This is long overdue, but I had to upload all of the lovely photos color motion sent me to iCloud so I could post my favorites here so all you lovely people could see them!! I will start with the photo booth TOP NOTCH!! Anthony made sure that everyone got copies of pictures and arrived with many fun props in tow. Nobody felt like they were rushed and the photo booth being open was great, lighting was perfect and everyone had a nice time. They also sent me digital copies full size and of our strips within about a week of the wedding. I thought that was amazing, and all of them look awesome! Dj services! These guys have a one stop shop, so for our reception they had up lighting, photo booth and dj all at an affordable cost including emcee services. He kept everything running on time! This is another area where these guys wowed our guests. For music, you want it, he's got it. They even played some metal (for me and my brothers in law) and we very much appreciated that. We hired Color Motion Studios for DJ/MC/lighting and photobooth for our wedding reception last week. Anthony was highly recommended to us by our coordinator, and he and his team delivered. If you are looking for a DJ/MC/photobooth package for your wedding, do yourself a favor and hire them! We had a blast! Throughout the planning process, Anthony was very responsive and flexible even with our last minute changes and requests. The day of, he and James (MC) did an amazing job with the music, program and with the surprise numbers and changes that my family threw at them. My husband and I are super picky about music, and we were so impressed with the music Anthony played. (We wanted ambient EDM at dinner to reflect our music preferences, and party HipHop/club style music for dancing). He worked with a short list of genres, artists and delivered exactly what we wanted. Our guests danced all night, there was never really a time when the dance floor was empty. They did a great job of observing what people were into, amping up the crowd, and bringing people out of their seats. I've been to a lot of weddings where the DJ/MC was just ok, so I was super nervous, but Anthony and James exceeded our expectations! Even our family was super impressed (and they can be a tough crowd LOL). On the photobooth side, the photos came out great and everyone had a great time with props. Morales cousin pictures [= There was about 18 of us so you can imagine the challenge of getting everything set up as far as getting all 18 of us in a picture at once & also dealing with about 8 different sibling pictures who wanted different backgrounds. You have a headache thinking of it too, huh? I am so sad that I forgot our photographers name because he was AWESOME! He was very patient & very detail-oriented. He took the time to make sure that our hair looked right when he took his test shots. Color Motion Studios was highly recommended to me by a good friend and I'm glad she did! From the start Mary Jane and Anthony gave me awesome ideas on how to make the wedding flow much smoother and those ideas were put into good use. I hired them for DJ/MC/lighting and photo booth service for my wedding for 10/26/19. They did them all for a great price! The day before my wedding I was getting text messages from PG&E and a phone call from my venue that PG&E may shut the power in the area. Though my venue has generators for the lighting and food, they said my DJ would need to bring his own. I texted Anthony right away and he was quick to respond saying not to worry and he will find a generator. Which he did! The night went on smoothly! Lighting looked amazing! Excellent Service, Professional & Friendly workers and their work speaks for itself. They do everything from invitations, programs, weddings, cotillions, baptism, whatever occassion....Color Motion does it all. The prices are very reasonable and is located near Target (perfect to kill time while waiting for your pics). I think if I lived in a different area, I'd still come here, this place is worth the trip. I've been coming to Color Motion and had my son's pictures taken here ever since he was born. I remember Stacy taking his pictures in his early mths. Great photographer, she made the session go smooth and made it comfortable for me and my son. She took some great shots and then it was too hard to figure out the ones I liked. Oh man, i guess I'll take em all!! Another awesome photographer is Todd, he recently took my son's 11mth old pix and they all turned out great, even he's crying ones..hehe. He seems to really enjoy his work and a easy going artist. Absoultly do NOT USE THIS business. I was given a gift card for this place $50 to be exact. When I went to redeem, I found out that they closed there studio location and only do "ON Location Shoots" not studio portraits. Woomp Woomp...So i still have the gift card and wanted pictures of my baby taken. I tried contacting them via phone=no luck, email=no luck, FB=bingo. I addressed the situation and asked what could be done. these were the options/responses via FB PM 1)Hi Elaina, we can give you print credit for any past sessions you may have taken. I responded i had never had a session so...then... 2)I'm sorry we don't offer portrait sessions anymore. The only other way to use it would be for school or sports pictures. If we service your school or kids sports team you could use it for that. I responded that the school uses life touch for there pictures and asked for a refund..Or option 2 for them to directly Pay the gift card price $50 to the studio i found(I'm not trying to just get $$ i want pictures)...didnt respond..until...I told FB on them and i got this....LOVELY customer friendly response: 3We can offer you an in-home portrait session. We charge $150 for the 20-30 minute session so you would just have to pay an additional $100. This is just our session fee, we then upload all your images online and you then purchase your prints from there. You will have about 10-30 images to choose from. Yeah so there resolution to redeem $50 was to sign up a school or sports team to hire them or i come out of pocket $100 with no actual prints...UMMM noooo they are not looking to make extra $$$ off a service they never provided....right...Again applause to you Color Motion Studios...for taking money from a baby that was in the hospital most of her life....Well YELP there you have it. read more

My family and I have been taking our family pictures at Color Motion since this business started. Our pictures always come out AWESOME, which makes it difficult to choose which pictures to purchase. My family took Xmas pictures a few years back. There were eight grandchildren that ranged from the ages of 12 - 2 years old. Mary Jane and Anthony were very patient with the children, took their time positioning the kids and pulled out their bag of tricks to get the little ones attention. The pictures came out AWESOME! Just recently my daughter and I took pictures in our Tahitian costumes. Mary Jane was our photographer. She made sure our hair wasn't in our face, the costumes were laying right and not bunched up, our arms and/or legs were angled right, etc.I like how she pays attention to detail. Again, AWESOME pictures! The workers at the front desk are very friendly and helpful. Good customer service and great atmosphere. This is the only studio I would take my family to and recommend. I have been going to color motion studios since 2002 when me and my husband were dating. They took our dating pictures, wedding pictures, pregnancy pictures, and family pictures. The staff is GREAT AND FUN TO work with, I recommend everyone one I know and come across. It feels good to know when your walking around town and perfect strangers come up to me and my husband and recognize our photos that they have in there shop and in there window and say how lovely i look or how good our family looks. It actually nice to know there is a decent and reasonably priced studio in Vallejo. They are not rude, pushy, or not good at what they do. The owners are great and family based they are experienced and past it down to there staff,just because of the name change the QUALITY didn't!!! I like it better when you take a ton of pictures and build your package off of that rather then pick a package then purchase it before u even take your pics. i notice the service has gone down the last few years. Last year our yearbook wasn't delivered until 2 days before the end of the year. This year they said it will be ready on June 7th, then July 30th, then July 31st, then August 20th, then August 21st and it may finally be ready on August 22nd. And they lost information we gave them in January. The yearbook comes out good, but it could be better. I would NOT recommend this for yearbooks. read more

My family and I LOVE taking our pictures here! The pictures always come out amazing. The staff is very professional and know what they're doing! We have had our family of 6 take pictures here a few years ago and they did an awesome job getting all our little ones to smile and look at the camera! That wasn't easy but they managed to do it with 4 kids, three of them under 5yrs old....Our photographer had to call a second staff member to hop around with props and make funny noises... they'll do what they gotta do for a great shot! Their new location on 1st street in Benicia is perfect spot because there are so many shops, restaurants, cafes, etc... to visit while waiting on your pictures. And right accross the street is a beautiful view of the water! We've had our three little ones take their christening pictures here along with their invitations and thank you magnets too. All I can say is they're AWESOME! We hired these guys for our company party of about 500 people for their DJ and Photo Booth. I met with Anthony and we went over all the details of what we expected and they delivered 110% on the day of our party! He was very professional and we always had an open line of communications. They even showed up early on the day of and had everything ready an hour before our event was to start. They lit up the ballroom to my favorite color (purple). I was a little worried about the sound because the DJ last year (found on groupme) had a horrible sound system and we had a hard time making announcements. But let me tell you, this year it was perfect, we were able to make our announcements loud and clear and when the dancing started I felt like I was in a night club!!! Loved the mix of music, they played a little something for everyone and the dance floor packed all night!!! They're Photo Booth was also awesome with the custom prints and an actual photographer taking our pics and all the fun crazy props! We were able to take big group/department pics and their beautiful workers were so helpful! We had them working non-stop all night long and they were all still smiling at the end of the night! I had a great experience at the studio. We were getting pictures done for my son's baptism invitation card and a family holiday portrait. The photographer was able to get my infant son to smile and look at the camera, which is no small feat. They were patient with him and got a lot great shots. My wife took our two year old here to have some Christmas pictures taken after a horrific experience with a chain photography studio in the Sun Valley Mall. The differences between the two businesses leave me without an adequate vocabulary to describe them. Color Motion is simply light years ahead of the so-called "Picture People." The photographer was patient and attentive. The studio was spacious and private. The staff actually acted as if they wanted to serve us and sell us their products and the cost of the photographs was actually slightly less. I have been going to Color Motion Studios for 6 years for all my photos and I loved how all my photos came out but over the past 2 years or so I haven't been very impressed with my photos... Prices have gone up since they moved to Benicia... I took my daughter there every month to take pictures from the time she was born until she was 1 and then every 6 months after that... I loved the photographer Jill she was great enthusiastic and worked well with kids and with my family taking photos she has now left and thee photographers now just don't seem to know how to pose or get the right shots or know how to make my kids smile... Im sad to say that since Jill has left i might be parting ways with color motion studios the price im paying and the outcome of my photos are not making me happy read more
