For months, I made repeated phone calls, left multiple voicemails, and sent multiple emails, and I still could not get a timely response. From the start, I felt ignored and dismissed, and that set the tone for everything that followed. After I signed the lease, I expected things to improve, but they did not. I was given no notice that the garage would be paved, and I moved in with a U-Haul full of furniture only to find the garage closed, and the area congested with cars along the one-way. For weeks, I was stuck parking outside in the elements on a narrow street while still paying for two garage spots and expensive monthly parking fees on top of high rent. That was a frustrating way to start living somewhere that is supposed to be a luxury apartment community. On move-in day, my apartment was not even cleaned yet. The floors were dirty, and there was still leftover material from what appeared to be a previous tenant. I was forced to leave my furniture, clothes, and other belongings in the hallway until the apartment was cleaned. That was an unacceptable way to begin living there. I also personally dealt with the smoking policy not being enforced. I regularly smelled weed in the building, and there were times when the fire alarm went off late at night and in the early morning hours. In my experience, the alarms were not shut off until the fire department arrived. An email notice went out, but I did not see any real enforcement after that. I also found mold on the dryer when I moved in, which I had to clean myself, and that should not be something a resident has to handle in an expensive apartment. The walls were very thin, so walking and stomping from the apartment above could clearly be heard. Pet waste was also regularly found outside, and notices seemed to go out without much actual follow-through. The maintenance staff was the one positive part of my experience because they were quick and helpful. Other than that, I would not live here again. After moving out, I was transferred to a manager about my security deposit, but I still did not get a returned call or voicemail back. I never received clear communication about my deposit, and even now I am still being ignored.

Although they do not offer as many shared amenities as other locations, the apartments are well-fitted with modern accommodations, including washer/dryer and premium kitchen appliances. Rent prices are comparably affordable for the area. With regard to service, they have been exemplary in my experience. Specifically, they were gracious and understanding of my situation when a family member was ill and I had to be away for an extended period of time. The other tenants are thoughtful, kind, and sincere, and everyone who works there is exactly the same! The place is quiet--almost a sanctuary!--and it is such a beautiful place to rest at night. I was never concerned about my safety there, and we were on the first floor! There is a mail room, and never once was there an issue with not receiving my mail or packages. It is clean and beautifully maintained, and the people who work there are professional, efficient, and as kind as kind can be! They are thoughtful, accommodating, and absolutely helpful at all times! Heat and hot water are included, and they keep the place warm and very comfortable. We also had two new air conditioners in our walls, they cooled the apartment perfectly in the summer. The water is hot, and the apartment is spacious with excellent cross ventilation. I would give this place 100 stars if it were permitted! The washers and dryers are in a room next to the elevator, and it was there that I met so many nice people from other floors. Everyone, and I mean everyone was considerate. During that time, we repeatedly had to empty our cabinets and move furniture to prepare for treatments. Unfortunately, after only a couple of visits, the pest control technician stopped coming. When I asked the leasing office why the treatments had stopped, I was told the technician believed the treatment was not working because we were using other products to kill the cockroaches. I later spoke with other residents who said they had been given the same explanation. Because the infestation continued, I contacted the Malden Board of Health. An inspector came to inspect the apartment, but I left feeling that the underlying issues in the building were not going to be resolved. Based on my experience, management was friendly during the leasing process, but I found them much less responsive after I moved in and reported ongoing problems. If pest control, cleanliness, and maintenance are important to you, I recommend carefully considering these issues before choosing to live here.

I submit multiple maintenance requests about it, and the pest control person has come in a few times but it never gets fixed and the mice run every where, but originate from the bedroom. The complex is nice and quiet, but I don't sleep well because I hate mice and I can hear them all night long- squeaking, scratching, gnawing, rustling around. I can't wait to leave so I can sleep again. And finally, there are a lot of amenities here. And I understand that there are also a lot of people here, but the rules and regulations for said amenities kind of take all the fun out of using them. Be prepared to be nickel and dimed to death since management slips in charges everywhere. Even when you pay for parking, they will try to double charge after a few months. Renter beware. My lease cannot end soon enough for me.

I have heard people talking going in and out of the main entrance but I can tell you in all my times going in and out of multiple entrances, and being able to see the main entrance from my windows, I have never seen people hanging around outside let alone anyone that was using drugs or appeared to be stoned.

This is a dog friendly building (about 80%) & to coral dogs who are leashed in a stairwell is extremely dangerous to other dogs and people alike. As other have said, if you are handicapped, this building was not designed fir you. The only side of the building that has a wheelchair ramp has a front door that pulls open & immediately snaps closed, only to be greeted with another door that does the same. Cold water runs warm & hot water takes several minutes to reach the taps. so here's a brief list of failures for this place.... Elevator is constantly broken using the stairs is exacerbating a heart condition Out of the year we have been here the elevator has been out 7 times. No one answers messages in a timely fashion including when someone threwup in the stairwell which has been the only entrance on the maple side of the building. Dog feces all over the property The windows do not open there is no ventilation or air filtration. More than half the building is section 8 Packages left in the main entrance doorway where anyone off the street can take it and where homeless people occasionally sleep. No one works in the office on the weekends so emergencies and mail pile up goes unnoticed. Floor in common room has been half ripped up with loose floor boards for at least 4 months with "caution wet floor signs" Elevator 2 (which is on the maple Street entrance) is always out and with the stairs on that end to get to floor 1 it makes that side not handicap accessible. No true amenities yet super expensive. Soot and brick/wood dust falls daily Hot water takes 10 min to get hot when asked it was because we were on the third floor. Ive stayed in building on the 7th floor with hot water and this is a new development. NRP group has 1.5 rating on BBB Make you pay for parking while kids drive like nascar on the top of the garage. MAC Management had just opened their first furnished apartment and I lucked into being their first customer. The apartment was listed on Craigslist Medford, and the pictures looked nice, but the apartment looked very small. Michael the owner held the apartment for me while I drove across country, which I really appreciated. Upon arrival in Medford, I met Michael at the apartment and he showed it to me. First of all, it is very well located, and only a short walk (4 blocks) to downtown Medford. The building is 150+ years old and very well taken care of and charming. The apartment was much larger than I expected. It was very clean, freshly painted, nicely furnished, with large flat screen TV in the living room, and a smaller flat screen TV in the bedroom. The furniture is new, neutral, and very comfortable. There are 2 brand new air conditioners in the living and bed rooms. The apartment is on the 2nd floor, which I like for security and privacy reasons. There is only street parking, but tons of it. I can almost always park right in front of the building, and if not, I can find a spot on the side street that the apartment overlooks. Being an older building there are several charming quirks, the hardwood floors are gleaming, but a little wonky due to the building settling. It's really noticeable in the entry hall, which I find charming. But the rest of the apartment is quite level. The bath has original looking tile and tub, but the sink, and toilet are brand new. Several of the doors swing open or closed on their own, because of the settling, but again... charming! Nice linens, and plenty of them are provided. The apartment is stocked with all the paper goods you could need. There is no artwork, so it may strike some as bland, but I find it restful. There is a charming built-in in the living room with drawers, a cubbby area, and glass doors. Very original. And the bed was really comfy. So the apartment is just dandy, and I've been really happy here. But even better, Michael the owner has been an absolute prince of a guy, so responsive and helpful. I highly recommend this apartment to any single or couple planning to stay in Medford for a week, to an extended stay. It is way more reasonable than any local hotel, it's in a neighborhood so you'll feel like you live here, and the owner Michael is the best. This place is a real gem!
