This is actually located in Penarth, and it's a tiny little station with only one platform right next to a bunch of houses, and I guess if you live in this neighbourhood in one of these terrace houses, then it's cool to have a train that runs right by your house, although it probably produces the lamp value LOL. I meant it reduces the Land Value, but if there are lamp values here it probably produces them too. It's a lovely little neighbourhood station and definitely does a good job for people that live around here. It literally looks like a bus stop and doesn't have any kind of a station house - and you can walk right onto the platform easily through the little old stone wall that's here, not to be confused with Stonewall Jackson, who would never let you walk right through him. With…read moreonly two intermediary stops to choose from (Grangetown and Dingle Road), the diversity is somewhat lacking. Dingle Road, like Grangetown, has no barriers or ticket collection, or indeed anyone to talk to unless there happen to be other passengers lingering nearby. But the location is quite handy for those people who live further away from the coast, other than that there's not too much around. With Penarth only a further 200ft down the track, I would advise most people to get off there instead. It should be noted that I gave Dingle Road an extra star because it has a great name. Not exactly somewhere you'd want to hang around for hours on end but if you drop in to get a cab it does the trick. Just been opened by Cardiff Bus customer relations that timetables only matter at timings points…read more All other timetables should be considered to be for entertainment only. Cardiff Bus has no interest in accurate timetabling for customer, and is only interested in average times regardless of how that affects driver behaviour in skipping stops - the stats look good. I was informed that their advice (though not written anywhere) is to expect it 5 minutes earlier. If only their buses all had a 5 minute waiting time between them. On time is on time. Late is late. Early is early. To fob me off with an excuse of it's not a timing point' indicates the level to which the customer is reduced to less important than statistics. It shows where their priorities lie. Getting really tired ofsuch poor service across the board with nothing being done due to some piss-poor excuse. This won't change anything either, but at least you know now not to rely on them and give yourself a wide margin for their error. Cardiff should be embarrassed by the association.

B line are a great little company especially if you live in the Penarth, Llandough or Dinas Powys…read morearea. They may not be flashy (for example they don't text you when they arrive or anything so you need to do a bit of good old fashioned curtain twitching to keep an eye out) but they are efficient. I've never really had any problems with their timing and the majority of drivers have been polite, chatty and decent. Pricing is pretty good too, with a taxi from Llandough into Cardiff costing about £7
