Respectful visitors are welcome daily from 8am - 6pm seven days a week . Make sure to grab a brochure and guide near the entrance as it highlights some notable figures who've made Quaker Cemetery their final resting place like Agnes of Glasgow who legend says she died while looking for her British lover. If you seek her grave out keep in mind she is buried right outside of the Quaker cemetery inside the Old Presbyterian Cemetery but it's still considered Quaker Cemetery. Then there's Sergeant Richard Kirkland , also known as the Angel of Marye's Heights ; During the Civil War at the battle of Fredericksburg he risked his life to carry water to the enemy , injured and dying union soldiers. Make sure you take some time to learn some of the interesting stories of the residents here , I'm sure they will be glad you visited !!

I heard weird music and singing..it didn't scare me but it was coming from the forest that's behind the cemetery. I thought maybe they piped the music in just to scare people. It was interesting to see this.place.

They treated my family with the utmost respect and care during a very somber time. Everything was handled thoughtfully and they provided the exact set up of what was envisioned. My father passed suddenly and while we were in shock, we could have easily been convinced to spend more, but Robbie and his team took the time to learn about my daddy, what kind of person he was and what he valued, and assisted accordingly - a simple, less expensive casket, etc. that potentially kept them from making as much money. They gladly accommodated his wishes of not being buried in a suit, even though it created more work for them to have his arms showing in a polo. It's been almost three years since they helped with the passing of my father, and I just called them to see if they'd share some resources they provided to my family for a friend who just lost her dad. The answer? "Of course, I'll email that to you in just a moment." No question of where that friend lives or who is doing the services (potentially a competitor), just them caring for those who are mourning and doing everything they can to help. I couldn't recommend this place more.
