They came out in a really timely fashion and did a thorough inspection, but were unable to locate a problem and were more than fair on the bill. I had questions and was able to speak with Brian. He clarified some things regarding the generator and we also talked about "what ifs???" He was kind and patient and took his time with me. Five stars for just that. ***** I went with Blackhawk Electric & Generators because they helped me understand what I was purchasing and the service I will be provided. I went with a 18kw generator and they supplied the EMP shields that I additionally wanted installed. I didn't have any doubts that I made the right decision with product and company. Installation day was flawless. They arrived on time and went to work. These guys know what they are doing and know how to effectively communicate with each other and the homeowner. They are amazing and you will be a happy homeowner too.

He did everything he could to clear the drain, but the clog was further in the pipe than his equipment could reach. So he didn't charge me! Electric doctor called the day before the installation date and stated that the parts were still in Chicago. Mind you I booked this way in advance and they cashed my check deposit. So no one called me for a follow up so I called back and told exact words it's not their fault they can t control shipping. Mind you I was a little upset and stated well if you had good customer service you would go pickup the parts as they are only in Chicago. I was then told I was being rude...wait this gets better. My husband calls today September 22nd as they did not have the courtesy to give us an update and wait for it...now they tell us the parts are in Canada after my husband was going to drive and pickup the parts in Chicago. I understand shipping but I booked in advance as I wanted my husband home and I took an extra day off from work and still no date of when the installation will take place and no apologies. They act like I am being difficult. In summary great service up front but follow up is horrible. Very rude and disrespectful office staff one in particular. Contacting the BBB.

I gave them a $10,000 check 7 weeks ago and so far I have nothing at all but excuses blaming Ameren and non delivery of materials. I definitely do not have a functioning solar panel system as they said I would 3 weeks ago. I was told that I am difficult to deal with because I am upset that they have my money and instead of a finished and functioning solar panel system I have a bunch of wasted time and who knows if I'll ever get my money back. I wholeheartedly discourage anyone and everyone from doing any business with this organization unfortunately. I will probably have to hire an attorney to get my money back but I will sue them for breach of contract and more. they also made it very clear that they were going to tear up my yard during the install and they didn't care about it getting repaired that it wasn't their problem. Unfortunately I take great pride in my yard and the fact that they were adamant about their desire to tear it up clearly was upsetting. they decided to cancel my project because I was upset and they didn't even bother to tell me so on the day that some materials were allegedly supposed to be delivered when nothing got delivered I texted to inquire and they told me that the project was canceled. That's how they told me. Super Classy! Run for your lives from this organization!
