On a visit to Alliance last week, I stopped at this bakery to get a few items as a gift for my dog…read moresitter. One item I purchased had a sign above it that said, "Cheesecake." When I got back to my hotel, I noticed that the emailed receipt I received said it was a cookie. I took the item out of the container to look at it and, sure enough, it was not cheesecake but a double layered cookie type item. I also noticed that the bottom of the item was burnt to the point that it looked like a charcoal briquet. I took a bite of it, just to confirm it was not a dark chocolate cookie crust. It was definitely burnt to the point that I had to spit it out. The bakery did refund this item upon request but I was then left with one less item for my dog sitter's gift. There was also a 4% "plastic charge" on my receipt. I asked the bakery through email about this charge. They responded by telling me that they charge 4% for credit card usage and that it is posted in the store. I did not see the sign. There are many signs in the store and I did not take the time to read them all. If you are going to charge an extra fee for credit cards, there needs to be an explicit verbal notice given as the customer hands the card to the employee.

They were incredibly tender and almost fell off the bone, but held together exactly the way true competition-style ribs should. The Brisket: Pure butter.
