    We would strongly recommend Matt to our friends and family in the area…read more We met with several realtors before choosing to work with Matthew to sell our home in Bellevue, WA. Matt wasn't the lowest rate, the highest sale volume, nor did he cite a substantially higher sale price. But his recommendations on prep/staging/marketing; his full-service, detailed, and organized approach; and our ability to speak honestly about expectations really stood out. We also appreciated that he recommended ways to highlight the unique touches in the home, rather than (literally) whitewashing everything as some other realtors advised. His approach magnified the things we loved about the home and the care we put into maintaining and improving it. We were out-of-state during the majority of the sale, and relied on Matt and his team very heavily for sale preparation. He made proposals, got quotes, and oversaw work. Matt was upfront about whether he thought each suggested improvement would pay for itself, and actively advised against changes other realtors had suggested that he didn't think were worth it. He was always clear that it was our decision and also happily accommodated us doing some of the work ourselves. Because of his and his team's diligence we were able to hit our target list date, with a house that was shown in its best light. The local market had become more uncertain: markets were softening and a similar house down the street was sitting on the market after weeks, despite a price drop. We adjusted our intended list price (still within his initial range) and our expectations, but Matt remained confident in the home and how it would show. We got an under-asking offer early, and Matt went into overdrive to solicit additional offers. Ultimately we got a very attractive at-list-price offer, the house went pending within a week of listing, and we had a very smooth closing experience. There's always luck involved, but we expect that with most other realtors it would have more work for us to get the house on the market and the sale price would have been lower.

He is extremely knowledgable and took time to walk us through the process and expectation. He was always communicative and very reliable whenever we have questions or need to look at some properties. We originally intend to be more passive while looking at houses and would take time to look through options. Matt was very receptive to that and always ensure we are truly comfortable with any decision we make. In the end, we got a new home pretty quickly also below the list price. The negotiation was handled expertly and any problems during the transactions were handled efficiently. I'd totally recommend Matt to anyone looking to buying a property actively or passively alike.

It's not that Rene's communication with us was bad, it was minimal. A few emails in 6 months. We were just strangely not in sync. It appears she wrote us off as problematic clients early in the relationship. After 6 months no sale, what a surprise. The coup de grace, Rene can't locate the 2 sets of keys and garage door opener to return to us. There's a lot of good realtors out there, I can't recommend Rene.

    Our family bought a home in Queen Anne in 2011. This realtor was the seller's agent. When we saw…read morethe for sale sign, we called her and told her we would like to see the home. She said she was unavailable but would contact her colleague--another agent at Windemere--and have her meet us at the home to let us in. She let us in, and we ended up buying it. When we were in escrow and about to close the sale, this realtor's colleague, the one who let us in, filed a special claim for a commission IN ADDITION to the commissions being paid to this agent and our own agent. She claimed to be a participating agent who played a central role in selling us the home. We told this agent and her colleague, they should work this out amongst themselves. They refused. Rather than fight the claim, delay the purchase, and risk falling out of escrow, we paid it. It cost us several thousand dollars. We would not do business with this realtor again. She has never called us to apologize or make it right. Twice she has complained to Yelp about our review and convinced Yelp to pull it down. Twice we have put it back up. To be transparent, we are property owners, so this review is from the owner's point of view. Having said that, he's been proactive in making sure the rental house is in a good shape, including regular annual maintenance. This is to ensure tenants get what they pay for. One thing David really stands out is his responsiveness and timely communications. Tips: believe it or not, best way to contact him is via email. He'll call me as soon as he's available whenever I ask him to call me via email. His email responses are mostly cryptic and straight to the point, and some folks may take that differently. But for us, we like his cut-to-the-chase, no-nonsense style. Believe us, we have had a different property manager before, and he may seem courteous, but his responsiveness and professionalism are not even close to David's.

David doesn't ignore hard problems but will take care of them right away. These problems were ignored for years by my previous property manager (also full-priced 10% but not half as worth the price). When faced with tricky situations, David will try to find the best solution for the landlord. Windermere seems to be doing a very professional job and I hope they can remain excellent always!
