This is part of the Turner Falls Park area. Built in the 1930s as a summer home for Dr. Ellsworth Collings, a Dean of Education at the University of Oklahoma, this stone castle features an Old English architectural style with maze-like rooms, low ceilings, steep staircases, and narrow windows. Constructed from locally quarried stone, it includes a main house, two bunkhouses, two outhouses, and a stable (later used as a garage). A notable feature is its fireplace, originally decorated with Oklahoma's rose rocks, though many have been removed due to vandalism. The castle's eerie ambiance has fueled local ghost stories. For the best visit, go mid-week or off-season to avoid crowds and wear sturdy shoes for the steep terrain. There is a 15 dollar summer admission fee and 5 dollar winter fee. Children under 5 are free. read more
