I got this personalized signed lithograph print at comic con and really wanted to preserve the torn fluffy edges as best as possible. I usually get my own 11x17 frames off Amazon and call it a day, but I knew I wanted this one professionally framed. I brought it in and they were both happy to see it. They said that one of the cooler parts in this business is seeing what people bring in and they thanked me for bringing it in. The coolest part about this whole frame job is that this was all them. I honestly didn't know what I wanted other than maybe a black border but the son suggested the red and to raise it off the back a little bit to really make it pop and showed me a few examples in the store of what they meant and gave me some options for glass as well. They ended up beating the initial estimated turnaround by 2 weeks which was pretty cool too! I'll definitely be more open to buying expensive prints like this in the future knowing I have a shop that I can trust to frame it flawlessly. Thank you again guys and sorry I forgot your names lol

No more. Not here. I have always paid 1/2 up front and 1/2 upon pick up. Yet, when I returned to claim my framing this time, I was informed that the store had made an error and the total bill had increased by 35% from roughly $1,000 to nearly $1,500. I had been telephoned 3x in 24 hours by the owner, reminding me that my framing was ready to be picked up. Not once, in any of those telephone conversations, did he raise the change in price. He left that to the employee behind the counter. I was given no choice. I also run a small business and do understand that employees make errors. When they do, our firm owns up to it immediately and the customer NEVER pays for our errors. Our average price point dwarfs that of Creative Framing, so mistakes are quite costly. As for the "honesty, integrity and loads of creativity" that Creative Framing advertises on their web site, I guess one out of of three is about par for the course!

I have to admit, I was a bit hesitant at first, as I was accustomed to taking my art to my picture framer in Manhattan who always did incredible work. It turned out he was the manager of the store and had over 25 years of experience working as a professional picture framer in New York City. The manager had excellent design and color sense, was very patient and made sure I was aware of every detail of the custom framing process. My custom framing job turned out great and I'm very confident that my valuable artwork has been properly preserved with acid-free materials and museum glass. I found my new framer!

My go-to for framing is Michaels, but they can be costly so I thought I would check this place out to compare. From what I could gather, Backstreet provides several services relating to art prints; additionally, they also work with an external company to provide VHS to DVD conversion services. My initial visit was pretty standard - I chose my frame and the process was summarized to me. I was initially told there would be a 2-week turnaround time and that I would receive a call once the job was finished. To be transparent, it was a rocky road between dropping off my print and picking it up; I did not receive it until about 1.5 months later. However, Eileen was very transparent with the progress and performed a great service recovery. Overall, I wouldn't say this was the smoothest transaction, but Backstreet ultimately delivered and provided good customer service.
