They do great work but their service technicians can't seem to clean up after themselves this is after an oil change its not the first time I have had this issue with colonial.

Chevrolet displayed in the driver information center.

This dealership is all about the money, not about taking care of the customer! I have to repeat this, Colonial GMC is only about the money! Colonial GMC has zero morals, zero professionalism, zero integrity, and if they cannot get GM or someone other than the dealership to cover the cost, well the customer will NOT be taken care of. I wonder if they treat their own mothers like this? They will agree you have issues with your vehicle and even say they are sorry, but at the end of the day they offer ZERO solutions. I brought my GMC Canyon Denali in for an oil change. This was the closest GMC dealer to my house. When I arrived, I showed the service adviser a few issues that needed to be addressed at a later date, dash trim panel was bent from the factory, back up camera was blurry, front camera displayed inoperative, radio had frozen up, Apple CarPlay wouldn't work, the driver information center displayed Chevrolet, not GMC, and a few rattles. He looked up my account and said you have a GM Certified warranty, so you have until 48,000 miles to bring it back to get the issues fixed. He never said that the issues would not be covered or that they would not be covered by the Certified part of my warranty. Well, when it came time for the dealership to act on what the service adviser said, nothing but excuses. I have 2,000 miles until the warranty is up, but it might as well been expired. All this dealership is good at is lip service. They blamed GM for them not being able to fix my issues and even said that the quality recently was in question. I had pictures and video s showing the issues. Do you think they wanted me to email this to them, NO? The reason is they had no intention of fixing my truck. They did not even offer me another solution. I told them I do not expect something for nothing, but I would think you would want to work with me. NO, WRONG AGAIN! All I got was the typical excuse, "we could not duplicate the issue" and it doesn't matter you have pictures or video. Really!?! In all fairness, they did fix the Chevrolet in the driver information center, I guess GM paid for it. There only recommendation is to call the number on the back of your owners manual. Save yourself time, go somewhere else for sales, service, and parts! How they sleep at night is beyond me!

We felt that Sloan, in the front office, Vlad, the technician mechanic who did the work, were knowledgeable and skilled in fixing our vehicle. The work was done on time and at the price they quoted. They were able to offer solutions and services that the local auto dealer couldn't provide for an older model American car when factory parts were not available, even though their advertising favors foreign cars. They documented their assessment with photographs, before doing the repairs. They answered our questions and explained the problems and solutions. Their work is guarantee We would recommend this company.

I went in for what should have been one of the most basic, standard services there is: a battery replacement, including installation and programming. I was clear that I was not authorizing diagnostics, not asking them to investigate issues, and simply wanted a price quote. They took my keys, said they would get me checked in, and then asked me to sign a repair authorization before providing any pricing. While doing so, they asked questions about jump starts and "what else might be wrong," even though nothing else was wrong and I wasn't requesting additional work. This felt less like quoting a battery and more like fishing for additional things to charge for. The authorization I was asked to sign contained open-ended language, including lien language, without any quote or not-to-exceed amount. When I declined to sign paperwork authorizing unknown charges just to receive a price, I was told that was their policy and that they would not even give me a range unless I signed. Battery + install + programming is about as standard and quotable as it gets. Refusing to provide even a ballpark price without first requiring open-ended authorization is, at best, extremely poor transparency. If you're comfortable signing paperwork before knowing what you'll be charged, this may not bother you. If you expect straightforward pricing for basic services, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

From the moment I met Richard, the owner, I knew I was in good hands. He is incredibly personable, professional, and truly knowledgeable. I honestly thought my car was beyond repair--it would drive fine one moment, then suddenly lose power and shut off, especially at stop lights. It was an unpredictable and frustrating issue that no one had been able to figure out. But Richard took the time to thoroughly test drive my car and was able to pinpoint the exact problem. That alone gave me so much confidence in his expertise. Not only did he fix the issue, but his pricing was very fair and affordable. What truly set him apart, though, was the care and integrity he showed. A few days after the repair, he personally called to check and make sure everything was still running well. That level of customer service is rare. He and his wife are truly gems--honest, dependable, and genuinely committed to helping people. My husband and I are beyond pleased, and we can confidently say: we have found our mechanic! If you are looking for someone trustworthy, knowledgeable, and affordable, do not hesitate to visit Shields Repair Shop. You will not be disappointed. Highly recommend!
