Staff is rude and disorganized. Canceled my appointment, didn't bother to call me and when I showed up, gaslit me saying I didn't have an appoint. Left and 5 minutes later got a call saying they DID cancel it and rescheduled me but forgot to call. Put me on the wrong diet for hernia surgery even after I asked twice if it was correct. Had surgery and had to ask for my pain meds but no one told me so in a great deal of pain for far too long. They scheduled me for post-op, got to the week of, they called to reschedule but only gave me 2 dates, that didn't work and would not work me in for 3 months. Then tried to charge for it - I left without seeing the dr. Those are just a few examples...I have more... I like Dr. Kennedy but I would not recommend her on the basis of what I've experienced with her staff. Terrible. read more

Dr. Kennedy is thorough. She takes her time, listens and cares about her patients. She's booked out so scheduling your visits with her requires planning but she's worth it. read more

Just received a call from a woman at this office, she identified the provider but not herself. She was calling me in regards to an interview for the medical receptionist position. However, I upset her because I didn't remember the exact details of this position which I applied for 2 months ago! As if when job searching you apply for 1 job at a time then wait 2 months to get a call from a dude hiring staff member. This lady was very rude to me on my phone, she stated she was no longer interested in interviewing me because I didn't remember exact details in regards to the position applied for. Thank God I've interviewed and have a position doing exactly what I love and working with really nice and pleasant people. read more

Horrible customer care. After waiting a year to see Dr. Kennedy for a wellness exam, I was "processed through" my appointment. Wasn't even asked how about my health/how was feeling (when it was clear I looked like the walking dead.) After quickly going through her routine and it was obvious she was ready to move on to the next patient, I intervened which led us to a good next step and some bloodwork. Office refuses to let you get your normal bloodwork/labs done in advance of seeing doctor so you have to return for another office visit and hear the results you already have already seen in your online charts from Beaumont a week before the doctor's office acknowledges receipt of them .... doc's office has their own portal and it appears to be only mode of communication for their outreach, when it finally happens. Updates you take time to provide somehow get ignored - like when you provide a new email or pharmacy so expect hiccups from that as well. read more

If you want a nurse practitioner instead of a doctor or a family doctor you have to wait 8 weeks to see, this is the place to be. If you call the nurse line, they tell you to leave specific information or they will "delete" your call. If you do exactly as you are told, then they will call you back within 24 - 48 hours. The only staff you can actually talk to is the receptionist, and she is uncaring and rude. I like Dr. Kennedy, but I hate her practice. I do not want to work with a doctor it takes me eight weeks to see, so I am going to shop around again. I am not paying for, nor do I want a nurse practitioner as my doctor. read more

I've had a couple decent experiences at this place but overall it's been a nightmare to deal with them (and by "them," I refer to the receptionists.) What a group of ill-equipped, under-educated, unpleasant "professionals." As an administrative professional myself who makes a living training administrative staff to excel, it's always somehow embarrassing for me to watch the Kennedy Girls in action. It wouldn't be a bad idea for this practice to send the reception staff for training or to replace them with trained personnel. Basic duties such as faxing and phone etiquette seem to stress these girls out so much that they find it acceptable to lash out at their clients. I dread calling them or having to deal with them in person. Luckily, my insurance company will allow me to leave them in the coming months. I'm counting the minutes! read more

Dr. Kennedy is a great doctor, I've been going to her for several years and am very happy with the care I've received. She doesn't make you feel rushed and is very compassionate and caring. She is also very up to date with technology and it's great to be able to get test results via email and have blood work done right on the premises. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Kennedy. I've been here for a year now. In all this time I haven't seen the doctor. I didn't mind, as I figured the nurse practitioner was ok up to now. However, I had a new prescription for my Thyroid and reacted VERY BAD to it. Within a week I broke out in itchy hives and was scratching my arms raw. I called to get in right away, as I had the next few days off. I was told by the nurse to wait 8 WEEKS before coming in. I asked what to do in the meantime with these hives??? The Thyroid is not an organ to mess around with as it affects mood, metabolism, weight, energy, sleep, mental clarity, etc. Over three days this back and forth went on. Finally the doctor was apparently consulted and she advised me to stop taking the meds (which I already did) and come in right away. I couldn't come in for a week at that point, due to my days off being used already. So I came in a week later, expecting a consult as you cannot stop taking medicine for your thyroid and I need a new prescription. I didn't see anyone, they only took blood - every other time I've come in for bloodwork I saw a nurse and had vitals, taken, and we discussed my prescription dose. I asked to see the doctor urgently and was refused. They said they'd put a note in for the doctor and could schedule me later. I couldn't come back as I drive almost an hour to this office. And I was due at work soon at that point. I am very upset, falling apart without my medicine and cannot believe the lack luster response. I have been going to Dr. Kennedy for over 10 years. I see her two times a year, once for a physical and 6 months later for a medicine check. I feel that she is an excellent doctor. I'm always amazed at the amount of time she takes to listen to all my concerns. She is understanding, professional and knowledgeable. Her staff has been nothing but helpful and informative when I'm at the office or calling on the phone. I have also seen the physician assistances and have had great care. I recommend you keep looking for another doctor. I selected this practice based on research after we moved here. Maybe at one time this was a good practice. Now, I am not even sure a Dr Kennedy actually works here. Do not expect to EVER be seen by a doctor. The staff of nurses and assistants either laughs when you ask or just frantically shakes their heads. Expect to be told you will see a nurse practitioner. No doctor follows up after they have seen you. I have had them search their phone for an answer and also try to order multiple expensive tests at one time. Honestly, I would run from this practice. We are switching as soon as I find someone else. Just horrendous. Meds not called in, x rays not followed up on for a week. No one calls back. I am late to write this, I had my surgery with Dr. Kennedy over Thanksgiving of 2016. My surgery was successful but I feel future patient should be warned about the terrible customer service and patient care I received from this practice. This office did a great job selling me on Dr. Kennedy during my first two appointments and I believed at the time she was the best option. However, after they sold me on using Dr. Kennedy to do my gastric sleeve they were nothing but disorganized, rude and very unprofessional. My surgery was covered by my insurance and their finance department was incredibly rude she even told me that "my insurance underpays Dr. Kennedy and she wished we they would discontinue working with my insurance company. They misfiled the original paperwork and when I asked them to do it again they were so mad. I would make 4-5 phone calls before I was ever called back. I wish I would have canceled my surgery at this point, but, we were already so far in I was trying to stick it out. The receptionist/ appointment setter is was a horrible person. you heard her making fun of obese patients in the waiting room. Every appointment I had I was on average about 1.5 hours behind schedule. I would rate patient care and follow up a ZERO. In fact, I was never contacted after the surgery was completed to do a follow up. I ended up seeing another practice for my post-op care because my experience was so bad. The night I stayed in the hospital was terrible. My fiancée had to keep going out to hunt for a nurse. I was ignored plain and simple. I threw up 4-5 time before a nurse gave me an anti-nausea medicine. You cannot image the pain of throwing up after your stomach has been cut up and stapled shut. I was allergic to the pain meds they gave me, and was covered in itchy hives, it took over an hour to get an anti-itch medicine (I want to note I was not asking for narcotics these are basic drugs that should have been administered immediately). Dr. Kennedy did not follow up the next day, it was her aid. She had no idea-who I was, what surgery I had or anything about my chart. She told my fiancée she would have my check out paperwork put together in an hour ....it took 4 hours. She forgot to sign a one of the forms and the nurses had to hunt her down. When we finally got out of the hospital I went home with my prescription. Unfortunately, I continued to get nauseas for several weeks after the surgery. I called the office 4-5 time and finally emailed and called Dr. Kennedy directly to try and get a refill on my anti-nausea medication (once again not a narcotic but a basic drug that should have been refilled). When Dr. Kennedy finally got back to me you could tell she was not interested in helping her patient, she was rude, basically called me a liar and told me to drink more water. She did refill my RX but only for 15 days. At that point I was done with Kennedy bariatrics. I went to another surgeon for my post-op care. The new surgeon said there was no reason why I should have to fight for this RX and that some patients are just more nauseous than others after surgery. I have been through quite a few doctors, trying to find a doctor like Dr. Kennedy. I am 31 and was experiencing symptoms that might sound "normal" to most people, but I was tired of accepting the way I was feeling as my new "normal". Dr. Kennedy truly listened and has helped me more than I can thank her for. I feel like I did when I was 21. I agree with everything in the review before mine. I never wait in the lobby more than 5 minutes, and Dr, kennedy actually cooresponds with me via email! She even calls in my refills after I request them in an email! My mom actually referred me to DR. Kennedy, and she was referred by my aunt. My dad even sees and loves her! I am taking my boys and my husband too, however so many people have found out how good she is, so it is hard to get an appointment for new patient's. You can see one of her PA's though. This office has been my primary for about three years now and I have yet to see this Colleen Kennedy that bills me for seeing a doctor but instead forces me to see a physicians assistant who googles my symptoms as I am talking to her. First visit a couple years ago was for a physical with Stephanie , that went ok except for the fact that she kept trying to force a pap smear on me. Second visit was for some lightheadedness issues I have been having for a few months now , Ashley didn't seem too knowledgeable or interested and she just prescribed me a general anti inflammatory. She referred me to and ENT after I suggested the dizziness could be from my ears. The following visit was with Stephanie for a follow up from an emergency room visit for severe right sided chest pain. She told me it's probably gas or reflux or a pulled muscle. Tried both resolutions, did not work. Of all of those visits none irritated me more then my visit a week ago with Megan. (Big mistake). I called to make an appointment because of all of prior issues and I was tired of feeling unwell all the time. First and foremost, I had my six month old with me. She seemed to be concerned with the size of my daughter's head. She she "oh she has a big head". Very insulting. I was never weighed. They asked me for my weight and I threw a random number iut there. They jotted it down. She began to pretend to examine me and she said well I wont bother examining your breasts because you just went to OB. Told her about upper abdominal pain , she said try Tums. Again with the digestive issue this office tries to use as solutions. She spent about 20 mins with me and then finally said "well I guess I do not need to check anything else , you are young and healthy". Really? She seemed bored with the whole process. I felt very neglected. Also, still waiting on blood work from a week ago (basic blood work) that takes two days max at even the busiest doctors offices. I haven't even included the experiences my husband has had. Do not go to this office. They are honestly a big joke. They lost a patient and hopefully they will lose more , so they can stop being so "busy". read more
