Hands down the best!…read more From the moment you walk in, you can feel the welcoming, creative energy. The community here is supportive, friendly, and full of inspiration. One of the best parts of joining as a member is the extra attention and guidance you receive from the owner, Patty--she takes time during your first week to review your goals and special projects, which makes such a difference. The classes are outstanding -- and affordable! You can explore everything from making handles, soy sauce vessels, and teapots to learning how to throw larger pieces. The class sizes are never too packed, so you actually get personal attention while still learning in a relaxed, fun group environment. Whether you're learning centering, trimming, or glazing techniques, the instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and patient. I've learned more here in a few weeks than I did in months elsewhere. They even offer "field" trips where we've gone and done raku and pit fire. It's a great group. Full Circle Pottery truly lives up to its name -- it's a place where your creativity, skills, and community all come full circle.

My husband and I took a semi private class here on a weekend, I forget if it was Saturday or Sunday…read moremorning, but we each paid $80 and had a two hour class. Our teacher, Megs was great, but could have explained the process a bit better. She more showed us and had us follow by example, sometimes jumping in and taking over for us when things got out of hand, like our clay being totally off center and wobbling horribly on the electric wheel. We both made two ceramic pieces, but had to pay an additional $10 each to have those fired in the kiln. The $80 we paid covered the one piece we were allowed and the extra $10 was for the additional piece we made that we requested to be fired in the kiln. I didn't like how we couldn't come back and fix up our pieces, like sand it down and glaze it. I was really looking forward to glazing our pieces, but we could only look at a wall full of color choices and write ours down to have it painted by someone else and fired. Full-Circle said they would call us in about a month to come pick it up. It's been a month, and they did just email us to pick up our pieces, showing us a photo of both of ours. Unfortunately, we couldn't pick it up before Hanukkah, and my husband wanted to gift his mom a handmade ceramic piece, but it wasn't done in time. We really like how close the studios is to our home. We could have walked there but left the house late that morning, so we drove. We got lunch at the taco place next door afterwards. We had free street parking that day so it must have been a Sunday. We enjoyed our pottery class and would pay to be members, but it's too expensive, so a single class will do for now.

Amber made the class really fun and approachable--she's incredibly knowledgeable but explains everything in a way that makes you feel comfortable, even if it's your first time touching clay. The studio itself is beautiful--clean, welcoming, and just a really cute, inspiring space to create in. You can tell a lot of thought went into the vibe of the place. It made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this class for anyone looking to try something new, have a fun date, or just get creative. We'll definitely be back!

For me, this was always the hardest part, and with it being the first and most crucial step, I figured pottery just wasn't for me. I decided to try it again, thinking, "Okay, third time is a charm!" I can confirm that luck was on my side today! Ruey, the instructor, was able to explain and demonstrate how to cone and compress the clay in such a comprehensible, beginner-friendly way, I was almost embarrassed I hadn't understood it until then! I can't wait to come back and take another class! Such a good price for the knowledge and confidence I gained!

My favorite exhibits were the Decaying Dice, Tell The Bees, and Cat's Cradle. Partner really enjoyed the architecture-focused set of exhibits. A bit crowded in the exhibits near the entrance, but the crowd thins out the further you walk into the museum. If the jumble of information I presented in this review confuses you, then I would recommend that you visit the museum. It's immersive in the sense that I feel as though I traveled to many different worlds just by walking from room to room in a large house. I would certainly visit again if I was in the area.

It's one of those weird niche museums you just gotta walk through and experience. It's a little bit of history, a little bit of histrionics, some gorgeous displays to walk thru, interesting bits to read, and an interesting collection for sure. My favorite part was their little garden with a few special birds. Such a peaceful and cute area, with tea offered at special times! What a nice touch. It's only open Thursday to Sunday with a $15 entrance fee and reserving a time in advance is best, so plan accordingly. For me, it was an interesting place to pop into once but I don't see myself coming back again~ nor would I bring out of town guests. I like quirky and weird - i AM quirky and weird - but just felt confused when I left.
