My wife and I both got tatted by Carli when she still worked here. She was great, tattoos are great. This review is about my experience with the new apprentice Danny. Hes great. I got one of his personal designs on my calf. Its my 7th tattoo (all medium-large sized) and I did not expect the calf to be so painful. There's a big nerve there or Im just a sissy about my legs lol. Point is Dan is super considerate about the pain. We split a probably one session tattoo into 2, and both times he let me come in on a Saturday which is not the shops normal hours. Everyone else there has always been super nice to me and my wife. It seems like a really positive atmosphere putting out quality work. I will definitely get more work from Danny. read more

I got 3rd earlobe piercings here two months ago, and the entire healing process has been hellish. Both developed pretty noticeable bumps, and no amount of care on my part got them to go down. I've had multiple piercings done in Minneapolis and I've never had this problem. I finally took them out tonight hoping that the tissue can heal up and maybe those bumps will go away. In taking them out, I noticed that the jewelry had been bent way out of shape when it was first inserted. I have my doubts that removing the piercings will get my ears back to normal, but I'm almost certain that they never would have healed if I left them in. A friend of mine got two cartilage piercings here (rook and daith) around the same time and also had to remove both of them, and if I'm being honest the placement looked obviously wrong even before they got irritated. I'm not usually one to leave a bad review, but piercings are expensive, and if they're done poorly you're essentially paying to have to deal with infections and future scarring. You deserve to go to someone with more training and more consistent results. I don't mean this as an insult to Abby (who is nice!), but I really think you should look elsewhere. read more

I recently went to their new location to get a tattoo and it went exactly like I hoped it would go. Their greeter - super friendly, very accommodating and even showed me around the new place a bit and offered me something to drink while I waited on my tattoo artist. My tattoo artist - Carli Ihde - I thought she did a phenomenal job. It was a cover-up tattoo that I had been wanting to get done for sometime. After you set up the actual tattoo appointment, she emails you about a day or two in advance to show you the design she came up with. Depending on how you feel, she'll tweak it for you and make some changes to fit exactly what you want. Overall, I was very pleased with the work she did. So happy with my new tattoo! Also, they used to be above the food court at the Fox River Mall and they switched locations now, it's not that far away from the mall. Over the last 2 months I got 4 piercings. For my fourth I went here. They where extremely friendly BUT I've been here before and the others I've talked to in the past have been very rude. I have never had a tattoo but I've been considering one for years. Yesterday, I finally decided it was time. A friend recommended Colts as his daughter had been there and had a good experience. Matt did a couple small pieces on my fingers. While he was reluctant at first they turned out beautiful. I couldn't be happier with professionalism and kindness of the staff. The young woman at the front desk was especially helpful. Even when calling to inquire about appointment availability they were extremely friendly.
