UPDATE: After leaving the sheets, blankets and bath towels out on a bed overnight to air out the…read morescent, the scent was still pretty strong this morning. So I don't see how they can advertise as using "free and clear" detergent. Doesn't that mean scent-free? Family medical issues have resulted in home chores, one of which was laundry, taking a back seat. So I was very happy to find a service that would take care of this task for me. I went with Wash Wizards based on the stellar reviews, the convenience of no-contact pick-up and drop-off, the free and clear detergent (aka scent-free), and the free cloth laundry bag that was supposed to come with the delivery of my first order that would then allow me to fill the bag with the items I wanted to have washed. I placed my order (bedding and bath rugs) on Friday for a Saturday pick-up. And since this was my first order, I placed my laundry in trash bags outside my front door. I just put everything in the bags. The order was picked up before noon and delivered today (Monday) before noon as well. Now, according to the website "Everything comes back to you folded and packaged in a cloth laundry bag that is provided free of charge." However, mine did not. Instead, everything came packaged in one large clear plastic bag that was knotted so tight that I had to use scissors to get the laundry out. In terms of quality of services, they did a great job folding the sheets, but there was a definite scent on the laundry. Also, I can only suppose that they washed everything (rather than separating by colors) in hot water because my pale pink sheets and floral sheets looked duller, and my slate blue sheets had clearly faded. Again, having not used a laundry service before, if I needed to separate the washing into separate bags, that would have been helpful to have included in the FAQ. And I guess I have been so used to washing in cold water that I didn't think of adding that to my order - so I'll take the blame for that - but perhaps updating the website order page to include that as an option to select, because when you are busy with other things that you need a laundry service, adding notes to your laundry is the last thing on your mind. Finally, the lack of a laundry bag bugged me, especially since the website specifically promised one as coming with the first order.

They're open daily from 6 am to 10 pm with last wash at 8:30 pm and are closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas. There's no coin machine and everything is contactless payment, which is honestly a relief. The space is clean and well maintained, with plenty of laundry carts, ample folding tables with shelves, comfy seating, big 65-inch TVs, and free WiFi. Parking is not huge, but there are dedicated spots and I've never had trouble finding one. If you can, avoid rush hours and weekends for a smoother experience. They also offer laundry drop-off service if you're short on time. I never really interacted with the staff, but the place always felt busy and running smoothly, which says a lot. One thing worth saying for those complaining about last wash times. Please be considerate. Do not come in after 8:30 pm expecting to start a load. Last wash means last wash. This is the same as showing up to a restaurant five minutes before closing and expecting full service. Staff is tired and wants to go home. Bonus points for 7-Eleven right next door for snacks or drinks. I usually brought a book and didn't mind the wait. Now that I finally have a working washer at home, I haven't needed to go back yet, but I would absolutely return if I did. Clean, convenient, and exactly what you want in a neighborhood laundromat.

Upon visiting, the second laundromat I walked in, immediately was hit by a strong foul odor, looked at the outdated equipment, and walked right out. I decided to postpone my laundry visit for the next day. SO HAPPY I DID! The next day, I decided to return to Central Coast Laundry and they were back up and running. I had not used a laundromat for a long time so things have gone hi-tech. I downloaded the Speed Queen app. Then to ensure I was doing everything right, I requested the assistance of the gentleman seated in the Fluff and Fold Room. Unfortunately, I did not catch his name but he was very patient and kind in guiding me through the process with ease. I washed and dried my laundry in no time. The laundromat was clean/tidy/organized and I would recommend it to anyone. I am happy to have discovered this gem and definitely will be returning to this location to fulfill my laundry needs.

I stopped coming for a while simply because I wasn't wearing many office clothes, but recently I brought in several coats, dress pants, and dresses that needed some attention. As usual, everything came back looking fantastic. What has always set this dry cleaner apart for me is the quality of their work and attention to detail. I've tried other dry cleaners over the years, and unfortunately I've had experiences where stains were simply ironed over rather than properly treated. I've never had that issue here. They take the time to do the job right, and it shows. I trust them with some of my most important clothing, including my military dress uniforms, Calvin Klein workwear, and Saks Fifth Avenue pieces. Their work is simply divine. Whether it's everyday professional attire or clothing for a special event, everything comes back looking crisp, clean, and impeccably cared for. Their prices are also very fair for the level of service they provide. Over the years, they've consistently delivered excellent results, and that kind of reliability is hard to find. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dry cleaner that truly takes pride in their work.
