Needed to replace a 20 yr. old dying hot water heater. After extensive research I decided to go with a Bradford White (BW) replacement. Their hot water heaters are manufactured in the USA and have excellent reviews. Then I learned that they must be installed by a BW qualified plumber. More research led to Dewayne Holder who was also recommended by Kieth AirConditioning as one of "two of the best plumbers" in Marshall, Texas and known for their honesty. A recommendation like that from Keith AC in Marshall is "top of the line", the very best! Dewayne lived up to his reputation. He is modest, polite, and professional. He drained, disconnected and disposed of the old tank quickly, cleaned the tank closet, installed a rectangular water pan made specifically to fit beneath the new tank in the closet. It was a perfect fit! Dewayne then installed the new tank, tested it and made sure that everything was working to specifications. He helped me complete the warranty (with a 4 year extension to 10 year coverage) working with BWs' Warranty Department on-line. In a relatively short period of time we had a new working hot water heater up and running! He then re-sealed a troublesome, leaking commode, and stabilized and reinforced a loose drain pipe under our kitchen sink to prevent further leaking. He cleaned everything as he worked! All said, it was a good day! Dewayne got a lot accomplished and his bill was very reasonable. If you live in East Texas in the Longview, Tyler, Shreveport, Marshall - Jefferson areas, we highly recommend Dewayne Holder Plumbing...and also Bradford White hot water heaters and related equipment. My fault for not checking out, or I would have seen his violation on the State licensing site, which would have made me think more. I marked where I wanted washer/dryer in permanent marker 3" X. He forgot that and much more. It was more convenient for him to use a plumb wall than do wat I wanted and clearly marked. When I designed buildings, this was the way we did it unless requested. Afterwards, he said he wanted to keep his helpers busy since he was just starting. He said he would teach them to put up drywall. I told him they could practice on my structure with me paying for all material and providing fans, etc. It was a horrible hack job. I had to pay someone else to fix the 4" gaps at the ceiling they left. Afterwards, he had the gall to charge me over full price although there was nothing agreed upon. He originally said he gave prices up front which was just another lie. He strategically showed up during the work day when I was away from the house to push my wife into paying him. As her safety was/is the most important, I said "Give him cash, get him out and I'm on my way." I should have seen the signs. Like this one, the worst usually talk about how they are doing some sort of ministry, which of course never materializes. If the talk about how much they're doing for God, they're usually in the opposite corner. Personal and professional zero! Read less
