I love how adventures this trip was. Our guide Shannon and Wolf were wonderful. They were helpful and pleasant. Especially wolf! He was so pleasant and energetic as your best cup of morning coffee :) Unfortunately I will have to give 1 star for our experience, given the fact that the trip almost killed me and my husband. First of all, we were very nervous when we were signing up. I told the lady in the office that it was my first time doing snowmobile. I asked specific questions like the difficulty level and safety. She was very general in her answers. She kept telling me that it would be fun. It's very safe and easy. O well if I had known that we had to conquer the whole mountain, I would have not signed up for it. From her answers, I thought it was a designated slope/ park that the company had rented. It explained why our guide Shannon was concerned the next day when we got on the tour. He repeated himself multiple times on the safety instructions and I could sense he was worried. Now I know exactly why!! Secondly, our snowmobile did a barrel roll at the top of mountain. Thankfully we did not roll off the cliff, which we almost did! It could have been prevented if the guide had made it optional for beginners. It was a pretty tall and narrow slope at the peak of the mountain. It would have been safer if the instructor had beginners walk up the slope to enjoy the view and the advanced bikers do whatever they want. The slope was so tricky that it cause our snowmobile to flip. What made the experience worse was after the guides helped us get up from the ground, the first thing Shannon said was: ' you didn't lean!' It made me feel that he was pushing the blame as quickly as possible. Yes we probably didn't lean enough because it was our first time riding this. But the guide should have made this last 'lean' optional knowing how serious the consequence could have been at the top of the mountain! I would highly recommend this company and this trip if you are an advanced rider. If you are the first time rider. Thank twice. read more

I initially booked a tour for 12/27 and it turned out there was a storm that day, with high speed winds and an avalanche warning, so obviously the tour didn't happen that day. But, we were able to easily rebook the tour for the next day, which was a beautiful, blue bird day! The scenery was beautiful and our tour guides, Ronan and Billy, were super fun and knowledgeable. We were a family of 8. Four adults and four kids ages 6, 7, 9, & 12. Everyone had a blast. We rode through heavy snow fall which made it more adventurous. Along with your water proof jacket, pants and boots, I recommend a full face mask. Our faces were burning with the cold wind and snow. The tour guides were amazing and on point, doing frequent head counts to make sure that no one went off track. Listen to their tips and tricks on staying out of tree wells, it's so important and will keep you safe! The first hand sightseeing was breathtaking, the wilderness covered in white powdered snow... This weekend's snowmobile adventure was a family highlight of our entire year. This company is well outfitted in equipment and machines and the staff is superb. Someone gets stuck? Help is a radio call away. It was impressive. Big group (we secured the last 2 doubles available so be aware it sells out) but we were broken into smaller groups and the adventure was legit. I've been on many snowmobile tours and any time there's been a rider or riders who were not able to keep up with the entire group, the trailing guide would take on the responsibility of making sure that these riders would not slow down the group. However, the trailing guide was not familiar with the course and therefore unable to take care of the one rider who caused the group to continously stop throughout the entire tour. It's very upsetting to spend that much money when the guides were not prepared for such a common occurrence. The person in question rolled her snowmobile twice and was a danger to herself. The guides should have taken charge. read more

I highly recommend this experience! The guides were so welcoming and really focused on our safety while still making sure we had fun. During the tour you get to ride along the snowy trails for a while and then they open up to a large meadow where you are free to ride around and take pictures. We also went to a pretty high peak where you could see an almost panoramic view of the mountains. Through the whole tour I felt like my safety was being put first and although driving a snowmobile was not easy, especially at first, I never felt rushed or pushed into anything. We had a great time. The guides were great handling all issues that arose with our group. It was a great tour. The scenery was beautiful and we were able to really cruise and explore the back country. We also spent about 20 minutes racing around a meadow at our leisure. The only negative is that our group had about 18 snowmobiles. I would think that they would have smaller groups. We had to stop about 3 or 4 times waiting for some of the group to catch up. We had a great group snowmobile tour. Everyone was very delightful and helpful from getting us outfitted in gear to helping us along the track. This was my husbands first time and let's say he's a little bit of a daredevil when I on the other hand like speed but want to keep the wheels on the ground. It was fun for both of us. Whether you are a beginner or more experienced the group tour allowed you to go fast and furious or take it easy. I was worried we would get bored on the group tour but that was definitely not the case. Additionally, one member of our party lost his gloves on the way (don't ask no idea how that happened) and the guide graciously gave our friend his gloves. So nice and he definitely didn't need to do that. They definitely went above and beyond. Thanks again! We had a blast. read more

We had a GREAT time on the tour for our family of five on three snowmobiles. The trip up the hill was beautiful as the trees were covered with snow. The views from up high were amazing. But, the best part of all was the meadow that we got to play in. The machines were fast, the snow was soft and we had about a half hour to test our skills to the max. I've been on tours where you putt putt along...this was NOT the case. Our guide, Max, was a really, really great guy and, while keeping us safe, he let us play to our hearts content. Having spent a week at Squaw, with good snow, I can honestly say this was the highlight of the week for all 5 of us!!! read more

As a family of four, who love nature, ride dirt bikes, don't like crowds, and enjoy everything about the outdoors, this was such a perfect experience for our first time on snowmobiles. Our guide, Wolf, was so accommodating to our needs: wild males who are accustomed to sliding out on motorcycles but not used to muscling snowmobiles out of a snowdrift, a family who wants to ride in the powder through trees that includes a Mom (me) who has less skill and much less testosterone . What a great way to end a beautiful weekend in Tahoe. My partner and I went to Tahoe for the weekend at the last minute when a friend had extra spots in his cabin. Needless to say with a few hours to prepare, and not having touched snow for years, I didn't have much time to get organized for the weekend. The first day there, looking for something to do besides skiing on day two, I yelped snowmobile rental and saw this small place that had a couple 5-star reviews. We get to the location in Truckee, attached to a Mexican restaurant, just after 10:00 am. The person on the phone said get there around 10, but no need to be there before. Well, when we get there everyone else is ready to go so we hurriedly sign the waivers and pick out a helmet. We get outside, go to our car (which we had mistakenly parked in the back instead of the front) and when we exit the parking lot to follow, everyone is gone. Fortunately, the other guy quickly got in his truck and led us to the location, near Squaw Valley. Reading other Yelp reviews, this is not the first time something like this has happened. This is the only reason I am taking one star off. Don't get me wrong- everyone was very friendly, but given that this issue is recurring, they need to tweak their system a bit or at least give you a map to self-navigate to the staging area. When we get there, the guides (two different people from the first two), were very friendly, helpful, professional and safety-minded. The perfect sunny day with powder everywhere helped make the experience magical , but these guys were great. They took us to some bonus spots as well to really take advantage of the powder. They take you up a small mountain with several stops where you get amazing views of Northstar. I was wowed. A lot of the experience wasn't just groomed trails, but smaller trails through the wilderness. This is a part of Tahoe I would never see unless I got good enough to backcountry ski or in-shape enough to cross-country ski. Two hours was plenty and it seemed like three. I highly recommend doing this at least once. If you are up multiple days, it is a good way to take a break from skiing to allow your muscles to recover for the next day. Thanks again guys! read more
