Just an absolutely amazing place…read more Came here while on a short tour of France and it ended up being my favorite place. I have a tradition that my favorite place is the the place I return to before going back home and the tradition remains. Stopped by here while walking around and exploring. It looked like a chill place I could read and have a coffee and it was just that. Emilie's has a nice outside (with awning) and a chill inside, with air conditioning. All the seating is very comfortable, but inside has soft seating, if that's your thing. WiFi is excellent and you've got some table games to choose from on a shelf also. The staff is exceptionally nice and speak magnificent English. The coffee is good, but it's the tasty treats that are incredible. I had a cookie, which was great, but their zucchini bread BLEW ME AWAY!!! If I go back to Canne, I think I'll end up living here. PS: Watch out for pigeons if you sit outside. They're as aggressive as my native NYC pigeons.

This was my favorite Bagel, Brunch, and Coffee place while I was in Cannes!…read more The staff are very friendly! Many of them speak English fluently, but are very nice and patient with you if you practice speaking your French! The cafe also has a "set menu" where you can choose from a salad or bagel menu and combine it with a cookie or a drink for a relatively affordable price! This is very helpful for students on a budget. The portions sizes were large and could match up American sized meal standards! The place is also very cute and trendy for pictures or just hanging out! Ps the Nutella muffin is amazing!!

Korean American tourist from California…read more Went to Le Palais des Pains since it's nearby the Cannes train station and we were treated with such racism.. I was honestly shocked. My husband ordered a "hot coffee with milk" and the younger staff began to laugh in his face saying, "what is MILK??? What is MiLK?!!!" Girl- u should know what milk is if you're working at a coffee shop across the street from a train station in a tourist location that serves tourists. She continued to take other peoples orders - letting them pass us in line_ talking to her coworker in French while looking straight in our eyes and laughing. I don't understand how someone can be so blatantly rude and disgusting - and for what reason?! Please avoid this place. Nothing special anyways - just go to the Starbucks right across the street.

On a desperate hunt for a perfect pain au chocolat in Cannes, my friend and I found this gem of a…read moreplace one morning and made sure to go back every morning we were in town. The boulangerie is conveniently located right across from the train station, which made for super convenient breakfasts as we hopped on and off of the train. The prices were super fair and everything looked incredible! A bonus for Americans who can't kick the habit of sitting down for coffee is that they do coffee to-go! PAIN AUX RAISINS: Not my favorite, I've had versions of this where the "escargot" is more of a croissant texture throughout but this one was more like bread with raisins and formed into a spiral shape. I was thrown off by the breadiness, but still a good option if you're just looking for fun bread! PAIN AU CHOCOLAT AMANDE: Quite possibly the best chocolate almond croissant I've ever eaten in life. With enough time to kill, I made sure to carefully look at every single item this bakery sold to make sure I was choosing the best option. My eyes were locked on this croissant and I'm so glad I tried it. While some versions are overly sweet and others are not flavorful enough, this one was a beautiful combination of flaky, sweet, and decadent. Chocolate and almonds and carbs and lots of butter, what more could you ever ask for?? Convenient location, perfect croissants, and on-the-go options... this palace of bread has everything you'd ever need.
