I needed a haircut and beard trim badly, wanted to find a place really close, who did a really good job, and at a very reasonable price. So I did a search, and found Comb and scissors within a 10 minute walk. Very friendly, clean, very nice barbering, and all at a price I can visit often enough to not look like a short Chewbacca!

So we found this shop that was open late and decided to give it a shot, and pray that our hair cuts came out good. The barber Chuck took us in and he got right to work; and he did a fantastic job. Literally he made my line up look easy! I was shocked and I am very appreciative of that. Having a widows peak is hard because lining it up it insane. But he was able to do it and make it look the best; my hair cut was fresh asf and I can't wait to come back here, anytime I'm in there area I will definitely be stopping by, The vibe and atmosphere was nice and the music was good, and the shop was like a normal old school barbershop, you felt safe inside. Charlie Dureka at Neibert's traditional barber shop has been cutting my hair for five years. I…read morefound him because I asked someone in a Camp Hill restaurant where he had had his perfect flattop cut. I went to Neibert's that afternoon and received the best flattop I'd ever had. Since then, I've had every standard haircut from horseshoe flattop to a businessman's medium length cut, and I've been satisfied every time. He is ultra precise, and he schedules nearly an hour for flattops - I've known him to occasionally spend 3/4 hour to cut mine with panache. Most haircuts average 20 -25 minutes, Each cut is finished with a warm lather outline shave around ears and neck, and he then gives you an excellent shoulder massage. Charlie is semi retired, and now, at age 62, he works only Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, by appointment. The shop has regular hours Tues - Saturday, when Dorothy and Elizabeth (identical twins) hold sway, and they are very attentive, good listeners, and good cutters. Charlie, however, is a master. He listens to what you want and goes for it. He's unafraid to go short,and will shave the sides and back of a high and tight or flattop with no hesitation. He is regularly visited by the area's cops, fireman and military personnel, yet he is also an excellent barber for more standard, longer and stylish haircuts. At one time he worked for the State Police training facility, so his expertise around very short, military style haircuts is evident. He's a fun guy with a great sense of humor, and he'll give you his personal opinion of your style on you if you ask, though he is tactful. Charlie makes Neibert's the very best in the Harrisburg area. Tell him Lee sent you and he'll laugh. The price, at $11, is a good value for central PA, yet Charlie's talent on your haircut makes it a phenominal bargain. Make an appointment and see for yourself. He works evenings on those days he works at all. I can't imagine wanting to ever change barbers again!
