This company had our business insurance coverage for nearly 20 years…read more We pulled our personal lines several years ago due to pricing. I should have taken a harder look at the business coverage then. Then Covid hit, and my business was shutdown. No work. No income. Made about half the annual payments. CDF made no visits to my office for over 10 years. They didn't intervene to find savings due to reduced risk with my business being forced to close. Found coverage for 20% off the cost from a small broker in Wenatchee. Go out of Seattle for coverage. Now Liberty Mutual has cheesy law firms calling for payment. Don't do business with L.M. or CDF. CALL small town agencies with good reviews.

This was not due to any fault of mine. It seems the company I was with stopped writing policies for Washington state, but I was NOT NOTIFIED. They said they sent "a postcard," which I did not receive, and i was not contacted by phone or email. I could have been in a major car accident with NO INSURANCE. I am absolutely furious. Obviously, I did not re-up with them and had to pay a lot more to get insurance elsewhere because I had a "policy lapse." This is an incredibly dangerous situation for anyone to fall into because of a crummy company. STAY AWAY.

We have just moved out of state to an area where Michelman is not able to write policies and we are sad that we need to find a new broker. Professional, personable, responsive and more importantly, proactive in looking out for us across our multiple policies. She also provided us with much valued advice over the years! When I first signed up with Jessica Wilson at Ryan…read moreCarlson American Family Insurance, I was told I would receive a discount if I paid my policy in full, which I did using my credit card over the phone. What was not disclosed was that I also needed to have a bank account on file for autopay in order to avoid extra fees. A month later, I received an email saying I still had a balance because of this hidden requirement. This was never communicated upfront, and I only found out after being charged unnecessarily. I have never had an agent do this before. Now I have to spend my own time fixing something that should not have happened in the first place. While the agent said she can remove the fee, the lack of transparency and the hassle it has caused me is unacceptable. I had hoped to be a long-term customer, as I was with my American Family agent back in Minnesota, but after this experience I will be switching agents when my policy is up. Very disappointing and frustrating. I cannot recommend this agency.

Insurance with State Farm is a racket! Somehow even more than insurance itself. I've been with…read moreState Farm 20 plus years and my rates have consistently and drastically increased, regardless of my age, my excellent driving record, how old my vehicle is or any other criteria that should decrease ones rate. Motorcycles don't qualify for their "multi-vehicle discount", which makes absolutely no sense... State Farm also won't allow me to insure my motorcycle for 6 months, as I do with my car. I was told their policy is that motorcycles are insured for a year, even though the vast majority of riders in Washington State don't ride all year round. State Farm knows this but they want money for that full year! I find them to be incredibly greedy. They couldn't care less about their long time policy holders or customer retention.
