I didn't have time to look at everything because I got there a few minutes before closing. I did get a nice necklace ($6) and a small artificial flower arrangement for 2.00. I wasted time looking at the pants since there is no dressing room. Their clothes prices are very low though. The store is organized and looks nice. read more

Loved my shopping trip here! The prices were continually great for all the items in the store. Shirts $2, pants $3, random house wears were 0.50-$10 depending on the item. I got a massive heavy mirror for $15. The store was so well organized and clean! I was able to get my son in his large stroller through the store no problem. The workers were kind and polite. I felt safe there. No carts are available but they do have baskets and a holding station. There wasn't a dressing room. They do have a restroom. Large variety of items! And some nice furniture as well. read more

Omgoodness! This is the nicest thrift store I have ever been to! The prices are very reasonable. The store is organized. Everything is clean and aesthetically displayed. The employees are very friendly and helpful, and the store is huge! The selection was impressive. They had things at this store that I've been looking for forever! I shopped for over an hour and probably could have walked through again and saw things I didn't notice the first time around. I will definitely return to Turning Point Thrift Store the next time I'm in Tulsa. read more

Established in 2016.

Having a Thrift Store as a funding source for the Loaves & Fishes grocery assistance ministry has been a long time dream of our founder, Milo Reno. In March of 2016 we started with two (2) 10' x 20' storage facilities that we quickly filled and in May of 2016 we moved into a 4500 sq ft warehouse. We expanded in our current building in 2021 to a 7000 sq ft salesfloor.

Now Scott. the owner also maintains an Etsy store and I assume probably one on Istgrift too as well given his price structure. He also maintains a website. . So I messaged him on his website directly about a certain piece that I wanted that was the exact dimensions that I needed. He really had no interest in helping me. I said what is your price with shipping and I did not ask for a discount. He says I'm not currently discounting THAT piece and shipping to Fort Worth will be $390 plus tax. And I was like well then I consider coming up to pick it up if it is in your store ?.. no it's in storage. $1700. I guess it's not a big enough sale for this guy. But after reading the reviews in here and how he denied a girl in a wheelchair access to his store, I think the guy is an A1 A hole. I'd skip this one. And I certainly wouldn't make the drive a third time from Fort Worth to go see him.

What seemed to start as a good choice in moving our family member's household items in order to…read morehelp with facility care costs quickly degraded. When our items were picked up we saw the furniture handled with great care. I did have a concern because reading the itemized receipt of items taken revealed that not all our items were listed. I immediately called to clear this up and was assured that when the truck arrived back a full inventory would be made as it was unloaded. This was in September 2023. Thru a series of emails requesting info on the sale of our items, I was informed of delays due to numerous reasons: illness, a "rushed medical" auction, a family death. All these were relayed as reasons why our things were not fully processed. I did follow Southside's Facebook page and did see the majority of our items pictured in the auction offerings for a few weeks after our things were taken. I went to pick up a check in October I think, but saw a lamp of ours still on the display floor and was told that some items were not sold yet but auctions would continue until all our items cleared. I did continue to send emails asking about 6-7 specific items remaining. I was asked for my phone number so either David or Dan could call me. I sent my phone number, but never received a call. Finally, in December I learned we had our last check ready and went to pick it up. As it was being handed to me I asked about the few items still unaccounted for. BIG MISTAKE! What followed were loud, with expletives, accusations about me. Apparently I was obnoxious with queries about our goods, a troublemaker and a bully. I am a 5 ft tall woman and this barrage towards me came from a man nearly the size of a mountain. I was shocked to say the very least. I was yelled at for thinking they can keep an account of every item that they auction. I was told one specific item I asked about "sold for $10 and was worth nothing and meant nothing". I replied that when the family member is trying to pay for nursing home care every dollar helps. I was told many of our items were gathered and sold in a "lot" of items and told I was ridiculous to expect they could account for every item "sold in a lot". (When our items were picked up it was mentioned that some framed art would likely be sold "in a lot"...but never did he say we would not receive the money from those items.) As the yelling from the mountain man continued he finally swore at me and said he was done with me and called over the "owner" to "handle" me. This man came asking about the ruckus and I was introduced as "the biggest troublemaker". I still said my own name and thanked him for coming over and calmly said we were just trying to pick up our current check and find out when the rest of our things might be completed. I mentioned the lamp I had seen still on the floor when getting our first check, to which the mountain man again exploding about "how many lamps they auction and what made me think that was mine?!" Then, I mentioned a very distinctive antique desk which mountain man denied but the second man said , "oh is that yours?" Yes. He said someone tried to lowball them on it but he refused to sell it so low. I said, every dollar helps our family member and was told it would be sold soon. I left with the check picked up that day. I've never heard back from Southside again about the desk or any other items. My advice if you use Southside to sell your items is to not get caught up in the flurry of activity where he walks thru choosing what he will take to auction, without making your own list of ALL your items. And, do take pics of all your items. I sent the list of missing items, I sent pictures. My BEST advice however is to choose a different company. I've heard for decades about the great bargains for buyers attending their auctions. But, from our vantage point they dropped a huge ball on their follow-through on the consignors end of the auction experience.

I have always been satisfied with the quality and price of purchased items. Everyone working there has always been honest, knowledgeable and respectful, and at times the auctioneer has been downright hilarious. Attending auctions is not for everyone. You must pay attention as items are being sold and understand a bit of the terminology used.

This is not the place to go shopping for unique clothes. Let me tell you the reasons I think this thrift store rates five stars for me personally. One. The incredible amount of product turnover. Things (usually furniture) are coming in the back door all the time throughout the day. I've seen people literally sit by the door in chairs and watch things come in so they can pounce on them. Don't these people have jobs? The second reason is the prices. So many thrift stores are overpriced and not much below new retail. This thrift store has lots of product and has to move it so they keep their prices low. Nothing is priced so you ask the front desk for costs. This is a super fast and easy process. If you get a large item like filing cabinets, couches etc. they can deliver it to you for a small fee depending on where you live. And lastly the friendliness of staff here is the best I've seen around. Every employee that I've passed either say good morning smile or ask if you need help. I really enjoy this store. Tip the more things in your basket the more of a discount try not to buy just one thing if possible.
