Well in all the turmoil of the financial markets and the confusion surrounding mortgage and refi…read morerules I decided it would be a great idea to refi my house in this mess. I would have been up poo creek without a paddle if it weren't for the team at Family Mortgage of Georgia. www.familyga.com These guys were extremely helpful through the entire month long process. I wasn't even sure I would be able to refi to a 15 year due to the state of the housing market and falling home values but they gave me tons of counseling (for free) back in 2008 and they advised me not to even spend the $400.00 on an appraisal since it wouldn't come back in my favor. Well, a year later I emailed them once again and we ran the numbers together. They said it would be close, but it was worth going to the next step...spending money on an appraisal. Once the appraisal came back it was only a matter of paperwork and patience. The level of communication and professionalism from the team at FMOG was amazing and I will use them again for future refi's or home purchases.

AMAZING TEAMWORK. This company did an AMAZING job helping me with buying my very first house. I…read morehonestly went into the process with no knowledge of what was needed or how any of it would go. Nevertheless, they immediately made me feel like I was not only taken care of but also cared for. I was also finishing up planning my wedding and had the closing date set for the day before my wedding. Whenever I told people this they were shocked and said that I must be so stressed and frantic, but it was quite the opposite. The Family Mortgage Team was beyond helpful and patient with me. From start to finish, they were incredibly professional both in their emails and their phone calls. Whenever they needed some info from me for my file or for the (dreaded) underwriting process, they always sent a very organized, easy to understand email explaining exactly what they needed. If I ever had a question about the material (which was rare because they always explained everything so well), they were very quick to reply- if not within the same hour, definitely within the day. I honestly can't say enough good things about this company and my experience with everyone involved. Their patience, understanding, and positive attitude made my first house buying experience a very smooth and easy one- something you don't hear about a house buying process very often!

After years of juggling bills, dodging collection calls and struggling to keep the lights on, I was finally forced to confront reality. Fortunately, Simplified Document Solutions just so happened to be in the nearby vicinity, as I was unaware that filing bankruptcy "pro se" was even an option. I began calling around, thinking that an attorney would readily debunk this prospect, as it just seemed too good to be true. To my surprise, the attorney's offices I spoke with confirmed that I could file bankruptcy if my case was straightforward; meaning that I had no property at stake and that none of my debts were incurred during the past 90 days. As further validation, the company was rated highly with the Better Business Bureau. I rarely write reviews, but when I do it is because the provider's service was exceptionally good or bad. Charles was thorough, patient and personable but most importantly, he provides a service that is only advertised by one other firm the state of Georgia! Thanks to his expertise and affordable fee, I have finally been able to take control and stop the bleeding! My advice to others stuck in predicaments similar to my own: research, shop around and see if this economical alternative is a fit for your case. Most importantly, DON'T GIVE UP... there are options and knowledgeable resources out there that can help!

The customer service was excellent. The relationship banker, Li'yonna Battle, deserves a full 5 out of 5 rating. She went above and beyond -- clearly explaining every detail, taking time to understand my business, and making sure everything was accurate and in order. Her attention to detail truly stood out. While she was helping me, I also noticed her giving great service to others. I loved seeing how the team supported one another and genuinely seemed to enjoy working together. The atmosphere was busy but peaceful at the same time. Although it took about an hour to open the account (which is standard), it didn't feel like an hour because of the quality of service. Thank you, Li'yonna Battle, for your excellent care.
