The caramel was our favorite and the close second was the yogurt with berry! We are regretting not getting a larger pack. Also, many of their dessert items label their ingredients, so for people like me who can't have gluten, it was great to see what I could order... though I only got the macarons. However, be prepared to be drooling when you go in. Next time I'll definitely want to try their chocolates and their fancy desserts!

I stumbled upon this place accidentally. A patisserie some tourist materials suggested turned out to be closed, and we found this place open on the walk back from the closed shop to our hotel and gave it a try. Our pastries were very good. The woman who worked there was friendly and very tolerant of my bumbling attempts to speak French, which I swear I spoke well (apart from a strong American accent) nine years ago after years of study but apparently forgot. They had the best pastries I had during my week and a half stay in Nice and theirs were great compared to those I had across months in Paris. This is a very good place for French pastries in Nice.

I always ordered a cappuccino, a pastry or two, and sat outside. The green pastry is the best! And the brown French cookies - I wish I remembered the name - I brought a package home and they were devoured by my family! So amazing! The shop is on a small street with boutique clothing stores surrounding it, so there isn't much traffic, except for the occasional car and pedestrians. Perfect for sitting outside and observing the street scenery. There is also indoor seating, but I always sat outside. The service is amazing and the staff are so friendly! I developed a quick friendship with one of the ladies working at Canet. She helped me pick out the desserts she thought I'd like and was very patient with my indecisiveness. I love that this place was so warm and inviting when I was traveling solo through Europe!

I like the fact that they gave the milk on the side so I can do my own froth art, lol. And more importantly, I was able to control how much milk to add. The pastry was "flat," did it get crushed...? It was still good/okay. Ambiance - A very small shop on the main road. Well because it was on the main road (yesterday's cafe was on the side road next to the main road), I think I enjoyed it less. There were too many people walking by who were too close to me. Too many people interrupting my morning coffee asking for $$. Yesterday, I stayed an hour drinking my coffee, today... 20 minutes. Service - Counter service. It was okay and quick. He cracked jokes with the people behind me. Hard workers also, not sure if they were brothers...?
