I go to St George Fruit Market regularly. I have come to know the people there. I take my…read moregrandkids and the staff often give them drinks or pieces of fruit. They love it. The fruit and vegetables are always fresh and priced well. I highly recommend them!

After driving past this place hundreds of times, I finally stopped and did my fruit and veg shopping here. It was the middle of the day so pretty quiet, they have onsite parking and little trolleys to push around. I actually went the wrong way around the aisles so ended up finishing at the entrance and having to retrace my steps. Novice mistake! The quality of the produce seemed good on the shelves, the tomatoes looked way overripe but they were such an awesome deep red colour I had to buy some anyway. There is cut up fruit if you want to grab something for lunch, which was tempting but I resisted. I also scored 12 tins of tomatoes for $10 which was a bargain; you can never have too many tins of tomatoes. I nearly bought some tortellini and Greek pita from the fridges until I realised that it is produced around the corner from my house, so resolved to go direct to the manufacturer! I got a big box full of fruit and veg, the tin tomatoes, juice and bread rolls, and it came under $40. Pretty good I reckon. Update: I bought a 3 pack of avocadoes for $3 and the first one was rotten. Not keen to try the others...

After going through the checkout the price she charged me seemed excessive for what I had bought so I immediately checked the receipt . Upon checking I saw the price of the sauce was $25. I was still in the store at the checkout and asked for a refund which they refused. I asked for a credit for the next week when I did my shop and she refused . I could only exchange it for something else so had to go searching for something I really didnt need for $25. I could understand if it was fruit or veg and I had left the store but I was still in the store and the product was in a jar. Wont be shopping here again

Being a mother I know how hard it is to find good quality fresh fruits and vegetables. I have been…read morequite put off by the supermarket chains who sell produce kept in storage for ages. I stumbled upon Miles fresh food when my husband had some work in the area and I just thought I could use the time to finish off my local grocery shopping. I couldn't believe what I saw - fresh, crisp fruits and vegetables and that too at prices cheaper than anywhere else. Amazed at the variety of offerings as well as the prices, I recommended this to other family and friends. The staff is friendly and is ready to help you in every possible way. They even have a variety of freshly baked goods .Love the Pizza bases and the wraps. They also have a variety of herbs and spices available from different countries. These days my weekly grocery shopping is never complete without going to Mile's fresh food .

Ever since he took over the place & made it his own by changing the name & making top qaulity pizzas/kebabs it's been nothing less but perfection :D!! I love all the food at this place & have neverbeen dissapointed & that goes for anyone I've ever taken to eat here & my family & friends that have came over for a big pizza feed :D!! They have medium sized pizzas for about $6.50 - $12.00 which all taste great & fill you up & the selection is big enough for you to have to visit a few times to try all the different ones they have to offer:)!! My 2 all time favourites that i normally grab on the go is the Zaatar pizza for $2.50 which is very popular for breakfast for alot of my Lebanese friends or even as just a great tasting snack:) & the other one is Zaatar special $5.50 which is a healthy kebab you could say with zaatar spread, fresh mint, tomato, cucumber, olives & shallots :D!! He's also started making kebabs which I've never seen any Lebanese bakery do, they are so great tasting that there is no time for photos haha. Pretty sure it was on his mind before but i think the locals pushed him in the right direction after they kept asking if he did kebabs :)!! This place is by far my favorite pizza/kebab joint in the area, definately got my hooked :D!!!

I have a problem. A serious problem. Wednesday is usually everyone's 2nd favourite day of the…read moreworking week because it's hump day but Wednesday is actually my favourite because the Aldi's specials catalogue comes out every Wednesday. I'm an Aldi addict. I may work in marketing but I still get sucked into their genius marketing tricks week in week out. To the point where I will line up on Wednesday/Saturday mornings (note this is when the specials are released) along with the rest of Hurstville to get those specials. An Aldi addict that only gives 4/5 stars? That doesn't make sense. So the reason for the missing star is that Hurstville Aldi is CRAZY!!!! I wish this wasn't the closest Aldi to me but it's a dog fight for the specials each week. The sports specials, the winter clothing specials, the ski specials. My goodness the crowd has arrived by 8.20 at least. As soon as the doors open at 8.30 it's a mad rush to get your size. If you're late (by late I mean about 8.40) you might as well not show up. The other thing with Hurstville is they must carry a very limited number of size S as they are gone like this. Limited supply and over demand is never a good thing! Be prepared... be very prepared to fight to the death and have those shoppers who come to do normal grocery shopping with their trollies roll their eyes at you as they struggle to get past the crowd towards their fresh produce. I must say though you can get really good deals at Aldi. A pair of hiking boots for $35? Say What?!!! Premium ski jacket for $99? GET OUT! One tip. If you use a debit card and pay with pay pass it's an extra 0.5% but if you insert the card into the machine and put in your pin no surcharge. It's Wednesday today... yes I have picked up my catalogue. Time to get browsing.
