I'm new to all this so stick with me!
I have been going to this little cafe for some time now, so imagine my surprise when I read the first review.
I have only ever found the staff very frendly and chatty which makes for a pleasent experiance when on your own. Yes they do have wipe clean table covers, but they are very nice coffee bean inspired ones.
There is no blackboard above the bar, infact there is no bar as such, just a cake counter where they have the most delicious homemade cakes, made in the small kitchen at the back. You should smell them when they come out of the oven. The aroma fills the cafe it's lovely!
I think the prices are very resonable, with soup AND any sandwich from the menu for only £4.95. and HOT scones with clotted cream and jam + tea or coffee for only £2.95, one of my fav's.
The homemade soups and daily specials are great and always have a vegeterian option.
In short I think it's well worth a visit, there are cheaper cafes around, but if you don't want to come out smelling like fried sausage or chips, then this is the plase for you.
P.S. the spicy chai latte is great as well as the hot chocs with mallows and cream. read more
