(I'd like to see a bit more lighting near the game shelves, but I have old eyes.) There were even some dioramas in the center of the store. There's plenty of parking outside. They have a nice variety of games open which you can play, as well as comfortable seating and clean rest rooms. In the gaming area, I saw more packaged "complete sets" of the games with numerous expansion sets, something I personally find preferable to lots and lots and lots of space devoted to expansion sets. I only wish they opened a little earlier in the day on weekdays.

Hobby Lobby in the Holyoke Mall is great! They have an incredible selection of home goods as well…read moreDIY items. When we came in we were amazed at how large the store was and they were having incredible deals on specific items. All of their glass, wood and metal items were 50% off and the store was packed with items. This store also had a phenomenal selection of fabrics which were reasonably priced. They had a ton of sports themed prints, one of my favorites being the Patriots prints. This store also had a ton of craft items such as painting supplies. The final nice part about this store is that they have an incredible clearance section in the rear of the store. The staff was really polite and helpful when we asked them to assist with finding an item. We will definitely be coming back to this store to stock up on items for our home!

I remember John who used to fill in and I think became for all intents and purposes the one who actually managed the store. John was very intelligent and a good conversationalist. The store had rare and old model kits going back to the early 70's as I recall. Hopefully the store now is at least as good as it was years ago.

Its sad that it had to come to this but here's what happened. I contacted their comic store after I…read moresaw that they made a post about buying Funko Pop collections. I asked if they are buying all categories of pops since I know for a while they weren't buying Marvel, DC, Star Wars etc.. He responded and I quote "Yes, We will buy it all". I was glad to hear that and I responded that I would make it there in a week or so since I needed to make arrangements for babysitter & vehicle for transporting the pops. They next responded to call before I show up just to make sure they are still purchasing Funko pops , which I said that I understood. I called a few days ahead, and then called again a day after to remind them I was bringing a 500 piece collection on Saturday morning at 10am. They said that's fine and we will make sure someone is there to help you. I spent hours packing the pops into several boxes and getting them into the van. I was able to borrow a van from someone and find a babysitter last minute so I could do this on my only day off since it was a 4 hour round trip. I drive to their store and tell them I'm the one who called several times and messaged them about my pop collection for sale. The says okay but we are not buying marvel, DC, Star Wars, etc.& that they were not buying any pops over 4" which nobody told me before that moment. I was so baffled that I couldn't believe I heard what he just said to me after all of the communication we had for several days. He said they recently purchased too many pops and are only looking for certain ones. which is fine but why didn't they tell me that in the first place? They obviously have every right to buy whatever they want but to do this to people is just wrong. Then the worker (who was rude in my opinion) made negative remark about every pop that I decided to bring in. I only brought in 2 small boxes at first just to give them an idea of what I had. The guy actually wanted me to lug in all 500 pops so he could cherry pick what he wanted after everything they did to me that morning. After I left I messaged their Facebook account to express my displeasure and all he said was that he was sorry for the mixup. he didnt try to rectify it in anyway or make good on what happened (which I would have respected greatly). I never write reviews like this ever and I'm mad I even have to write it since it seems like a cool place but it just wasn't right what they did, that's bad business.

We had Clue, Sorry, Aggravation, and definitely Scrabble. This company (no matter what name it's going by currently) has been around for 140 years at least! Since 1883 about 1800 Games were published under the Parker Brothers name. It's definitely historic! Post photos of your favorite games! I have loved their games since childhood!

I came in looking for help, and no one offered it. At first, I assumed the staff might just be…read morebusy, so I waited by the front counter for a bit. Even then, no one acknowledged me or came over to ask if I needed assistance. After standing there with no response, I wandered around the store hoping someone might check in. Only one person said hello, and I couldn't even tell if they worked there because they had no badge or uniform. Meanwhile, there were about six people gathered around a table setting up a Warhammer game, complete with miniatures, terrain, and buildings. They were laughing, joking, and clearly enjoying themselves. Could one of them have been an employee ? Who knows!? I don't mind people having fun at work, and I understand they probably all knew each other well. But you'd think at least one of them would have noticed a new customer walking around the store looking a little lost. Not a single person broke away from the group to ask if I needed help or even acknowledge that I was there. What makes it more disappointing is that I genuinely try to support local businesses instead of just ordering everything on Amazon. I'd much rather walk into a store, make a connection, and support a local community space. But this visit made it clear that this particular store didn't seem to care about welcoming new customers or earning that kind of loyalty.
