They have a viewing area upstairs, where I did many hours of Calculus II. Er... I mean, where I could watch my little darling. It is expensive, but not for Competitive Cheer, and they offer wonderful fundraising activities. I did not have time to do them, as I was enrolled in four classes, working full time and pregnant... lol... but I know other moms were able to raise the full tuition that way.

Most of the classes are geared for women but they do offer a Co-ed Yoga class. Let's be clear...I do NOT enjoy working out myself....but I'm getting older and time is not on my side! There's a variety of classes to choose from... pole classes (ladies, you'll be surprised what you can do!) strength conditioning, aerial yoga(once you take this class, a regular yoga class will seem BORING!). Shannon is a great instructor who challenges you but is mindful of your body's limitations. She will push you though! Sometimes a little ass- kicking is good for the soul;) Kelly and Dawn are amazing pole instructors who are not only patient going over every tiny step but help you find your inner sexiness...ooohhlala! Surf into Summer Camp is a great program which is why it is North Florida's elite and longest running camp. The 3 to 1 student to instructor ratio provides students with important individual attention. The program is very effective IMO and emphasizes ocean awareness, surfing techniques, surf etiquette, and proper equipment and wave selection. The camp instructors are truly top notch and it's very cool to see kids catching their first wave and taking their surfing to the next level!

As of today, I have given them a MONTH to reply. I even followed up with two additional emails, a voicemail message and a Facebook message and nothing except a Facebook response saying the best form of communication is email. I am ok with no refund, but at the least there should have been a response with an offer of resolution (surf camp the following summer, money towards private lessons, etc.). Any reputable business has a Covid policy at this point. Very disappointing. Too many surf camps to choose from in this area to accept this sort of poor customer service. I'll wrap this up as my donation to their local business and give my repeat business and recommendation elsewhere.

Today I've learned that being a lifeguard is not just a summer job, it is a lifetime commitment…read more While assisting at a photo shoot for a local magazine, I had the opportunity to tour our local lifeguard volunteer station at Jacksonville Beach. There is soooo much history on the walls and in the walls at this. Even more, I am surprised it's survived so many hurricanes. I even had the opportunity to tour their watch-post which consisted of a cascading, spiral cast iron staircase approximately three stories high. Yelp! That was a workout! You would think lifeguards are super serious based in their persona on duty.... nope. They have a huge sense of humor when off duty. Especially, when it comes to photo shoots. I also learned that their favorite game is WATER POLO which is actually, indiscreetly a workout. LOL! Overall, Atlantic/Jacksonville Beach just cannot get any cooler than what it is now. And to know we are protected 7 days a week with some of the best, well-trained lifeguards (many being active or inactive military men and women) is such a relief.
