As a resident of Merritt Island, I see these taxis all over the place. So when I was in need of a ride, I called them 2 hours in advance and arranged a set time pick-up. Once they were 10 minutes late, I called them to ask where they were. I was told that they were on their away. 20 minutes late, I called again and was "disconnected". Tried calling again and the phone had been put to a busy signal. Was never able to reach them again. Ended up walking to a neighbor's and getting a ride from them. My husband was at home and told me that they never showed up or called our home. I will NEVER use again. read more

We booked transport for our drive to the hotel from the airport and back again after our cruise. Family of 8 including two kids under 2. They assured us they would bring car seats for the infants. From the airport we had no carseats. Then we addressed the issue and they assured us the next day on our trip to the boat they'd have them. They showed up with one for our two infants. We addressed it with the driver, and he put it on our card with asterisks that we needed carseats once we were picked up from the boat. They showed up with zero carseats. That's when it got real fun, packed in the taxi bus with 14 or so other passengers a hydraulic line burst in the cab severely burning two passengers. We yelled " fire" in the back since there was black and grey smoke. The driver pulled over and didn't direct anyone off. Finally people started getting off and then the two injured passengers sat on the ground. The driver stayed on the bus (he later said he was trying to see if there was a fire and to put it out. 10 minutes later though we as passengers went looking for the first aid kit since the two passengers were burned. The driver didn't get off. My husband and I helped out the wounded, got them ice packs and mess for their burns. Then we started to direct people to get away from the vehicle in case the bus was on fire or the interstate traffic should wreck into us. Finally the driver came out and said he didn't know what went wrong but to get back on the bus since that was the instruction from the office. At this point the driver didn't tell the office that he had wounded passengers. Probably because he hadn't spent one minute calming the passengers or making sure everyone was okay. We called the office and told them there were folks with serious burns. They sent out another bus. It wasn't the drivers fault but his handling of the situation was very poor and lacked leadership. We called the office as we discovered we left items on the old bus, Since it wasn't safe for us to return back on it and check for left items. The driver should have done this check but again, he handled everything very poorly. When we called, the office said to give them our credit card number so we could pay for the shipping of our items. read more

When another taxi hung me out to dry, I called Cocoa Beach Taxi (at 6:45am) and as promised, they showed up exactly 15 minutes later. They're really reliable and their telephone dispatcher was friendly. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. I called at 10:55pm and waited...when my taxi was 20min late, I called back to ask if they were still coming- the guy on the line told me that his driver just left and that she called me three times and I should have picked up my phone- I told him that's impossible I'm sitting here phone in hand waiting for her. So then he tells me she is across the street and will come right back. Ten minutes pass and the driver actually calls me this time to tell me she'll be here in 20 minutes, and I said the guy I just talked to told me you were across the street?? She hung up on me. When I called to check and see if she was still coming the man yelled at me for calling and said, "If you would stop calling me you'd get her call!!!" I got her call though, my issue was the EIGHTY MINUTE WAIT TIME! Are you kidding me??? She never came, I called UBER, got a ride by a cool guy within 3 minutes, I will NEVER EVER EVER call Cocoa Beach Taxi again. read more

We used this service to get to the ship from the hotel. They were 45 minutes late (scheduled for 9:30 picked us up at 10:15). We scheduled a pick up on the day we returned to the port to go back to the hotel, they said they had no reservation. We were a glutton for punishment and asked for a taxi at the hotel to take us to a restaurant, they were 25 minutes late and charged us (party of 9-3 kids) triple the meter rate both ways read more
