Google says, to be an antique, the item has to be a 100 years old or older. Not sure how many actual antiques you'll find in Hoover's but you make your way through this large space, selecting things you plan to purchase, and pay for all of your doodads at a central cash wrap at the front of the store. Cash and/or credit cards accepted. Like many flea markets, thrift stores, vintage shops--prices have gotten high. You definitely need to set a price you're willing to pay for something and walk away if it's over your budget. A couple of booths were offering 50% off the marked price. I scored a few bargains. Whether you buy anything or not, there's lots to look at and you can fill a few leisurely hours. I wish the staff working the front desk would be more careful with items they ring-up and wrap-up for customers. Items are carefully chosen throughout the mall and one clank on the cash wrap counter and the item is chipped. I've observed this is a common occurrence at other businesses, like Hoover's, too. Next door houses more collectibles, kitchen, children's clothing, books, dvds, etc. The clothing side is cleaner and better merchandised than the hard goods space. Each store has their own entrance but they are the same business. There are a few bargains to be found but you have to look thoroughly. All merchandise is donated, yet thrift stores nowadays price merchandise much higher than they did years ago. Thrifting has become trendy and the thrift stores are taking advantage of it.

Fortunately, it is not a home. It is a sporting good store, focusing on hunting and shooting sports essentials. Every freaking inch, every cubby hole, every nook and cranny are packed with hunting and sporting supplies, firearms and archery equipment. Everything you can think of. Stuff you need, stuff you don't need and stuff that you think you need because you saw it in this month's hunting magazine. Shop Local. Fair prices. I had never done business with the store until today. I found a great buy on a rifle, online at Sportsman's Warehouse. Just as a test, I called Bill's to see if they had one. The answer I got was expected. No. I asked if they could order and match the price. The answer was YES. A quick drive to Claremore and I put it on order. And while perusing the endless shelves packed with goodies, I found some black powder necessaries. Oh, by the way in case my wife askes, this falls under the category of "stuff I need."
