Electrical issues, windows, plumbing leaks, pot lights falling out of the ceiling. Have followed up on warranty issues monthly to no avail. And, sadly, this is the least of my issues with Martell Home Builders! We purchased 2 sides of a semi and requested one PID and made quite clear the home would be a rental property. The owner even personally recommended flooring choices that were durable and easy clean for tenants! But once we took possession of the property, they erased all evidence of our communications re:income properties off of their server and filed for a tax credit of $5500 - which is solely intended for owner occupied properties. We are now stuck with this bill, plus back interest, as they lied to the CRA and said they thought we lived in the home! The most shady business practices I've ever experienced. The lies, the runaround, the lies. Oh, and the lack of quality. I've had less issues with my 100 year old home than I've had with my new build! Please don't fall for the glossy marketing, iPad apps, smart cars, and fake salespeople who come to your dinner parties (and then lie to your face!) - home builders in Moncton are a dime a dozen and there's no reason to pay more for Martell's brand "customer service" unless you'd like to support a grease ball.
