I would not recommend Marni "the CPR lady" for BLS/ACLS certification. My experience was extremely…read moreunprofessional from start to finish. A little over a year ago, my friend and I scheduled and paid for a BLS class through her website. We showed up on time at the listed location, only to find that no one was there. After waiting about 20 minutes, we tried calling her with no answer. When she finally picked up, she told us she was teaching a class somewhere else and had no idea we were even scheduled or had already paid. She apologized and asked if we could wait another 20 minutes for her to arrive--which we did, because we needed the certification. While she did eventually show up and complete the class, the entire situation was stressful and completely avoidable. As healthcare professionals, our time is valuable, and being left waiting with no communication is unacceptable. To make up for it, she offered us a discount on a future ACLS course. However, when I recently reached out to take her up on that offer, she never responded. No follow-up, no accountability--just ignored. Overall, this felt very disorganized, unreliable, and honestly shady. I would strongly suggest going with a more professional and established provider for something as important as your certifications.

I'm a student at AMSC, and we had this lady come in to teach our very first BLS class. We need the…read morecertification because we're going on externships soon, and we can't even get placed without it. Our class was split into groups, and when it was my group's turn, the whole experience went downhill fast. From the start, the way she treated us was just... off. I don't know if she was having a bad day or what, but her attitude was rude and unprofessional, especially toward some of the other students. She gave us a test where if you got four questions wrong, you had to retake it. I ended up with a 76% (six wrong), so I didn't pass the first time. Fine, I studied and retook it, and I got a 100%. She told me I'd get my certificate at a certain time, but that time came and went and no certificate. When I emailed her, she replied quickly but then said I had to do remediation before I could get my certificate. Here's where it felt unfair: there were four other girls in my group who missed more questions than me and still passed, but I was the only one she told had to go all the way to her location just to get my certificate. I honestly felt singled out and targeted, like I had done something to personally offend her. If she had just told me from the beginning, even after I passed with 100% that she still didn't think I was ready, I would've understood. But the way she handled it just felt shady and disrespectful. This was my first time taking a BLS class, and it was the worst experience. I even considered retaking with her in the future when my certification expires, but after this? Never again. To make it worse, she kept my $50, and I never got my certificate through her. Thankfully, my school stepped in, brought another instructor who was amazing and professional, and they covered the cost for us. At the end of the day, I wouldn't recommend going through her at all. If she had just been honest and fair from the start, I wouldn't have had an issue. Instead, I left feeling disappointed, frustrated, and targeted.
