One of the favorite moments of the night was a bunch of my friends getting in a huge pile on the floor, and then looking up to see Amari right there snapping a picture, and everyone smiling for him. It was already a glorious moment, but when we realized we were being photographed, it extended the feeling exponentially. I should add that they're a breeze to work with. I interviewed several photographers before I found them, and ran into weird difficulties regarding the terms of the contracts. I didn't have unusual demands, but my parents are both lawyers and a little picky about those things. Madelynn and Amari were so refreshing in this regard. My parents found one small thing in the contract they wanted to change the wording on. Madelynn & Amari's response? "What a great suggestion, we'll build that into all our future contracts!" Then you can pay an additional $1000 for your pictures which you get about 40 shots. Really? No CD or release form. You pay $500.00 deposit and he cashes and keeps it right away. My parents signed the contract and in less than 24 hours requested to cancel the service. They did not get their refund. $500.00 for no service? or for 5 hours and 40 pictures, you can pay $2500. Take the $500.00 loss and make sure to warn future customers. For $2600 you can get a photo crew, videographer, photo album, digital cd /release and more! Shop around and get referrals!

Her prices are very reasonable compared to industry averages (though I find the industry averages too expensive for the average person and I do regret spending as much money as we did). If I'm being completely honest though...and at the risk of sounding picky/unreasonable/mean (?...I really am not intending to be), we were not as content as some of her other customers. There were several shots that were just repetitive/the same shot with slight change in movement. There were several shots where some of the people in the photos had their face/body protruding...a simple nudge/tip to the people to tilt their head down/to lean slightly forward would've helped) There were several shots where some people were not looking at the camera (again, a simple nudge/tip to direct people to look at the camera would've helped). Maybe it's just that we are especially unphotogenic and needed more direction than even what Anna usually provides. I honestly hate 50% of the photos we were given back. Lastly, it seemed like we were a forgotten customer/second thought at times...there were things we had to ask for that were said to be included in Anna's services (I don't want to get into the details)...I do wonder if we hadn't asked, if they would've just been forgotten. (I feel like there's pressure to continue with the 5 star reviews given that that's all there's been, but I just can't).
