Female owned and operated! Enough said! From the moment you walk in, the delicious smell of popping popcorn hits you. Made on site, you are guaranteed freshness and flavor. Colorado Kernals has so many flavors to choose from, so you might as well just get several. There is an almost equal number of sweet and savory options. My favorite was the sour cream and cheddar. They also put together gift baskets which are great for anyone on your gift list. Thank you, Colorado Kernals for getting this right. As a popcorn lover, you have a loyal fan in me! read more

I cannot say enough nice things about Colorado Kernels. I found this hidden gem through a mailer and decided to visit the store. Jannelle (the owner) was so very friendly and helpful. She gave us samples and they were so good, we bought about 10 bags. I'm even mailing gift baskets to friends/family back home. They're going to LOVE IT! I'm looking forward to hearing the praise once everyone receives their Christmas gifts and I plan on this turning into a yearly tradition. Great for birthday gifts to give throughout the year as well. I'm excited to have found this small business and look forward to supporting it. read more

1-Star Review for Colorado Kernels Listen, the popcorn at Colorado Kernels is straight-up amazing. Buttery, crunchy, perfectly seasoned magic that makes you want to buy the entire store and bathe in it. We dropped a solid $160 like responsible adults who definitely don't need more snacks, and honestly, that part was worth every penny. Too bad the experience came with a side of unhinged customer service from the white crazy lady with pockmarks all over her face. We had a few simple questions (you know, normal stuff like "what's in this flavor" and "is this gluten-free") and she looked at us like we'd just asked her to donate a kidney. Zero help. Maximum attitude. She was so rude to my sweet mother (my wife, mind you) that I genuinely thought we'd accidentally wandered into a popcorn-based hostage situation. Every sentence out of her mouth had the warmth and charm of a raccoon that just got woken up from a nap in a dumpster. Popcorn: 10/10, would marry. That particular employee: negative 47/10, would not trust her with my kettle corn let alone basic human decency. If you go, just pray you get literally anyone else working the counter. Bring your own popcorn questions... and maybe some emotional support snacks in case she decides to verbally assault you over a $160 bag of deliciousness. Never again unless they put that lady in the walk-in freezer where she belongs. read more

As soon as you walk in you get hit with the scent of popcorn! It smells amazing! While waiting I saw they had Pumpkin Spice Popcorn and got super excited and wanted to try it but wasn't sure if they did samples. The lady was super nice and offered me some to try and I absolutely loved it!!!! She saw how excited I was and noticed me looking for a mini bag and she ended up secretly making me one! My Mother in Law was also trying different flavors and everything we tried had an amazing flavor to it! We got 5 bags of popcorn 2 big 3 small for $22. We didn't notice till after they closed that she didn't even charge us for the mini one she freshly made for me! I will definitely be coming back for not only my self but gifts and telling everyone about them!!!! read more

Beautiful arrangements used as gifts many times...BUT when we got an extra small bag for us...wow! What a surprise. It was inedible with an abundance of shells! Very sad, we threw the remainder away. Sorry, but we will never buy from them again. Very disappointing!!! read more

Friendly service by the owner along with an offer to try flavors that were new to me. Left with four bags of a variety of flavors. Enough to satisfy my curiosity and tastes as well as dropping off for my grandchildren to enjoy. A nice treat for me while out and about running errands. read more

Totally awesome caramel recipe is uniquely delicious. I've been very pleasantly surprised by the wonderful flavors and the deluxe nuts in the River Bottom Crunch. They also FedEx an order to you if required! The front door and telephone sales staff can't be any nicer! What a relief. I predict you are going to love this product for the gourmet quality and crisp clean crunch! read more

We had a last minute idea to do popcorn for our cocktail hour at the wedding and Jolynn and Dave made it happen. They had our popcorn done a day earlier than expected and everyone we met at Colorado Kernels was very pleasant. They have great flavors and a lot of choices to choose from. My only regret is that we didn't order more of the Avalanche I plan on using them again in the future. read more

If you're a popcorn lover like myself you gotta go to Colorado Kernels. They have an awesome variety of savory and sweet flavors in different size bags or tins. If you're curious about a flavor ask one of the friendly staff members, they'll let you sample any flavor. Their cheddar jalapeño is the business!!!! And you can't go wrong with good ole fashioned buttered popcorn with real butter! read more

I can not say enough good things about Colorado Kernels. My wife and I have been buying their products for over 6 years and they never disappoint on product quality and service. We are addicted to their Cheddar Jalapeño Popcorn but, we love all the flavors we've tried. We live in California and have them ship us popcorn once a month. The delivery is fast and the popcorn is always fresh to the last kernel. On several occasions we have visited their store in Colorado Springs and they are the nicest people on the planet. read more

Great popcorn, wonderful experience, and very kind people. If your looking for delicious popcorn I would come here.

There is not better popcorn than Colorado Kernels. The business is hard to find when you find Colorado Kernels, it worth the effort. It is off I-25 and Circle Head east I believe three lights take a left and it is shopping center to the west and next to goodwill. read more

We just visited Colorado Kernels for the first time. It was the best experience we ever had. The friendly staff gave us all the free samples we could eat. We left with 10 bags of avalanche and a lot of the cheddar cheese. The BEST. read more

Really glad I stopped in here today! What a great LOCAL company that still values personal touch and interaction! Spoke with Jolynn (sorry if I've misspelled the name!) about the company and how they work with schools and local organizations to help fundraise. I loved that there were samples of all the popcorn to try and the many, many options for gifts, tins and baskets. They have a ton of variety of flavors to choose from and all of them were so fresh! What a great local find! read more

I have driven by Colorado Kernels store many times and seemed always a bit too rushed to stop in, but recently i did and i am glad i did so. I was pleasantly surprised to see such a well organized and very clean display of a wide variety of popcorn. Folks this isn't your typical department store place for popcorn. Its a serious little popcorn factory that makes gourmet bags of flavored fun. Jay, a nice young man wearing dental braces, welcomed me and proceeded to not only take the time to tell me about the place, but offer wonderful little cups of samples. You got to try the Aspen Toffee and the cinnamon. Simply delicious. My only criticism is that the popcorn is a bit over priced, nonetheless, i will be back! Dr. Mike read more

This is the best popcorn ever. When I was in town the staff was so nice and the place was decorated beautifully for Christmas! I ordered through amazon recently and my order arrived quickly and in perfect condition! Thank you for continuing to bless me with that Colorado goodness! read more

The popcorn I got was great. The prices, while still a little high, seemed more reasonable than Coles.

Stopped by this store just looking for gift items and was amazed by the variety and flavors of popcorn. I have never been to a store like this. The lady behind the counter was extremely patient and helpful allowing us to sample many different flavors. Most of the samples I tasted were really good which only made it harder for me to choose which ones to buy for myself and those to give away as gifts. I thought the pumpkin, chocolate avalanche, peppermint, and bacon cheddar were pretty good. My wife tried other ones that she also liked as well. Overall it's a great little store. I will definitely make I stop by the next time I'm in town. read more

I would just like to say that I was curious at first since I only saw it when we drove by it so many times very late at night. We happened to be near it when it was day light and decided to drop in. Its a cute little store, but the smell of fresh popcorn really was the best! I got some little mini bags to try out, they were only $1.50 per bag and it was a decent handful worth of it. They had a lot of different types to chose from. The Cherry Cordial and Avalanche flavors caught my eye, drizzled in white and dark chocolate. Delicious! Both of them were great! I think if I am ever to have another craving for any drizzled popcorn I will be going here from now on! Plus! The mini bags are a perfect size to not over do it on sweets! read more

This local, family owned Colorado business is the best popcorn around! I needed a last minute order for my family reunion and they worked with me on customizing their labels and shipping their great flavors to me during the same business day! Their Chocolate Avalanche is to die for and my husband loved sipping his beer while munching on the Jalapeño and Cheddar. Will definitely use this company again! read more
