I'm still in shock. When I spoke to the owner (I assume), he said my location was convenient because his guys were very nearby. It wasn't like they had to go miles and miles away or it was the middle of the night or a weekend. They didn't have to unclog any drains. Just a few puffs of air. It boggles the mind that a company can charge that kind of money for that amount of time.

The only reason I knew they were there is that I heard them on the roof. I acknowledged the techs but they left without further communication. Following up they indicated they would fabricate a new pan and once complete would return to finish onsite. Now is your chance to respond Batt's. Last communication from Batt's dated May 5th, 2026: Mr. Hammond, I wanted to provide you with a quick update regarding your upcoming chimney work. The project is still moving forward as planned; however, we do need to make a slight adjustment to ensure everything is installed properly and performs as intended. We found that the existing pan is undersized and does not fully seat down onto the chase. To correct this, we have taken new measurements and are currently having a properly sized pan fabricated. Once the new pan is ready, we will also paint the existing shroud surround on-site the day of installation so that it matches the new pan for a clean, uniform appearance. Brandon was there the next business day, and I expressed to him how frustrated I was with a previous experience with a different company a few years ago and didn't want to go thru that again. Brandon assured me this would be different.....and wow, was he right. Clint was an amazing PM and Roberto who led the team onsite was incredible. They promised they'd have all work done in four days....maybe five. I was doubtful, but by the end of the first day, I could tell he was right. The team was quick, courteous, and the whole project was done in four days. Not only that but Clint helped work with insurance on my behalf to make sure all aspects were covered. He advocated for us to make sure it was all taken care of and took care of things I was overwhelmed in dealing with. He was way more help than our adjuster was. In 50+ years of homeownership I have never encountered a worse company than BDry. We paid them over…read moreten thousand dollars to encapsulate our crawlspace and $200 per year for three years to inspect it to be sure it was still in good waterproofed condition. Because I'm not able to crawl under the house to check their work, it was not until we had a leak in the kitchen and a water remediation company was called that I learned the truth. They took pictures of gaping holes in the plastic encapsulation with whole sections of wall that had no plastic. The plastic was just laid up next to the concrete block so that any moisture from the dirt below just traveled up the wall back into the crawlspace. BDry had cut a hole in the plastic encapsulation and dumped the water from the dehumidifier under the plastic onto the dirt below instead of putting in the sump pump we paid for. Probably because the sump pump was buried only 2 inches in the ground instead of being flush with the dirt. I doubt it worked at all. I could go on for pages but, hopefully, you get the idea. I have never felt so scammed by a company. We gave BDry a chance to fix the problems but they only added a few extra pieces of plastic and still left the dehumidifier dumping water into a hole they cut in the plastic. They did replace the broken dehumidifier because it was guaranteed. But because damp air kept recirculating round and round under the house I suppose it would've broken again pretty quickly. We only asked BDry for a refund of $600 for three years of yearly service to inspect for problems. To date they have not paid us. We had to hire another company to completely rework our crawl space. If someone had taken the time to write about their negative experience with BDry I never would've hired them and saved myself A LOT of money and heartache. Don't just walk away from BDry-RUN!!!
