As an out-of-town bride not originally coming from the Kansas City/NE Kansas area, she suggested a lot of vendors in town based on her own experiences (some of whom I eventually went with and others I took the spirit of the idea from). When we hit a snag right on the wedding day, she kept cool and helped us out with ensuring the wedding did go on. She even finished sharing our wedding photos with us ahead of the 4th of July holiday! If she does other types of photography outside of weddings, engagements and formal events, I would always hire her.

Sandy reached out to me in a timely manner and gave me all the information I needed to help make my decision. I placed my deposit and she communicated with me before and after the party with all my questions I had. She has great customer service and pricing options available depending on what your party needs may be. I know she has done events both large and small. She arrived early to set up and even cleaned up after she packed up her items. Our guests all loved the backdrop and props provided by Sandy. They had fun being serious and silly taking photos with the graduation boy and even without! She even took the time to make sure the graduation parents got a photo during the party. I loved that she included a photo book of the photos for us to keep as well as a flash drive. She even took her own photos during to share with me. I will definitely be sharing her business with others. I also will use her again in 3 years when my last one graduates. She helped eliminate the stress of making sure that I had photo memories while making memories at our event. Thank you Sandy! I look forward to working with you again!

The Photo Bus was at our Yelp Winter Wonderland party and was a great addition to the festivities!…read more I enjoyed their concept of a bus better than a usual photo booth. Being inside a bus allowed you to sit down, rearrange yourself, and choose your props. The best part was the you got to hold the clicker, and choose exactly when you wanted your picture taken. No more spontaneous flashes catching you off-guard from a typical photobooth. He also printed out a copy for every member of the picture without us needing to ask. A photo bus is a great concept and I hope to see it at more parties in the future.

Flat out awesome…read more I've dealt with a number of event photographers, and The Photo Bus definitely stands out in a couple of important ways. First of all, you have the fact that it's a BUS. It's an awesome visual element for your event that you just cannot replicate in a traditional photo booth. Plus, this means that when you are taking a photo, you know exactly how much space you have to deal with when posing. It's pretty damn ingenious. I like that the owners will decorate the bus. I was at a holiday party and they had it lit up with Christmas lights and a sleigh on top. Just crazy fun. Second, instead of a very short period of time between pictures like most photo booths, the subjects themselves hold a clicker and are responsible for taking the shots. No more wasted pictures due to not being ready. Ultimately, this means superior photos and keepsakes from events. Photos come out as 4 shots on one printed sheet, and if you are nice he'll sometimes give you an extra copy. Obviously this won't work for every event, as you have to be able to get a VW bus into the location, but if it's a possibility, I'd suggest going with The Photo Bus.

On the day of the wedding, she showed up on time to begin taking photos as I got ready. She was easy to work with and a pleasure to have around. Her videographer, Liz, was excellent as well. Pricing was very competitive. I've seen a sneak peak of the photos and everything is looking great so far. Once I get the final photo and video in, I will update the review. Check out her website for photo samples. Her style of photography is modern and unique. She is all about getting the feel of the day, not just a bunch of people posed waiting for the shot to be taken. And she is willing to travel! So don't let that stop you from booking her. Overall, great to work with, great photos, great price.

The location that they had set up was a beautiful farm in Stilwell (Serendipity Farms) and they had arranged a huge beautiful wreath in front of the barn for a gorgeous backdrop. We were there for about 30 minutes and had a great time; Rye & her husband Chase were SO great with our toddler. They made him laugh and smile and really gained his trust so he had a blast and cooperated like a little angel. A week after our shoot we met at their studio to go over the photos where we then narrowed it down to our favorite shots. We chose 'Package A' which included 5 printed photos for $750. Here is where I dock one star because I couldn't find any pricing on the Rye Studios website before going into this meeting, so it was a little awkward discussing pricing and options in the moment. It was difficult to follow the package pricing versus the a la carte options. I also wish we would have been provided the digital copies of the photos we chose; The only digital copies we have were the ones uploaded to the Rye Studios Facebook - with the logo attached. All in all, the photos turned out spectacular but based solely on the price for 5 prints, we will probably only use Rye for special occasions. If they had offered a flat session fee for digital copies I would hire them multiple times a year! I will reiterate that I am thrilled with the shots that we did get, I just wish we had access to them.

I had happened onto their site when I saw an offer on FB for a free photo shoot at their barn. I'm a bargain finder, had not set this up yet for my family this year and thought "Boom!." We walked into the studio to review our photos, my husband and I, and were blind-sided by our choices of: Pkg A:$750 Pkg B:$1100 Pkg C:$1250 Ok. I should've asked when I called. I know. Guilty! But these prices were off the chart crazy. We bought, out of naivete. Hindsight..... Their product was beautiful, though! We love our proofs and have learned from this one!

After speaking with the wife, who then proceeded to give me the run around...on the 6th phone call, she informs me they can do it but it will be for 3 hours and I will owe them another $100. She had already told me the day and time was fine, but with each phone call, the story changed. Her husband wasn't going to be able to call me within 48 hours because he had a lot of phone calls and stuff to do. So basically their coupon on Living Social and Groupon is a bait and switch. They tell you...when your party will be and they add more money and time on, OR they're not doing your party. I bought the voucher in August 2014, I was within all the guidelines and terms. I called 4 months in advance, I was polite, always returned phone calls and asked great questions. If you ask me, the wife is a ditz and a liar. The husband is a flake for allowing her to answer the phone and throw away business. My parties are always great with several hundred guests, so it would have been wonderful advertisement. Sad for you KC Fun Photo Booth, your professionalism is sorely lacking and as for your coupons, it's obvious you don't honor your own terms. I'm glad Social Living is upstanding and honors their terms otherwise I'd be out the money and party entertainment for one of my children. KC Fun Photo Booth sucks and Buyer Beware on Groupon & Social Living.
