In this day and age of distrust and disheartening inflation, I want to thank this business for their honesty, integrity and excellence. They did an excellent job on a truck repair awhile back, and yesterday, they checked out my A/C air compressor only to learn that it had just been overcharged. They were able to take me in as a walk-in, and they refused to charge for the evaluation. Didn't do a very good job on my vehicle. I'm just gonna leave it at that. They left my steering wheel pulling to the left after doing some work on the steering column and I took it back to have them fix it and they said they couldn't fix it that I had to go elsewhere. If I could give Colonial 10 stars, I would. I have always had such great service there so when my brakes started squeaking, I took my car to them. In 30 minutes, they were done checking everything and told me my brakes and car were in really good shape so no repairs were needed. On top of that, they didn't charge me anything...not a penny. The peace of mind I have now that I have had a professional give my car a clean bill of health is priceless. Very happy with them. My Ford Fusion 2019 would sometimes not start and AC would not blow air. Less than 24/7 after I gave them my car to look at they had a diagnosis & a quote for me. AC motor & fuel pump needed replacements, labor and parts $900! They were very quick. And the owner came to the shop the day before thanksgiving just to give me my car as they were on holiday break! I've had Randy's shop work on both my car & my truck numerous times. He offers fair and straightforward pricing and knows what he is doing. He doesn't guess and throw parts at a problem, and he doesn't employ idiots who mess something else up while fixing the problem it's in there for. I've had my car worked on at least three times by the guys at Colonial. Every time I've been treated fairly and charged very reasonable prices. I've used other car repair places in other cities and there have been times I thought I was getting ripped off. Never has that thought crossed my mind at Colonial. I drove up from Houston in a 2014 jeep grand Cherokee's for Labor Day weekend to LBJ and the air-conditioner broke, sweat the whole way. I called colonial on Friday morning and Randy answered and said he had several cars in but would work it in. He and his team had my AC working within an hour for a very good price. Randy understood that we couldn't be there all day or leave her car as we came up for holiday with family. I really appreciate his kindness and help to get us going again. I was referred to Colonial by Jones Jeeps in Marble Falls. I took my '97 Jeep Wrangler in and was very impressed by Randy and his staff. The Jeep had been sitting for about 1.5 yr and needed some TLC. I dropped the Jeep off and told Randy to check it out and let me know what needed to be done - major or minor. I was in no hurry and expecting to she'll out a good chunk of change on this Jeep. A few days later Randy called and only had minor things that were in need of repair (new battery, starter, 02 sensor). I was able to get the parts cheaper at another store and Randy had no problem with that; I simply gave him the parts and he had the Jeep fixed quickly and for a cheap and fair price. A lot of places probably would have tried to take me for a fool, being a woman and not knowing a whole heck of a lot about vehicles. If I were still working in the area I would definitely use Colonial for my automotive repair needs ;) read more

Randy is the only mechanic that I'll let touch any of my cars. I was originally referred to him after a mechanic in Round Rock told me I'd need $1500 worth of suspect repairs. I took it to Randy and he fixed the problem for around a hundred and fifty bucks. Over the last seven years, I've taken four of my vehicles to him and he's always been great and 100% honest with me. He's the best mechanic I've ever had and I can't recommend him enough. The only problem is that he can get busy depending on the time of year. But don't go somewhere else! Just wait until Randy has time to fix it if you can. He's the greatest. read more

TEN STARS - Two reviews in one! Trustworthy and Honest! For the past 22 years, Randy and Stephanie have always been honest with me regarding the nature of the problem with my vehicle and price. Also, courtesy runs rampant at Colonial! I have always been treated with respect here. I have always felt those at Colonial have only performed work which was necessary and authorized. I have come to trust Randy's assessments (yes, I was skeptical at first). Granted, prices at Colonial may be a bit higher than some other mechanic in Marble Falls; but, I promise, you get what you pay for. I made the mistake of using another mechanic for a while, because the price seemed right. However, I'll gladly pay a little more up front for the work Colonial does PROPERLY, than be nickle and dimed for shoddy work and continued problems (and pay more in the long run). My father also has begun taking his vehicle to them and has been just as satisfied. (So, I suppose this is two reviews in one. Colonial was recommended to me as I am new to the area. I took my vehicle because of a new sound I was hearing under the hood. Turns out I needed a water pump. I have never been to a mechanic so this experience was a good one. Very nice, honest place with many repeat customers who were known by first names. One man even came in and dropped off a blank check for his car repair. Thats trust and speaks volumes. I'm hoping to never have another car issue but if I do, I would return there and recommend them highly. read more

I will drive an hour to bring my car to Colonial. They are professional, reasonably priced and have never done me wrong. I had them replace a part, the replacement part malfunctioned a few months later. They warrantied the part and replaced it a second time at no cost to me. BAD BUSINESS MANNERS!! After being referred to Colonial Auto I took my Suburban in to see if he could give me a quote. They were booked that day so we scheduled for me to come in at 8 A.M. on a Wednesday morning so he could put it on a lift and look it over. We talked about the Suburban being my only vehicle, me living 30 minutes out of town and if we were to schedule repair, i needed to make transportation arrangements on the day of repair. Mind you, this is five days longer that I drive with a very bad rear main seal that is leaking oil heavily. I came in the morning (on time) we had scheduled and he looks at me as if I'm not supposed to be there and tells me it will be at least four hours for him to even look at it. Why did we schedule an appointment to make sure he had a lift for me? I left speechless because I felt like laying into him. He offered no apology and I called Wagoner Tire to see if they could help. Wagoner kindly referred me to Wayne's Auto in Burnet who did not have a lift available but a mechanic slid under my car in the rain and looked it over. He gave me a quote and we scheduled repair and I was on my way by 9:00 A.M. I am so tired of businesses wasting my time and not doing what they say. Colonial will never get my business and I will tell every one my experience with them. I'm sure they wouldn't have appreciated me not showing up for a repair when they had set aside time for me. read more
