Walking around the town doesn't take too long (2 hours), so it's nice to have a place to kill some time/get out of the cold/heat, and grab some nice coffee/drink and kick up your legs. This GEM of a cafe/bar is right under the main overpass/road into town. The downstairs area is bustling and cozy, but the upstairs area is the really cute place so I definitely recommend everyone to go up there to check it out after you get your wine/coffee/etc. It's got a great wooden decor inside, a really romantic vibe, but I could see it getting my happening at night/on the weekend nights. There were seriously like 3 couples on coffee dates there. I've heard the coffee here is great but didn't have any, just had a nice glass of red wine. One thing I'd say is that it gets really crowded/long line when a big crowd walks in, they should probably figure out an easier way to serve people. BTW, this place was listed in Lonely Planet, and normally I don't love all their suggestions but this place is definitely worthy, especially for a smaller town like this.

The sign was clear and this spot was easy to find. They have the cutest little outdoor patio with about 10 tables. 5 on each side of door. A great spot to sit outside and people watch. Also of course the scenery is just lovely. I liked when you walk inside it really is like a cellar (hence the name). You walk down some steps that twist and it takes you to the main downstairs bar area where the cashier is with their little pastry and drink shelf. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the little snack bites looked. There were premade sandwiches, easy for on the go. They also had a few croissants and most impressive was their beautiful cakes! You could buy a slice. I regret not getting a slice but was watching my calories for the day. The day I came through they had carrot cake, mango cake, and blueberry cake. Yum. I ended up just ordering their recommended Somersby Cider. They had apple and pear, so I went with pear. Probably one of the best non-apple flavored ciders I've had in awhile. So refreshing! I liked it better than the quiche. It was so rich in flavor, you could probably only eat one. Buy more for later at home. The coffee was perfection and their soup-bowl sized cups were perfect for burying your face in each sip. If you are hitting old town, carve out an hour to savor this gem.
