I opted for a Oreo cream filling ice cream with Oreos mixed in. It has been my go to for years, and I never get tired of it! She got gotta love it size marble cake batter ice cream with brownies and caramel in a waffle cone. Shocker it was to big to finish. In part because the store itself was kind of sad that day: empty, 'chain-y' and sterile. The employee who helped me was nice but definitely in a hurry and having an off day. He only came out from the back when I got to the register and disappeared as soon as I paid. It's still cool to see the ice cream being mixed with other ingredients on the cold stone, though not as artful or cool as watching ice cream being rolled. It's still definitely nicer to eat ingredients which were recently mixed into ice cream, especially when it comes to cake pieces, rather than pre-blended mixes. I called the store right away, they told me they could not redo my order for pickup (which is what I really wanted) but they assured me I would get a refund. I purchased what I thought to be a peanut/tree nut free Cookies and Creamery Cake to find out that the ice cream filling was filled with chunks of Reese pieces in both layers. We selected this cake for my daughter's birthday and checked the ingredients carefully only to discover after one bite that is could have caused her a direct trip to the ER. Her lips tingled and her throat was very scratchy and irritated. We spent the evening watching her carefully hoping to avoid taking her the ER in fear of Covid-19 exposure. The manager Gerri denied several times that there could be Reeses in this cake. I assured her and told her that would bring the cake in to show her. Even though she was quick to make the order, she wasn't friendly, no smile, nothing. A simple smile and "How may I help you" or "How are you doing tonight" goes a long way these days in the world of customer service. Other than the product being decent, the experience as a whole is pretty bad. The only thing I found disturbing was the fact that the store has NO a/c and that the manager/store owner would expect their employees to work in those conditions.
