I was in Naples for a few months and needed a new hairstyle. I was visiting Sorrento and ran into this shop in the middle of Sorrento, a Paul Mitchell salon, how could I go wrong, I'm in Italy. I was met at the front by Teresa who appeared to be the Manager and owner. I later began thinking her name was "CRUELLA" by her aggressive behavior. I showed her a picture of the cut I wanted and on my translate app I stated I was very nervous from going from long hair to shorter, were they comfortable and able to copy the picture. After our discussion from the picture and what I wanted for color, she said 95 Euros, I said OK. Immediately she puts me in a chair and cuts off about 4 inches of my hair bluntly. I became nervous. She began coloring my hair and was constantly interrupted. She did not have the technique I am use to and seem to just take sections of hair and began color without weaving. She at times made me sit for long periods of time staring at the ceiling because she couldn't adjust the chair with no neck support and that was so uncomfortable. Then she moved me to the wash station and there was a conversation about my hair but didn't know what it meant. They thne added toner. Then she passed me to a guy name Areil and he seemed to be the only one who knew what he was doing. I was so glad to get him. I then showed him the picture and at first he seemed hesitant but then began cutting away. I was very uncomfortable and felt intimidated by Teresa. When the cut was done it was nothing like the picture and I was very angry inside. Later when I inspected my hair their is just big blochy blonde spots throughout my hair. I then went to the front to check out where I was told the cost was 165 euros. I tried to have her explain why I was being charged almost double and she began to tell me that all services were a charge. Which we discussed in the beginning and she said 95 euros. My biggest frustration was that they had a picture to go by and my cut or color was nothing like it and she did not give me highlights she just made me blonde. The Italians say "oh she did it Italian style" I would never recommend anyone especially someone other than Italian try it. It is not a salon that should have Paul Mitchell's name on the door and I believe they took advantage of me as I was at the disadvantage. I will post what I wanted and what I got if it will allow me to read more
