether someone actually arrives is apparently part of the resort's mystery-adventure experience. Food options were also a disappointment. The resort advertises a high-end steak restaurant, which sounds wonderful until you realize it was never open. That left the bar as the only real food option, because apparently nothing says resort dining like being forced to eat wherever someone happens to still be serving fries. Overall, this property is tired, inconvenient, poorly maintained, and wildly overpromised. The marketing suggests upscale resort. The reality suggests "conference center that gave up." I would not recommend staying here unless you enjoy mystery leftovers, long walks, and the suspense of wondering whether basic services will happen.

I've lived in Oxford Place for about five years, and while the typical HOA frustrations (high fees…read moreand little transparency) have already been covered elsewhere, my main concern is the complete lack of action regarding resident safety. For several years, a maintenance employee has made me feel unsafe in my own home. At first, I didn't recognize the behavior for what it was. He initially entered my unit a few times for repairs and came across as "friendly." Over time, however, I noticed that he consistently appeared whenever I stepped outside, whether I was walking my cat, checking the mail, or going to my car. He would sneak glances at me, and his work always seemed to take him wherever it needed to in order to keep me in his sight. Even after I changed my routine, he would eventually reappear at the new times. He began spending long periods near my patio, frequently looking in my direction. If I went inside and closed my blinds, he would leave shortly after, but as soon as he saw me again, he would reappear and linger. The pattern became impossible to ignore. The situation escalated when he began showing up at the community gym during my workouts, staring until I caught him doing so. Once, he even appeared at a children's pool party wearing only swim shorts and sunglasses, watching me again--this time much more openly than usual. I didn't even realize it was him at first because he wasn't in his usual uniform. This happened a few more times where I felt eyes on me, grew uncomfortable and then realized it was him again just not in uniform. I felt nauseated thinking about how many times this might have happened without me noticing. I eventually adapted my life to avoid him: I stopped sitting on my patio, stopped walking my cat, and kept my blinds closed almost all the time. I reported his behavior to management three times, explaining that I no longer felt safe. Each time, my concerns were brushed off as him being "friendly." I never asked for anyone to be fired, only that he cease unnecessary contact with me and receive harassment-prevention training. I was told that training was already planned due to a previous incident involving another staff member. Still, his behavior continued. Finally, I installed cameras outside my patio. As soon as he noticed them, his behavior changed completely--he stopped lingering and only appeared when doing actual work and did not look at me. This made it clear to me that he was fully aware of how inappropriate his behavior had been. Months later, during a community road project, I parked in the wrong area by mistake. That same employee knocked on my door early in the morning to tell me to move my car. When I couldn't find it and went to the HOA office to ask if it had been towed, he appeared again and while we all figured the situation out, said in front of management, that he "knew me" and therefore knew my car, confirming that he hadn't received that information from them. To my knowledge, there is no legitimate reason he should know which car, out of thousands parked in the community, was mine. We have never had a personal or friendly relationship. Later that day, I asked management to confirm what he said while it was still fresh in everyone's memory. They refused to record the conversation, declined to meet formally, and then claimed they couldn't recall him saying that. One manager went so far as to say that my complaint was "because he smiled at you." Reducing years of harassment and stalking to a "smile" was not only dismissive but cruel. I left in tears. Regardless of whether they personally believed me, their lack of professionalism and empathy was appalling. This is not how safety concerns should ever be handled. To anyone considering living here: if you are a single woman or have daughters, please understand that management will not protect you. You will be left to defend yourself, and your safety will not be taken seriously.
