I was a passenger the driver had the heat turned on during July. I went up to tell him and he said "I got you," but nothing changed. I booked a 14 passenger party bus for my birthday through Columbus Coach. After price checking a bunch of different party bus companies, I ended up going with Columbus coach as they had the most reasonable pricing and the best variety of transportation services. The day of the event everything pretty much went off without a hitch minus one slight miscommunication where the party bus showed up at the wrong time on the day of. However, after calling and talking with the manager the issue was resolved very quickly and they were able to adjust to the correct time that I had scheduled the bus for. They were very apologetic for the miscommunication and handled everything accordingly to ensure that I still had a party bus for my event. We rented the bus for four hours and designated a pick up and drop off location. During the four hours our driver took us wherever we requested so we were able to bar hop around and enjoy drinking on the bus. Our bus driver was awesome and very accommodating. He was there to pick us up on time and was very quick with communicating on pick up after each bar we stopped at. We were having such a great time that we even asked if we could extend the bus an extra hour in which he allowed with no problem. All in all it was a night to remember and we all enjoyed the added aspect of the party bus. I will definitely go through Columbus coach again in the future for any other transportation services that I may need. read more

I reserved a 32 passenger limo coach for a bachelorette party through Columbus Coach. I planned a DVD slide show and playlist on my iPod after confirming the sound system and DVD/tv would be available. The bus showed up and neither worked. The driver, Alban, was able to coordinate a bus switch which we agreed to. We ended up in a much smaller bus where we ultimately were still not able to use anything but the radio. I called Gary at Columbus Coach the following day to express my discontent. He said he was " taking notes" but offered no resolution to the problem. He then ended the conversation by asking me if we went over on our time in the bus. Amazing customer service (insert sarcastic tone)! I would NEVER recommend this car service to anyone. I will allow one star because I felt our driver was accommodating. Update 1/8/14 The owner called today and was very apologetic and offered to refund 150. This seems fair to me so I accepted. The short of this review: I cannot recommend the service. Billing practices of the company are deceptive. I was originally quoted $165, plus tax (odd, seeing as there's no such thing as sales tax on a service) - I felt that this was a bit steep for an average sedan's rate , the destination was less than an hour from the airport, but was comfortable with it. The day prior to traveling I noticed a charge on my debit card for $220, I assumed that it was authorized for the greater amount in case they needed to charge for incidentals/cleaning. Upon being picked up at the airport, I confirmed the rate that was being quoted. Instead I was informed that the additional fee was a "fuel charge." I wasn't aware that I was chartering a helicopter that afternoon, thus requiring a "fuel charge," to be added to an already high service rate. No return call from their offices when attempting to resolve the matter. read more

Rented a party bus for my bachelor party and the bus was nice enough and severed it purpose. However, things got a little shady at the end of the night. Once we got back to our drop off location the bus driver approached me to ask about the tip (he mentioned it multiple times throughout the trip). We had already put our money together and gave him 20% in cash. He counted the money before we left and complained that it was only 20%. He said that was average and he thought he deserved more. This made us all very uncomfortable and the entire process seemed shady. It just felt strange having to defend a 20% tip when the bus driver only did an average job. One of my friend just gave him an extra $40 because things started to get a little heated. The next day a $200 charge appeared on my credit card with out notice. When I called to ask about this they said that we didn't clean out the bus and someone vomited in the back. Both of which were false. We cleaned out the entire bus and the only thing we didn't due is vacuum. I made them send me a picture of the illeged vomit and it ended up being a piece of bread that was stepped on, and not vommit. But none the less they charged me. Take a note from the other Yelpers and try to go through a different company. But if this is your last choice be prepared to pay more than you bargained for. read more

Living in Chicago has spoiled me as I've never had to worry about such things as "designated drivers". But I knew in planning my friend's bachelorette party in Columbus that I would have to arrange for some sort of transportation to get us around that evening. Enter Columbus Coach. The process of booking was just fine. Since it was a Saturday night, we were forced into booking for a minimum of 4 hours, which really brought up the price. When things started to go wrong: -our driver, Albin, seemed to have no idea where he was going. While he arrived early, it took us about 30 minutes to arrive to our first destination. About 10 min longer than I thought it would take us -after unloading, Albin approached me and said "did they tell you about gratuity when you made the reservation?" Really? Did you just ask for a tip? Completely unprofessional. -our night ended a little early when one of the girls in our party got sick. Albin was supposed to be parked around the corner, so I was a little surprised when it took him 25 min to come and pick us up. I was surprised no more when he showed up in regular "club clothes" instead of the uniform he was in before. Methinks he might have been out having himself a nice Saturday night? -once everyone was on-board, we told him our next destination. He proceeded to argue with me about it and said it would take too long. We still had an hour and a half left on our reservation. -on our way driving there, he asked which way I wanted to go. At this point I was so fed up I just yelled 'I'm not mapquest! Figure it out!" Finally we arrived back at the bachelorette's house and could finally get off that godforsaken bus. The bus itself was nice but the driver (who is the face of the company) will deter me from referring him to anyone else. read more

SCAM. We booked this company for a wedding. We paid in full 3 months prior to the wedding. Service was fine, and driver was good. Almost 1 YEAR later, we get emails from accounting saying we had an outstanding balance of $1,200. They start emailing my wife saying they were trying to reach us and have been unsuccessful. All they sent was the invoice and a new payment form so we could just send over the money, no questions asked. They didn't ask for proof of payment or ask if we could prove we did. They just wanted us to repay. My wife sends the confirmation email from their own systems showing payment was successful, they said this was not good enough. I had all the credit card statements proving I had paid. After my wife took time away from teaching and her young students to sort this business out, they then email saying "oh its our fault." They blamed it on a former employee billing it in the wrong way. When I asked for an apology to my wife in an email, they said they did already. Maybe this company should sort out their billing records and own accounting systems before blaming customers for not paying. More headaches than what their service was worth. Go elsewhere. read more
