From the very beginning, the staff went above and beyond. They were incredibly courteous and very accommodating to my entire cast and crew, which made the logistics of our production run incredibly smoothly. Beyond the exceptional service, the property is an absolute visual treasure. It is a truly unique Victorian mansion with an aesthetic so distinct and captivating that it became a character in and of itself on camera. I highly recommend Sunny Gables to any creatives looking for a breathtaking location with a team that truly supports the production process.

But overall, the owners really went out of their way to help make my event beautiful and memorable and my guests are still raving about this special house. In addition, the musical equipment (piano, drums, speakers, amps) were a real plus for my party of mostly musicians. I'm very grateful to have found Sunny Gables for my event and highly recommend it for filming, photo shoots and private parties.

Wicked Lit! Went…read morelast year for the first time and then twice this year to see both Production A (The Unnameable, the Chimes, and Cask of Amontillado) and Production B **new** (Casting the Runes, A Ghost Story, and The Body Snatcher). I brought a bunch of people with me to see Production A this year. It was amazing as always... Note to newcomers - if you are meeting people at the event, make sure that all members of your group receive the same color sticker on their program. You want to stay together in the same group. Also note that they have coffee, hot apple juice (which they insist on calling cider), and a few candy bars. $2 each or 2 items for $3. Bring cash, a jacket as you will be outside for a time, and comfortable shoes for walking and standing for short periods. The plays are immersive as you walk following the characters and story progression through the creepy and eeriliy lit long hallways of the mausoleum... and through the cemetery across the street. Most of the acting is great. Last night was unusual because they had BOTH productions going on at the same time. I was concerned that we would be running into each other in the corridors and we would lose the integrity of the individual plays with competing noise in the background. They actually handled it really well and there was only about 5 minutes when I was distracted by noise from another play. Production B was very good for the most part. I will not forget the images from Casting the Runes and The Body Snatcher. The Ghost Story however, started out GREAT but then the second half was kind of ridiculous. What annoyed me most was the fact that because it wasn't as long as the other plays and they all had to end at the same time, the guide read us "The Raven" as we walked back. Now, I take my Poe seriously and want it done right or not at all. This guy read it from the folder, lost his place a few times, used a voice that I assume was supposed to be funny (and wasn't). It just wasn't done well. If they HAD to fill up that time, (and I hope they read this review) they should have the poem read at the original site and read seriously by someone who can do it properly... by candlelight... with some thunder, rain, and lightning in the background. I was not only disappointed, but mad that it had been done so poorly. I could have read it better (and not from a folder). All in all, it's still a Halloween favorite and the location is fantastic and used well.

Yes there is a whole new world out there with so much more to offer. I had the opportunity to stay 4 nights where people call it glamping in a cabin. There are full bathrooms. Pay one set fee and you have unlimited usage to wetsuits (long/short), snorkeling gear, paddle boards, kayaks, life vests, towels and etc. Sailboats and charters boats are with appointments but included as well. My favorites are wall/pole/relay climbing and ziplining. For those who just wants to lay low with laptop (WiFi avail) or read a book that is available as well. Hiking all levels available and basketball/tennis courts. Let's not forget the delicious meal service 4 times a day. It is quality buffet style food plus a happy hour every night. Definitely more than enough food that keeps you going for extreme long days. Sounds like never ending activities ...yes theres so much I can't even remember like cooking classes, astronomy nights, talent show, s'mores night and I can just go on but I'm running out of time. It's a must visit.

There was a strong, unpleasant odor throughout the area due to the compost. The number of bees, yellow jackets, and hornets made the environment feel unsafe, especially since the cabins did not have proper doors--only weighted sheets that allowed insects to enter. Overall, I would not recommend this camp based on these conditions. I was told that they deleted 1 star reviews

Even if there's an issue with equipment, they're quick to come help with it. The restrooms can be hit or miss, I wish they took a little better care but honestly can't complain and maybe it's cuz I always book for the very end of the night lol. Another small thing is the drummers have to bring basically half of a drum kit (cymbals, Snare, & kick pedal **all of which you can rent from summit for a decent price incase you forgot) which can be a pain sometimes but Other than that, not much to complain about besides the hours!! I wish they could stay open late on weekends but they only open till 8 which is understandable, can't complain! Decent parking, right off the 210 freeway, solid gear, big ass rooms, very solid pricing, very friendly staff!!! What else can you ask for right?!?!? The only other studio that kinda compares is AMP In NoHo but they got stinky mics, staff can be weird, getting to the parking lot is literally like a maze and their gear has shit on us multiple times. So big shout out to summit!!! Love going here and will continue to support as long as I am physically capable of playing drums, bass and guitar!!!!!

I want to give Spartan five stars for so many reasons …read more. Let's start off by saying that we initially booked our camp for the summer of 2020, right before COVID hit. We had experienced issues with other camp who we ended up having to dispute with credit card company to get a refund, but NOT with Spartan. They issued refund when we requested it, problem solved. Comes 2021, we were ready to try again. Booked 2 weeks, then my son broke his arm on the first day of summer. Called the owner and explained what happened and she was ready to issue a full refund, but I asked for credit instead. Finally, this year! My son went for two weeks and loved it! We had signed him up for other camps, surfing camp, Steve & Kate, all were fun and good, but he said this was by far his favorite, and asked that we only send him to Spartan next year. I like how they rotate them through different sports/activities each day (I think 9 total), and he came home everyday dirty, sweaty, exhausted but HAPPY! He said he learned new sports, and made new friends. I also really appreciate that they have the store card option available each week you can purchase, so they have $20 they can spend at their little snack shop (without having to send them to camp with cash), and can be used towards Kona Ice on certain days. I think that is a great way for kids to learn to manage their budget and feel independent. Last but not least, at the end of the week, they send pictures and video (included it the registration) to all the campers so we get to see all the fun stuff they did that week! Overall, if you have a kid who loves to spend time outdoor, playing sports, staying busy, I would highly recommend Spartan. The drop off and pick up is super easy. Although sometimes the line might seem long, but it goes fairly quick and I've never waited more than 5-10 mins to drop off/pick up. Counselors were also very friendly and energetic!
