I'm so so so grateful to have found Rochelle! Several months ago, I hit an emotional rock bottom…read moreand was desperate to find some sort of reprieve. I had never gone to therapy before but it was something I always wanted to try. I found her through Yelp and was impressed with the reviews and called her for a consultation. She was warm and personable and asked some questions to see if she felt she could help me. Once she determined she could, she set up a weekly time that worked with my schedule. Through my sessions, I gained so much understanding into connecting with my inner self. I had already spent a lot of time dwelling on my childhood emotional traumas and I had felt like I had a good grasp of my emotional patterns. I just hadn't figured out how to heal from them. Her first hypnotherapy session (which I would describe as a guided meditation) was a profound experience for me. She helped me connect visually with the concept of "self love", something I struggled with my whole life. I'm so grateful for the experience, and she was such an incredible emotional support through a very difficult period of time in my life. She helped me maintain healthy coping habits and to deal with hard times gracefully and in a way I feel proud of looking back. She is a wonderful and authentic healer and I highly recommend her!

I never thought I could control my emotions, and wasn't even aware of them, until after this program. My private therapist, Ruth Avalos, was one of the best therapists I've ever had and did an exceptional job. Other amazing therapists there are Sarah, Danielle, Ruby, Sofia, and Patty. All absolutely phenomenal, Suzanne included. There is no DBT clinic anywhere in the area, if anywhere at all, better than this one. There group classes are amazing, the environment very supportive of one another, and very thorough. They also have great phone coaching at a moments notice, that got me through so many difficult moments I would not have survived otherwise. Thank you Suzanne and Wallach and her team. I highly recommend this place.

I think Suzanne Wallach is a very dangerous therapist. I experienced her aggressive and threatening…read morebehavior when I was her patient. Some examples include aggressive emails, from her and her husband threatening me that they were going to call the police; charging upwards of $300 for a non- DBT patient for a 45 minute session which is completely unethical; making disparaging and an accurate comments saying that she was providing me "free treatment", when in fact, she was overcharging me. I'm actually very surprised that she still has her license considering all of this aforementioned behavior that I witnessed. I know that many people have reported her to the BBS and I would encourage anyone that experiences these type of comments and behaviors to do the same. I really hope this review provides comfort to those who have experienced these types of behaviors from her, and to also provide a forewarning to anyone who is considering continuing treatment or starting treatment with Suzanne Wallach.

I was in the PHP program (in person 5 days a week, 3 group sessions per day, and 1-2 individual…read moresessions each week) looking for help with severe depression, anxiety and partially losing my hearing suddenly in my late 20s. This is my experience and why I STRONGLY urge people to proceed with caution if contemplating looking to Cast Centers for help during a vulnerable time in your life: THE GOOD The one positive thing about Cast was the ability to connect with other humans who were experiencing their own struggles and trying to heal collectively in a group setting. I was able to connect to people who understood me in a time when I needed it; that is the only positive I have to give this place, and the reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1. THE BAD Throughout the day, you will listen to a guided meditation on YouTube or Pandora, do a worksheet that was clearly printed from a psychology website, watch a Ted Talk/inspirational video, and go around the circle and answer how it made you feel. While there was a therapist present, I rarely felt that professional input was provided to a lot of what people were saying they needed help with. I personally learned more from the other people in group with me than the therapists involved. This place isn't cheap-and most of the time it felt like when you had a substitute teacher wheel the TV into class. THE UGLY Mental health providers aren't perfect and don't know all the answers; however, showing effort and that they care about you as a person is a critical part of therapy that I DID NOT receive during my time at Cast. From day 1 I said I needed help processing a condition I have that caused me to partially lose my hearing. I wasn't feeling supported after being in the program for 3 weeks and asked BOTH of the therapists assigned to me if they had done any research on my condition, Googled hearing loss, or even watched a movie about deaf people so maybe they could help me and both of their responses: no. Secondly- I experienced a hearing emergency WHILE under care at Cast and updated them about what was going on. In order to preserve hearing, I requested that we do not watch or listen to anything in group sessions while on strict orders from my doctor to remain in quiet locations for 1 week. The very next day- they played a 40 minute Ted Talk video, which made my issue worse and need to leave for the day (which they reported as me not completing the session that day). They showed zero care to a very simple disability accommodation, and it was made clear they are not prepared to assist people with disabilities. The staff at Cast seems woefully under qualified to handle those who may be in a crisis period in life, especially those with unique circumstances. Also- beware about Dr. Mylett, something is very off putting with her (other people I met in the program expressed both of these things as well, which is why I included it). While this is my experience, it shows the lack of central characteristics that are needed to help people in their tough times in life. My personal advice is to continue your search elsewhere, but to each their own. Be blessed!
