I've been a customer of the Daniel Hart Hair Studio for about six months and have loved every minute of it! Daniel has taken my color and cut to another level, moving me from what my Sister used to call "Brooding East Coast Brown" to what she now refers to as a "Heaven of Highlights." Bottom line - Daniel does great hair and this review could stop now! But that wouldn't be enough... Last week, I came in for my regular six week appointment but I was not alone this time. Accompanying me was Joyce, one of my most beloved friends who just told cancer to GET LOST! Yes - she's a very recent Survivor of Breast Cancer. And for the first time in a year, she finally had some gorgeous hair that needed some care. Without asking, Daniel led Joyce to the chair and gave her what every Cancer Survivor wants and needs...A few hours of normal! For the time she was in Daniel's chair, she's wasn't sick or in recovery. She was just a woman getting her hair styled and colored a light pink to signify that once again, her life was hers to live. Daniel made Joyce's day, week, month and year! The two have a lot in common...Daniel won't brag about what he did that day and Joyce won't celebrate her own personal journey. So I write this to honor two people who took a moment and made it forever memorable to me! So go visit the Daniel Hart Hair Studio in Fort Worth, TX for an Amazing haircut, color or style. And while you're there, make sure to tell him Thank You for making one Cancer Survivor feel like herself again!

My results were honestly so disappointing and this is why ; first of all , I was promised by Rosa a…read moreblue color and she told me she could pull it off . I know it's a very hard color to dye but I already have greenish hair and she told me it wouldn't be hard . My roots were grown out and I wanted them re done and I made it clear in writing that i wanted my roots done . I let her know that I'm okay with bleaching my hair to get my desired results because I wanted my hair lighter . She was so nice she told me she would even make me a conditioner for my hair I can take home . Guess what happen when I went to her . She told me she wasn't gonna use bleach which was weird but I trusted her and she told me she was gonna dye my roots a dark blue which I never wanted but still , I trusted the process plus I'm already here . Rosa started changing things about what I wanted when I got there but I was sure with what I wanted through text . If she wasn't gonna do my roots and not make my hair lighter , she could've let me know before hand but she had to wait til I got there . After we were done , my hair wasn't blue( it was grey ish blue ) and she kept trying to convince me it was the blue I wanted and I was polite so I nodded away but my roots were also black still. The only thing that was dark blue was my scalp which she didn't wash well . Oh yes and the conditioner she made me , apparently it's not free and thank god I asked her because it was 50 bucks . I don't know about you but I'm not the type of person to spend 50 on a conditioner. When I said no thanks she kept trying to tell me how my hair will turn green and all um yeah it'll turn green ma'am because you never dyed it blue in the first place . Let's also not forget about the fact that she kept insulting my haircut which had nothing to do with my hair dye . She took pictures of my results and kept saying photos don't do it justice and started editing the photos because of that . So this tells you to not believe all the pics you see in her portfolio. I paid almost 300 bucks for my hair to look almost the exact same as when I came in and my roots were basically undone . My hair was not vibrant at all , it was darker and grey and dull because she didn't use bleach . I just hate when hairdressers promise you a result that they can't just for money and try to sell you products on top of that . I've been screwed over by another hairdresser before . She felt bad and charged me less at least but I still stopped her but no Rosa didn't do any of that ( which I didn't expect ) because somewhere in her head my hair was "sooooo blue ". I'm still a high schooler and I been saving up for this and went to a trusted person . What I will say is , if you'd like to go to a cheerful person who does good balayage and highlights , she's the one for you . I'm just not her demographic unfortunately. I should've definitely been more stern about what I wanted and let her know but she acted like she knew everything so I didn't question . I still tipped her on top of that because I don't have anything against her but yes this experience ruined my day .

I had a great experience with Melanie. I ended up getting the balayage Groupon. Overall, she is…read moregreat at what she does and is really efficient about it too. I spent 2 hours in her salon chair which is not bad for a balayage session. Her communication from scheduling to booking the appointment was an easy process as well. Melanie has her own salon chair rented in the Salon of Capelli if you happen to get confused. Having balayage done on your hair isn't a simple or cheap thing to do so this Groupon helps to cover the balayage portion. Also people have to realize that you have to be realistic with the outcome of 1 session of balayage. I only told Melanie that I wanted to have my hair lighten up as much as it could go and she achieved that very well in that 1 session. There would be an additional charge for the length/density of your hair and also how the status of your hair looks. She did ask to send pictures of my current hair to determine this length/density. My hair is about mid-shoulder length so Melanie told me there would be an additional $25-$30 charge. Other services that she offered were a haircut ($30) and toner ($25). These additional services are only discounted if you have other services done too (e.g. balayage). You'll have to discuss it with her for more exact pricing but this was the pricing that I had. Overall, I ended up getting charged for my length/density and toner, which I also knew I needed so I did not hesitate on her suggestion. I would definitely love to come back to Melanie for future hair things like this! Thanks for a great experience!
