There is a nice public art display called "Escape Destinations" here located at the street corner part of the park. As well as a playground on the eastern part of the park. We'd prepped our kids for "going to a park without a playground" and then were OH SO ENTHUSIASTIC about this mission..... as we drove past the Bryant Neighborhood Playground I could literally hear three tiny gasps in the back seat..... we pulled over not-un-sharply and the kids could not get out of the car fast enough. This is such a lovely little playground. Equipment is older but in a very quaint way and still completely useable and safe. I LOVED the little merry-go-round.... its been so long since I've seen one of these! There was also tons of green space and trees for shade. One of my little monkeys found a great climbing tree and gave me a few more grey hairs. As we had never been to this part of Seattle before, I took a little walk through the neighborhoods - lots of cherry blossoms and many houses have free-little-libraries. I absolutely loved it. Several square picnic tables spaced on the street side of the playground and a tennis court available..... this is certainly a place we'll consider for future visits :)

What's unique about this small little park is that it's a Community P-Patch Garden and Demonstration Garden. From my research I've found that it started in 2009 and has grown significantly over the last four years. The garden program is a partnership between WSU Extension Master Gardener Program and the City of Bremerton Parks & Recreation Department. The Land was known as White's Blueberry Farm, a commercial enterprise that harvested blueberry plants. I've heard that a small number of the original blueberry plants remain and can be found in the NW corner of today's Blueberry Park. This place seems like a great place for new gardeners just starting out, or for seasoned gardeners looking to share their knowledge with others. They even donate most of the produce to the Bremerton Food Line. It's worth a stop just to relax a bit and check out gardens that other folks have been working on.

Raab Park's entryway is a crash/accident-causing bottleneck with one narrow passage way for cars,…read moredogwalkers, skateboarders and utility vehicles like trash trucks and maintenance heavy trucks. The paved road is a tiny ribbon with edges that teeter off into the dirt - not gently sloped. City of Poulsbo Parks and Recreation department has liability here - waiting for the lawsuit shoe to drop. Once inside however, you can enjoy several nature interaction features, even nature solitude, while the children's playground has been revamped as of 2025. The park manages to fit in many things such as the following -- * A designed, interactive, children's educational garden managed by trained "Master Gardeners." Here, tons of produce are grown and donated for charitable food distribution. Imaginative and whimsical garden sculpture will draw surprise delights, and thoughtful plantings offer live lessons of ecology. * A "community garden" with multiple raised growing beds, where citizens rent a "patch" to grow their own fresh vegetables (and it has a compost pile in the back if you want to drop off your kitchen scraps). Rent includes gardening tools, watering hoses, and a generally well-run operation. * A skatepark, basketball courts, picnic shelter with multiple picnic tables for the community to hold events * A fun quirky children's playground with fun swings and slides * A view through the trees and downhill, of Poulsbo's downtown and harbor, flanked on the far horizon by the Olympic mountain range, an excellent place to watch a summer sunset. Sadly the park benches face in the opposite direction from this jaw-dropping view--back towards a worn walkway and old picnic table. The imagination of bureaucracies and their workmen of how people might behold nature and appreciate its grandeur is seriously impaired (such a view of the Olympic Mountain Range and they set up seats facing the opposite direction?!) * A few single-track foot trails into the woods around the perimeter of the flat, artificially planted lawn lead into wooded hillsides and offer shady nooks, rich with bird calls, to escape from the open hilltop monoculture of grass * The central flat expanse of monocultural grass is a horrendous ecological desert, a big zero--but fits the American settler desire aesthetic of claiming land into the wide horizon. (Beware the many entitled dog owners who run their pets without leashes on this wide open space, yet another City liability -- waiting to become a law suit.) This park is used by many people and is wonderful for people watching, while still having space for your own private experience of communing with nature.
