In fact, he wanted to take us through a series of educational visits so we could get a sense of what East Coast homes are like (old and new, colonial,...). Great idea when dealing with a California family like us. Some of the things you would like about Greg: - Won't push you to buy - Won't try to make you use his contacts for repair et cetera - Willing to say, "don't buy this" and otherwise have an opinion - Great eye for "lipstick on a pig" home repair - Very willing to go to open houses with you - Great with kids, which is key when you are logging your offspring around to the 20th house visit that week - Genuinly friendly. Unfortunately, my husband and I found him to be too laid back for the process and in the end quite unprofessional and rude. Here are a few things that happened during the sale of our house that we were disappointed in: 1. At first he refused and then one month in reluctantly agreed to have a broker's open house (common practice in the small town we were selling in). This has the unintended effect of alienating many local brokers. 2. At our second Open House he misplaced/forgot the listing sheets. There were no listing sheets at the Open House. 3. He never once called us after an Open House to report how it went. Instead we had to call him. He always seemed annoyed that we were calling. 4. Two times he told us an offer was coming in then we didn't hear from him for 3+ days. We were on the edge of our seats for days. When we finally called to ask about the offers he again seemed annoyed and didn't have any more information other than: They aren't putting in an offer. We wanted feedback but he didn't have any. 5. Once we had an offer he gave us the wrong information in regards to Title V, causing us to lose $500. 6. Both ourselves and the seller were ready to close 10 days early. We asked him 3+ times to contact the seller and to confirm an early closing. He forgot to. We were paying $200/day in interest on our mortgage. This cost us $1200. I was ready to let all of this go until a few days before the closing when he forwarded an email to us from the seller telling us that they their mortgage may not come through. When I called him with follow up questions, he was extremely rude. He answered the phone with the words "What do you want?" and then when I asked if the seller had passed their mortgage commitment deadline (which would have told me if they were really trying to back out) his answer was "You have the p and s, look it up yourself." I then called his business partner (great guy) and asked for help figuring out what was going on with the sellers and their mortgage he told me that Greg was fighting with his father that day and that was why he was so rude to me. I expected an apology or at least a follow up at some point in the next few days. It never came. Greg didn't even show up for the closing.

We used Jeff Nelson from Bank of America, Jeff Shargel's law office, and Matt Davison for the homeowner's insurance. All were excellent. - Lisa will email you listings of what you want, schedule showings, and give you open house notifications too. We saw a ton of properties in many towns -- Lisa does a lot of legwork. She even picked us up at the train station once when our car broke down. She goes ABOVE AND BEYOND! - Lisa is organized, fights for you, and is always your advocate. Long story short: she was everything and more! She took us all over the city and surrounding towns to search for the perfect home. Every weekend she updated us with open houses, checked in with us often and when we did attend showings together, she knew just what to ask the seller's agent. She remembered what we both specifically looked for in a home and went out of her way to find that. She was always available and responsive to calls or emails. Lisa is not only a wonderful person, full of energy and so friendly, she is extremely adept at negotiating with sellers agents and hooking us up to excellent lenders and attorney. We felt she was really looking out for us every step of the way, and count her as a friend! This was all because she wanted to get a check from me that Saturday and couldn't wait til Monday when I was both available and the banks would be open. I think she may be an addict of some kind based on that behavior. On top of that she was just rude and did not want to lift a finger. I am paying this person thousands of dollars to essentially just be a paperwork middleman, and I told her that I need specific language in my lease saying I can have a dog (the landlord agreed to this verbally so I just wanted it in writing). She just straight up told me she didn't want to do that because it was too much work. I'm sorry I asked you to do a teeny tiny amount of work for your insane paycheck Andrea. I definitely will never be coming to you again!
