Sometimes it can be a lil muddy so don't wear good shoes and bring a towel to wipe off your pups feet before getting in the car. Another thing we love is everyone we have come in contact with here really obeys the rules of "going to a dog park" if somebody's pup gets in a "mood" they leave as not to cause issues for others (we also have left when our dog was getting a bit too bossy). You can either park in the lot and walk up the hill to the dog park OR you can drive your car up the hill, park along the street (or if you're lucky park in the limited spots available) and then go to the park from there. The dog park is divided into two sections. There's a big dog and small dog play area. It's very spacious! Oh and don't worry if you forgot to bring bags to pick up your dog's waste. There are plenty there. Also there's water available for the dogs. It's a great place! Last time I went, people brought their own chairs and sat there watching their dogs. There are a few benches there, but if you plan on staying awhile I highly suggest bringing your own folding chair. I highly recommend bringing your dog to this park! It's great!

I took my dog and my grandma here to hopefully have a nice day at the dog park while my dog could play, while my grandma sits in the shade. We ended up having a really hard time finding the park driving wise because it was a bit hidden and tucked away from any houses, apartments, and is located behind the Oak Park park that goes into the mountains. Granted, you end up at the bottom of the dry grassland hills and mountains there, and it's gorgeous. But on a sunny day, it was unfortunate that there wasn't any shade or good shaded areas to sit. They have one bench alllllll the way at the end of the dog park. When we showed up at the dog park initially, no one was actually there! So it ended up just being an empty grass field for my dog, which we made work, but I know he wanted to socialize and play with others. Even though this one is closer to me, I end up just going to the Westlake Dog Park most days since it's more accommodating for us.

We hiked out to Paradise Falls, and while the view from a distance had me thinking, "That's it?"... once you get closer, it's actually beautiful. The weather was in the 80s, with the cool breeze made the hike so much more enjoyable (especially on the steeper parts). My pup had the best time too! I would've loved to let him run free, but this isn't an off-leash park. What I really loved is that there are so many different trails. Whether you're in the mood for a quick walk, a jog, or a longer hike, you'll find a route that fits. There were lots of people out enjoying the scenery, and the nearby town has plenty of cute spots to grab a bite afterward. It was such a fun outing. I would totally do it again!

I like that there is some shade up by the park. The dog park isn't for me but I appreciate the layout of it with both the small dog section and the big dog section. It's not so much the park, it's the dog owners which made me take a break from this spot. Like other reviews said some people just aren't mindful dog owners and why they take their dogs to the park is beyond me. My dog is shy and attached to my hip so he didn't love the dog park to begin with. When I'd come here to this specific dog park there were enough instances of aggressive little dogs attacking other dogs that I kind of just became over this place. If I felt my dog was safe here I'd try to bring him more but with the little aggressive dogs & his disinterest we haven't been back for a long time. Some of my friends have said good things about this dog park so I'm sure it just depends on the day and which set of doggies you come across. My more updated review is for the pickleball courts. Came today and I enjoyed these courts. They are nicely painted and clean. My only upgrade is I wish they had more squares. Only two pickleball courts so if it's a busy day you'll definitely need to wait. However today wasn't too bad and we got to play a lot. Met a lot of nice fellow players and overall it was a good day. I like that the parking spots are close to the courts. Easy. A nice place to play as long as it isn't busy, wish they had more courts but I just doesn't seem like they have the room. I'll definitely be back though.
