Google says, to be an antique, the item has to be a 100 years old or older. Not sure how many actual antiques you'll find in Hoover's but you make your way through this large space, selecting things you plan to purchase, and pay for all of your doodads at a central cash wrap at the front of the store. Cash and/or credit cards accepted. Like many flea markets, thrift stores, vintage shops--prices have gotten high. You definitely need to set a price you're willing to pay for something and walk away if it's over your budget. A couple of booths were offering 50% off the marked price. I scored a few bargains. Whether you buy anything or not, there's lots to look at and you can fill a few leisurely hours. I wish the staff working the front desk would be more careful with items they ring-up and wrap-up for customers. Items are carefully chosen throughout the mall and one clank on the cash wrap counter and the item is chipped. I've observed this is a common occurrence at other businesses, like Hoover's, too. I haven't been to an antique store in a long time, so I wasn't sure what they were going to have for sale. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had row after row of really cool stuff. Some stuff was antiques, and some of their items were unique items that you wouldn't find anywhere else. They had a little bit of everything. Jewelry, dishes, music, movie memorabilia, old toys you haven't seen in years, Native American art, concert memorabilia, and much more. You have got to check this store out! I'm sure you will find something that catches your eye that you want to buy. I actually ended up buying and old Coke picture to hang on the wall in my garage. All sales are made at one central cash wrap area up front. The place is laid out in an organized manner. There were some bargains to be had if you know your stuff. I am almost certain re-sellers on eBay or Etsy would have a difficult time finding much to resell because average prices on things were already inflated.
