She helped us organize our various information, guided us through parts we were unsure about, and explained our options for each step. We really appreciated her thorough and knowledgeable guidance. Dealing with questions about death and illness is of course stressful, but Angela helped us tackle these tough discussions. It really gave us a lot of peace of mind to have the tools to help make these life events less stressful in the future for our family and friends. She also really cared about what kind of legacy is important to us. Thank you!

She entered the Gardens of Bellaire on a gurney and couldn't walk, slept 20+ hours each day and had just gotten rid of the infection. She left the facility 2.5 weeks later in a wheelchair but able to walk a very long distance using a walker plus she could now take care of all her personal needs by herself. The staff is awesome. The Director of Nursing Stephanie Gonzales always had time to talk to me about policies and procedures and how to make the time there as effective as possible. Both Jennifers on staff were also extremely helpful in making my wife's care the best it could be. Charlotte handled most of the daily routines for my wife and she was the most caring person you could hope to have their for your family member. Many other staff members were also helpful and always cheerful. The Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy staff were really good at what they do. They amended the program to what my wife was able to do but they pushed her beyond the simple things to get her as strong as possible during the stay. We had chosen this facility because of friends experiences there with family members. I would highly recommend it to anyone I know as well. I spent a significant amount of time with my wife at this facility and saw how they operate first hand. Of course there were occasional hiccups when the staff was busy at meal times but overall it was as best we could expect. Thanks to everyone there for making a difficult necessity a wonderful and effective experience.

My mother-in-law went to the Gardens Of Bellaire for rehabilitation right out of the hospital. We…read morewere very happy with the rehabilitation side of the facility. When she had completed her rehabilitation or shall we say our insurance would stop paying for it, we decided to go for into the memory care unit of the Gardens Of Bellaire. What a mistake. There was a woman on my mother-in-law's floor who would always come into my mother-in-law's room and lay down in her bed. None of the staff did anything permanent to stop the problem, even though we complained constantly. About an hour before every meal they would cram everyone into a tiny TV room so that they could get everything ready for the meal. Literally wheelchairs were almost on top of each other. The general manager Jackie, was very rude and showed that she cared very little For those of been placed in her care. The nurses were very nice and that is the only good thing I can say about this facility. The good things that I observed about Bellaire Gardens are the following. The folks in assisted living looked very happy! Since my mother-in-law was in memory care she did not get to interact with these residents. I did however see them and speak with them and was told that the food was good. I also observed that the activities director was very engaging and that many of the assisted living residents participated in the various activities,. I noted they were especially happy when Bellaire Air Gardens brought in musicians and singers to entertain! I had a sense, that everyone in the assisted-living program, was one big happy family!

The Com For Care located on Oyster Bay St in Sugarland does not keep their promises and will let…read moreyour loved one die while suffering. The caregiver is the only positive thing about this company and the kitchen was clean, other than that: HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. As a hospice RN, I can honestly say that they broke many guidelines and DEFINITELY did not provide appropriate end of life of care for my father. No pain medication for a dying person who could barely speak with a broken hip is not only a hospice guideline violation but it's inhumane. The hospice provider is GENCARE Hospice. RUN!!!! I was assured of updates, as well as promised that I would be given enough time to come be with my father so he would not die alone. I was notified 1 hr and 40 mins after he passed. He was receiving a "bed bath" when he passed. Any decent and compassionate hospice provider would have respected my requests that he not be moved unless absolutely necessary - because he screamed at the top of his lungs in pain. When I requested that he be given pain medications, at the very least, before they repositioned him, the hospice nurse justified not doing this by saying, "You know that no matter what we give him, he's still going to scream. A broken hip hurts". WHAT? I was blown away. I've never heard a more ridiculous answer in my 32 years as a nurse. Oh really? Then why wasn't he getting medicated regularly? She finally agreed to medicate him before moving him-which I have zero faith that she did. In hospice, a good nurse can tell when a patient is "active" which means the patient has hours -maybe days to live. No one there could tell that. I showed a video and photos of my father to MD friends and the owners of the hospice I work for and they were appalled. He was breathing 32/min... a clear sign of distress and screamed when I touched his head. All of my coworkers said he was "active" at that time. Not the Com for Care owner and certainly not his horrible hospice RN could see that. Every human being deserves to die pain free and with dignity. Do not trust this home with your family member and DEFINITELY DO NOT USE GENCARE hospice- unless you want your family member to suffer.

We did a lot of research and spoke with a number of places. We were also in the midst of some extremely difficult health issues with other family. We have been so pleased with the care our parents receive at Com For Care. The staff is positive and thorough and stable. The stability in a business of high turnover is highly unusual and a reflection of the long history of Com for Care and Ann's leadership. There really is not a comparable place that we have seen or even heard of. Our lives were changed once we moved our loved ones to Com for Care.

Then I was brave. enough to have a third visit, that was a mistake, my doctor had ordered some bloodwork 4 days before my visit yet they were unaware of it. This was to be a weekly test so now had to wait 2-3 weeks to get blood work. Though when the main office saw the lab orders they called me to advise me that they didn't draw this type of test. No reason was given just that I HAD TO CALL THE DOCTOR OFFICE, I felt that they were discriminated against because of the tests that were ordered, just shows how there is still so much ignorance. After this I had had enough I terminated the contract. If you end up with this agency I suggest you run as far as you can.

From the owner: Welcome to Reach Home Health…read more Reach is an established home health agency. Our organization was developed in response to patients who needed assistance with health care and personal needs and wished to remain in an independent living environment. We provide a cost-effective alternative to skilled care by utilizing highly trained caregivers as an integral part of our healthcare delivery system. Starting with a thorough evaluation by a Registered Nurse (RN) Case Manager, we determine the patient's health status and medical/personal care needs. The RN will determine if the patient's needs can be met by an unlicensed caregiver based on the stability of the patient's status, the nature of the tasks, and the training of the caregiver. The RN will develop a plan of care for the patient including the frequency of supervision required.
