1000% recommend Ed Pingol to do the photography for your next event! I'm so lucky that he had a slot open with only a few months notice. This guy is usually booked out way in advance! Ed had done several of my friends' wedding photography in the past and it was just serendipitous that he came full circle to do mine. He is the best after all! He is super professional and easy to work with- he made all of us feel like family during the shoot. He is also very experienced and knowledgeable about photography at City Hall. He advised us to come early and had really nice angles and locations for the best lighting/photos for us and our families/friends inside and outside. Amidst his super busy schedule, Ed was kind enough to send a sneak peek of our wedding photos so I can send out a holiday/just married card. We can't thank Ed enough for the stunning photos he took at our wedding and we are so excited to see the rest of the photos! read more

We had an AMAZING experience with Ed. Long story short, back in November 2022, I was having issues trying to book a photographer. A friend from high school DM'd me a few photos of from his wedding and told me to reach out to Ed. Immediately, I was drawn to his work and reached out. After about an hour conversation with Ed, I knew our vibes were a perfect fit! WE NEEDED ED TO BE OUR PHOTOGRAPHER! I don't think I've ever signed a contract so fast in my life. I raved to my fiancé (husband now) about how much we needed him and got his approval. We locked Ed in within 24 hours. The process with Ed was so smooth. Anytime I had questions, he got back to me with answers. Any suggestions he gave me, I went with them! For example, he suggested my solo shots before my first look. He had mentioned that first looks tend to be emotional and that I may cry. He was right! Fast forward to the afternoon of our wedding day, July 28th at Hakone Gardens in Saratoga. We didn't have detail shots (rings, getting dressed, etc) since it really isn't our thing but he is good at them! I've seen his work with other couples. The entire thing just flew by. Solos, first look, ceremony, family photos, wedding party photos, cocktail hour, grand entrance, first dance, speeches, dinner, table photos, sunset photos, cake, games, night shoot, dessert, and last dance. Ed was literally by our side the entire way and I don't think we could have asked for anyone else. It's like we had a BEST FRIEND with us the whole ride! Ed is great with everyone! You know how sometimes we have those wedding guests that are just too much? He handled those guests so well. He just has a way with people... incredibly likeable! A lot of our guests bring up Ed until this day. We even have engaged couples asking for his contact information and we happily shared! In general, I've always felt awkward taking photos and Ed was great at making me comfortable and there was just so much laughter. He knew exactly how to capture US in every photo. He is also so good at his craft! The night shoot was on a whim! Ed said he had a vision and we let him do his thing! The next morning, he sent us some teaser pics and.... i was speechless! Those night shots were AMAZING! I want to blow up and hang every single one on my wall! We are already talking about hiring Ed again for our 10 year anniversary! THIS is how much we LOVE ED! Can you tell we're obsessed ? :) read more

Amazing job on my mini engagement photos omgggggg beautiful job thank you thank you again you made our photo shoot memorable thank you!!!

My Fiance contacted Ed Pingol to capture our proposal. My fiance said Ed was so responsive and easy to work with in planning the whole surprise with Stag's Leap Wine Cellars for months. I am all about capturing every moment and love candid shots; Ed captured all that plus more! After the proposal, Ed took pictures of us around the lake and different areas of the winery. He took his time with us, made sure he had multiple shots and was just so friendly. Should I add, Funny! Very easy going and made us feel really comfortable the whole time. I am so grateful to have this special moment captured and have something to look back to. :) read more

Ed was our photographer for our wedding and engagement photos. Not only did we love his photos, we loved how he made us feel natural. My husband is really shy, but he was able to make him comfortable and natural in our photos. He also recommended beautiful private areas to take photos so that we could be comfortable. Ed traveled from the bay to LA for my wedding. The week of my wedding I found out there was going to be a storm on the grape vine and literally everywhere. I had so much anxiety but Ed reassured me that he will be there. It gave me so relief. 10 hours of driving didn't stop him. We received a sneak peak of our wedding photos a week after the wedding and they are stunning. Ed also worked so well with our videographers and was quick to set up where to take photos. He's is also quick at explaining how to pose, how many photos were taking, etc. No question you know he has so much experience. Highly recommend, he really helped me feel less stressed on my wedding day. read more

This review is well OVERDUE! My apologies to Ed, I never meant to let it go this long. We met Ed back in late 2015 & on a whim, I emailed him to see if he was available for our 10 year vow renewal in May 2016. In my head, I was ready for disappointment because I know he's booked out for at least the next year & would definitely be booked right in the middle of wedding season. Low & behold, he was available! My heart sang & I was super ecstatic to know we were going to have the best photographer for our event. Ed is super fun to be around & he really knows how to get everyone to give their natural smile. Fast forward to 2022 -- We have since seen Ed every year for our annual holiday/family pictures. We even saw him for our daughter's 8th grade graduation pictures after he heard the school wasn't doing them (COVID times). I can't believe it's been 6 years! He is literally the greatest & his passion for photography really shines through. I love that we can have these memories for a lifetime. read more

Ed has such a creative edge while taking photos.. he uses his engineering background and passion for photography to help him calculate the best camera settings & lightening angles to get these amazing shots. He is a truly talented man! Ed, thank you so much for capturing these special moments, in addition to us remembering all the laughter behind each shot :) you are a legend!! read more

10/10 would work with again! Photos turned out legendary, he delivered the pics on a Monday when he promised Friday and the best part was he was amazing with our 7 and 4 year old. We never get them to smile or participate, but Ed had so many tricks that they actually enjoyed the shoot! + points for an easy way of viewing, managing and downloading the photos Cant wait for the next shoot! read more

A wonderful shoutout to Ed Pingol Photography for this amazing work capturing our family dynamic. 2020 has been a challenging year for all of us. We're a busy family. My babygirl wanted the best photographer she could find for our engagement and wedding photos That's why she chose Ed Pingol. She searched far and wide for a wedding photographer that met our vision for the wedding. Mr. Pingol was that guy. I'm sure there's plenty of photographers out there with a similar talent level at this price range. What sets Ed apart is his personability. He helps you feel at ease from the very start. This translates into a photo session that moves along much more naturally. Almost as if you and a friend were taking selfies. During our engagement photos, it was raining and yet he still managed to pull off some great shots. Also since this was my first time meeting him, I wasn't sure how to go about being in front of the camera. He has a great eye and knows how to get you into the right pose to create the perfect shot. When it came time for the wedding day photos, Ed was there along with his assistant photog. Ed's personality must be infectious because his buddy was just as personable as Ed is. Hanging out with him felt like he was just another member of the wedding party, and not a vendor at all. That I'm sure helped ease the wedding day jitters and ensure the photos came out looking as best as possible. After seeing the finished product, I can say that they are nothing short of spectacular. If he can make my unphotogenic ass look as good as he did, then he has some real serious talent going on. These photos will be a treasure that we will be able to look back at for the rest of our lives. Even when we're old 'n gray, we'll be able to say we looked hot at least once upon a time. Thanks Ed for helping to make our wedding day special. read more

Ed Pingol Photography - One of many fun shots that we got from our wedding day photos with Mr. Ed Pingol. - Photographers Near Me

My experience with Ed Pingol photography has been nothing short of 5 stars. He works well with children, at least to get them to look at the camera. His eye for scenery and making you look like the best you is flawless. This is the best photographer in the Bay area hands down! I don't know what "Abigail N." is talking about with her post .This is inconsistent with Ed Pingol Photography as a business. She must have been talking about another business when she wrote that. read more

Ed was a true pleasure to work with! He's funny & outgoing. He was also great in showing my fiancé and I how to pose. Ed shot our Engagement photos, which EVERYONE loved!! Our package came with 2 locations but he squeezed in a 3rd location for us. We were really particular about the places we wanted and he captured exactly what we envisioned. Our photos received over 35 comments on his website and Ed offered us a free enlargement. We have yet to pick it out, as we've been super busy with planning our wedding, but we'll be sure to contact Ed soon. read more

When was Yelp started? Probably after our wedding. I have gray hairs now. Probably from my two young kids. This review is overdue from eons ago, when EP was still in its infancy. But I bet his skills are even better today. In fact, I know so. We still look at his pics from recent weddings and his use of light is amazing. We even give him partial credit for our starting our own fledging wedding design business. I taught myself photography, and while I got decently good at it, doing wedding was and is super stressful. A testament to EP and his team for continuing to do awesome work, even under stressful situations. This is what I tell clients. EP does cost a pretty penny. But personally, photography is the one item that shouldn't be skimped for a wedding. We've looked at our pictures many times, but I can count on one hand (2 fingers actually), where we actually sat down and watched our video. So skimp on the video but not the pics. Rock on Ed and Monica! -KP read more

Best family photographer! Ed has been doing our holiday portraits for the past 5 years. He's great with our son who has special needs. He's also great with our daughter. Highly recommend Ed Pingol Photography! read more

Ed and his crew were consummate professionals during our wedding. Our ceremony was only 30 minutes long, yet he captured all of the most special moments perfectly. A post ceremony photo session can be stressful and difficult, especially the group shots, but Ed has his craft down. He is friendly, funny, knows how to get everyone looking good in the shot, and can even get crying babies to smile for the photos! Ed first shot our Engagement Photos. The photos and experience blew us away, so we were excited to also have him shoot our wedding. There were so many great photos from both events that choosing our favorites becomes a daunting task. Ed makes taking photos fun and relaxing instead of being stressful and tiring. He is always our #1 recommended photographer. Absolute zero regrets choosing Ed Pingol Photography! read more

This man is a genius!! I love his pictures!! I don't know what he does to his camera, but he gets awesome lighting and effects! He did our engagement pics and I was more than happy with them. What I like about his pictures are that they are very modern. I wanted nothing traditional in the pictures. He is totally fun to work with and hilarious. If you get the chance to work with him, you'll totally die from laughter. He is also very professional. I highly recommend him. read more

You won't find a better photographer than Ed anywhere else I guarantee it! My now hubby and I were looking for someone to take our engagement and wedding pictures when we came across Ed =) From the very first time we met we just loved him. He's very outgoing, charismatic, creative and he'll definitely make you smile! Our engagement session was so much fun, and the pictures came out great! We were both very pleased with his work. Then the wedding day came. He arrived at the hotel where I was getting ready just as scheduled. Our entire bridal party and family loved him! He made everything so easy. After a couple of weeks we got to see a few of the pictures, and once again they looked fabulous. We couldn't have asked for a better photographer. Thanks Ed for making our wedding day memories look incredible! read more

Wow my last review was 10 years ago and it still stands up to this day. Ed continues to be our main family photographer for every life milestones. He is our first person we look towards to reaching out to capture our stages. There's just one thing with him you can count on: dependability. You know he's going to show up, go straight to work, perform, and return back with quality, creative, amazing photos you'll love forever. He will also make sure that you're posed that best flatters your body type and in the best light. And I have to also commend his customer service. You'll feel at home with this guy from the get. Thanks Ed and Monica for your help every year! Love that you guys became family to us. read more

The photos Ed took of my daughter, who's a dancer, are first rate. He simply has an eye for great angles and lighting. On top of that, he's just fun. I've tagged along on a few photo shoots with my daughter, and this was the most lively one. If you want dramatic, impressive and creative dancer photos, you can't go wrong with Ed. And the turnaround for the photos was quick despite his packed schedule! We're so happy with his work and service and can't recommend him enough. read more

I have always seen Ed's great work from friends' pictures or in social media. I decided to finally book him to take our family holiday photos this year. For almost 10 years now, my family and I have had the pleasure with working with Ed (and Monica) capturing the most beautiful moments of our lives. From our wedding engagement session, to our wedding, to our church vow renewal, 8 annual holiday mini sessions, and my eldest daughter's college graduation photos - Ed has captured it all for us, so beautifully and with such professionalism and fun! Monica excels at the administrative side of the business and is always so helpful, attentive, and professional in her communications. As long as Ed will have us, we will continue to go to him for all of our photography needs.. Thank you, Ed! You ROCK! read more

I would give Ed 10 stars out of 5 if it were possible. We were blessed to have Ed photograph our engagement session and recent wedding. He is not only incredibly experienced and professional, but he is also a true artist. Our wedding was only on Saturday (3/26), and by Monday (3/28), he had already sent us a ton of sneak peak pictures (I honestly wasn't expecting these for weeks! I have friends who told me that it took their photographers - not Ed - weeks, if not months, to send them any pictures at all). I'm already blown away by how beautifully he captured our wedding. His talent, creativity and vision are bar none. I was also impressed by how down to earth and respectful he was to my family and friends during my wedding. If you are lucky enough to get an open slot with him, I would book him asap! read more

Not enough space in this box can describe how amazing this guy's work is. He has been my photographer since 2006. I checked yelp and found "others" doing some sort of clean up to make my review not so believable. Which makes me really regret my decision in booking this business. Mind you the last review before me (3 years)was a few years back then lo and behold good reviews one after the other (about 3 reviews after me) by "people" who really liked their service. Looks like someone doesn't take REAL FEEDBACK easily. But it's all good. I stand with what I said. I just want other people to make the right decision and for businesses to REALLY be professional and do a good job. I also saw that my picture was added after my review. NOW it looks good after the editing it's just unfortunate we did not get it that way. But thank you! read more

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ED PINGOL PHOTOGRAPHY. Ed provided an excellent photo shoot for my family, parents and brothers at the Palace of Fine Arts. Despite scheduling a 1hr session, Ed never rushed us or made us feel pressed for time. He was very patient and kind to all of us, even though my father has health issues that limit his mobility. What I appreciated most was his ability to connect with the entire family (especially my elderly Filipino parents) and make everyone feel comfortable throughout the photo shoot, as if we have known him our entire lives -- he maintained laughter and smiles the entire time. THANK YOU ED for your professionalism and tremendous work. My family and I will certainly call Ed for all future photo shoots, and ensure all other family and friends utilize him as well. read more

My proofs just came in on Friday and I'm stunned! I just couldn't stop looking at the pictures in awe. Even my family can't stop talking about how fantastic the wedding photos turned out. I hate having to give a bad review, but i think not receiving ones full set of photos as stated, almost A YEAR AFTER still, calls for a bad review. I have asked repeatedly through email and facebook. I either got no response or a response stating they'll check and get back to me. As a photographer, he's awesome. Very patient and kind. But a good photographer does me no good if I don't receive the product. I hope I'm just unlucky in timing. Or missed the email link that posted the photos, although I've searched all my inbox folders multiple times. But hope i can still get my newborn photos of my last baby since I can't re-do those forever. :( read more

Being a former photographer who has shot weddings, portraits, events, and everything else in between, I've become very critical and harsh with photography I see these days. Wow - Ed & Jeff take incredibly awesome pictures. These guys are true professionals and their quality work speaks for itself. I recently spent all last Friday w/ them, while they went around w/ us all around SF for my buddy's wedding. They are willing to travel anywhere in the world for their clients. First started at City Hall, then Legion of Honor, followed by the Japanese Tea Gardens in Golden Gate Park, and wrapped up the day at Baker Beach. During the whole time, Ed explained his artistic thought process and why he chose certain angles and shots. Ed and Jeff were never shy to share their work to show the results. They also explained the reasoning for why certain lighting was best for certain shots, and what worked best for others. I was taking pictures w/ my point-and-shoot Canon 870IS, and they had no problems w/ me doing this. Super chill and fun to kick it w/ these guys during the day, never a dull moment. Ed got everyone involved w/ the photos, and he made sure no one was uncomfortable. All the shots were simply amazing. Ed and Jeff are truly artists. These guys only take meaningful photographs, so you won't find them taking photographs in clubs or bars. So, if you're looking for a top-tier photography crew, you should definitely check out these guys. read more

I met Ed at my friend's wedding, which I was a bridesmaid at. Just wanted to comment on how cool and professional Ed and his team are. He's really good at staying upbeat, drawing on your happy places to get the best pics and even demonstrating what he wanted (cutesy poses haha). I don't think he got everyone's name but that was ok - it was a lot of people. He's super professional. And he even threw together a mini slideshow to show the bridal and groomsman party at the reception. Even though he usually charges an extra $1500 for this option. All because he really liked the couple and the party. All the pictures haven't come back yet but what he showed us was really awesome. I can't wait to see what they all look like, touched up and everything. I was shocked to hear how expensive he really is. Hopefully it's worth it. read more

Tell me why ...oh why...were you booked over a year before my wedding date!!! Booo! :( I searched over 200 photographers websites for our future wedding photographer and ed pingol came in the top 5. He is more on the pricier side of photographers, but you only get married once, so you have to choose a good photographer! I really love his pictures and lighting. I love how his pictures can also look like art. My fiance and I have scheduled an engagement session and aftershoot session for him to take pictures. I love how he does post processing on his pictures as well. I keep asking him from time to time if our date has freed up yet. :) If it does, I would surely book him as well. I agree to all of these wonderful reviews. Ed is by far the best photographer! When Ronald and I got engaged first thing I searched for is to see if he was available for our wedding day, luckily he was! So scheduled a consultation right away with Monica scheduled us promptly and was very helpful with all the questions we had in business aspect of it. During the consultation, we didn't know what to expect, ( we were actually a little nervous) Ed made us feel welcomed, very pleasant, funny and real down to earth! After the consultation, Ron and I knew no matter what we are going to have to hire him so we did and was very grateful and honored to have him photograph our engagement and wedding day! On our engagement session, he showed up early, scoped the area and of course time to photograph! He took over the session, posed us together, made us laughed, and got us to comfortably posed for the camera. Got our engagement photos back and they turned out AMAZING!!! oh man Ed's ability to capture light etc..,his talent, creativity, passion and of course his imagination is pretty cool! We are so excited and can't wait until he photographs our wedding day! read more

Updated after wedding review... I cannot believe next month, it's going to be a year since we got married (8/14)! Time flew by super fast and I regret not posting this review earlier! However, I did want to wait till we got the final product to give a through review. Ed Pingol is fantastic. I think I'm having withdrawal because I'm already even thinking about taking family portraits with him, that is when/after we start a family! He's just that awesome. Communication, execution and final products were outstanding. Monica, his wife and studio manager, was always super friendly, nice, attentive and informative when communicating through emails! They were always so helpful and great! During the day of the wedding, Ed Pingol, Ed and Hamilton, were so fantastic and professional! Ed is always fun to work with!! And, everything ran so smoothly! A week after our wedding we got photo teasers (which we breathtaking), this enabled us to share photos on Facebook with friends and family. Three months after the wedding, we got a dvd of all the wedding photos and our wedding gallery was up and we were able to pick out photos for our album. Due to the holidays it took us about two months to pick out photos for our album. A month later the draft spreads, which were amazing, were ready for us to review and to change if necessary. Three months later I asked for an update and their vendor in Italy was experiencing some delays, therefore our album was then delivered five weeks later. Our album is GORGEOUS!!! We are extremely happy with it! We highly recommend him and if you have the funds, go all out with all of Ed's extras because you will get your money's worth!...Ed, thank you and your fabulous crew, for all that you've done for Romel and me. God answered my prayers when we asked for you to be our photographer. We are truly blessed! Hope this review helps brides to be! Happy planning! =) read more

We love photography and we wanted to make sure that we chose the best photographer for our wedding. Well, that's when we found the "Photographer of the Century," Ed Pingol of Ed Pingol Photography. Just take a look at his photos, they basically speak for themselves. Not only are his photos awesome, but Ed is awesome as well. He is a very down to earth and humble person. He was very nice throughout the whole process, i.e. consultation, engagement shoot, and even on the day of the wedding. On the day of the wedding, he and his team were able to capture the whole day.
